  • In a world now full of electric and hybrid vehicles, the Philippines always wondered when it was finally going be part of the innovative change.
We’ve had our fair share of entries like the Honda CRZ, the Toyota Prius among other cars, but they never really took off like they did now due to price & support.
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Nissan Kicks, one of the newest - most affordable hybrid electric vehicle that's available in the country starting at only 1.2M.
It combines a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine and an electric motor to produce 134 horsepower and 280nm of torque.
The hybrid system helps to boost fuel efficiency, making it an ideal choice for city driving that makes up to 16 km/l in the city and 22 km/l in the highway and a total drive of about 600 km on a charge/tank.
Our review today is powered by Ambi-Pur Car Fresheners.
My name is Reph Bangsil for Reph Motors and the question that remains is, does this have what it takes to be your first electric vehicle?

I have to admit, the only reason why I am still having second thoughts on hybrid vehicles, is that I know nothing about driving one and maintaining one. I feel overwhelmed by the new technology. I don't even know if I can drive it out of the casa to bring it home. I really appreciate that short part of the video wherein you're teaching how to use it. I just wish there was more. I hope there is a crash course video or something. Anyway, thank you for this!

It's easy. Ive driven from casa to home fairly easy. Just a bit adjusment with the e pedal as it engine breaks when you release the accelrator. but thats bout it. stay in one mode and just choose between D and B. the experience of driving it is just great.

Nice but does not make sense if ev mode only bringns you up to 7 kilometers lol... i think you should just buy it for its driving prowess. its ev technology is half baked.

It's an EV, not at all a hybrid.

Its a series hybrid. I drive one. It drives the same as an EV and only the electric motor drives the car. But it still has an engine that charges the battery. so fuel is still necessary to charge it. But the fuel engine doesnt run the wheels at all, hence a series hybrid not the usual parallel hybrid sold in PH which what most refers to as a "Hybrid".
