Mine have a perfect kill ratio. The biggest advantage over the old reliable wooden Victor trap is that this model ensures the mouse is in the perfect position to get its head/neck crushed. No more mouse walking over it and crushing its leg.

I just bought a pack of these same Victor's at Walmart for 6 bucks set them within 35 minutes caught 4 these traps are the best in my opinion.

I can't thank you enough for this video, I am 65 and have only set a trap maybe 40 years ago, those wooden traps that snap ones finger. After watching your video I put my big girl pants on and set the vector trap with ease and I was able to take it out by myself. Thank You Again!!
In my experience, there traps are underpowered with an inadequate spring. After giving several of them a try, I threw them all in the garbage.
Just used one after the cold brought us a field mouse. Worked great with Swiss cheese. Mine has a much more positive set. Works great. Walmart has them.

Just got these today for a mouse my tenant saw in the laundry room. These are really sensitive, i like the mechanics of how it operates better than traditional traps.
These are the best traps I've ever used. I have voles in my yard, and they have been either smart enough or quick enough to avoid the standard wooden traps or anything with a trigger that needs to be depressed to trip the trap. The hinged lid trigger on the bait vessel with this trap is something that the voles have not been able to figure out, and I have nearly 100% efficiency in catching these pests. I will say, though, if you have bigger rodents than the small voles I have, the trap may not be as efficient. I've had one field mouse, and one very large vole seem to have pulled away from the kill bar before expiring, as I found them a few inches beyond the trap. Otherwise, I'd highly suggest this trap over any other on the market.

I used to use these when I had mice and they work really good
These are the ones I have migrated to. I used to be 100% old school Victor traps. However, the staples holding down the spring kept popping, destroying the trap. The best part about these is that the other mice can't raid the bait once one gets snapped. So I can dump the mouse and reset.

edstars101 he runs out of traps first because mice reproduce very VERY quickly. they aren't pregnant very long and i does not take very long until the children can reproduce again either

I purchased this trap to catch two mice in our house. It's very sensitive, and very effective. The second mouse took a bit more time, I then used Shawn's technique of putting some bait on the outside of the bait holder as a greater temptation. That was enough incentive to get the second mouse. Thanks for posting!
I put the peanut butter on the underside of the cup so they have to push up to lick it. Never fails.
Best traps I've ever used. Easy to set and easy release. Peanut butter or small piece of walnut are good bait.

yo shawn--id be curious to see 10 trials of the trap (altho i know it's a lot of filming! = P). i like how theres the hole so the mouse has to have his head there to get the food--but im still skeptical about it always getting a kill shot.
so could you use the spanish windless as the engine to power the mojave scissor trap and if so how could you set it and would you make a video doing so i like both of those traps and would be interested in seeing those two combined in a mega trap i think it would be a good self sustained trap to catch small game or rats in your case
These work great. Any recommendations for when catching them slows down ? Are the mice getting smarter or am I just reducing their numbers?

I have this trap, and I found one mouse that was badly dazed (It couldn't tell I was there) next to it. This mouse came at it from the side and was hit by the metal part of the kill bar. I had to kill the mouse another way after finding it. That said it does work very well if the mouse is in position to get hit by the red part of the kill bar.

Tip for all traps - spray the trigger mechanism with Pam cooking spray. Then bait. Works for my old metal Victors. Set trap down gently...

Gonna try these out, I like how it positions the mouse perfectly so it dies right away. I just had an unfortunate experience where the wood trap caught the mouse, but caught it sideways and didn’t kill it and I had to finish the job myself…….would really prefer to not go through that experience again.
Shawn I have two of these and the way to make it better is super glue a razor blade onto it I did this and it WORKS PERFECTLY!!

My friend has a mouse problem, we got a couple of these and have had good luck although they did go off a couple times without a mouse.
I bought this and I’d say within 40 minutes the mouse came back and completely fell for the trap! 5 stars from me. Caught 6 mice with this baby.

I own these and they are perfect, I stick my cheese or whatever I use underneath the lid, sometimes they manage to beat the trap if you put the food in the bottom but these are easy to use and no where near as touchy as those wooden ones we grew up using, I hate those things and we had more empty traps with those...

These traps work great. Very easy to set and to dump the dead mouse away. I put 4 in a row in a small box. Caught 4 mice. These traps do not fly around like the traditional ones do.
What if there was a trap, like the one in this video, but at the end of the kill bar, a blade of some sort (like the razor blade from a Box Cutter) was fixed to the end of the bar?
Seems like that would just make a bigger, potentially infectious mess to clean up.
I just bought some Ratsak Fastkill mouse traps here in Australia. They appear to be the exact same device and I suspect that Victor and Ratsak are somehow tied together.
I found this mousetrap orders of magnitude better than everything else I've ever tried and a number of them are reviewed on your page.
On a scale of 1 to 10 how do you reckon these compare and if you have an recommendations as to anything better what would you say is better.
The ratsak packaging has the exact same picture of a mouse entering the trap as the Victor. There's either been a licensing agreement or one company owns the other.

At 1:29 it looks like the mouse was not killed immediately. I bought this trap and had a similar experience as the mouse was still alive, moving around in the trap, so I had to finish the mouse off myself.

I caught seven mice one place and two another with this trap but out of six one fell apart and the other came with bent red bar, they said it would not work but i grabbed it by mistake .and it failed. They have yet to send me replacement i provided them with photos and upc

I had to adapt this trap for it to work. I drilled two small holes in the red kill bar, pushed two paneling nails into the holes and hot glued them into place. Devastating when it goes off. Penetrates their skull/neck area and kills them quickly. Before I modified the traps, every mouse and vole escaped.
Mine never escaped yet but I've had the same idea. Drilling holes in the kill bar and putting a small protruding nail their! I seen the potential 🥰
