Hamilton, ON FS Modulator 5020 Emergency Siren Test 1/11/24

I had the chance to witness the testing of the campus emergency sirens at McMaster University (1/11/24). This year, the university announced the testing a couple of days in advance, which was a change from the previous practice of only providing a day's notice. I went to see the siren test of the FS Modulator 5020s and I chose the Mod along Highway 8 on the West side of the university. At exactly 10:21 AM, there was a pop of the drivers, followed by a voice, and then the actual tone. The test only lasted for a short time. Nonetheless, it was still an exciting experience, and I was thrilled to witness my first modulator siren test! The weather held up somewhat okay - just light snow at the time of the test, so it wasn't too bad weather-wise.

- Siren Info: 3 FS Modulator 5020 sirens were installed here at McMaster University sometime before/after 2011.
- Purpose: Emergency siren
