- Recorded on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. This is a quarterly test of Clemson University's Emergency Alert Siren System. These 2 sirens (the Clemson sirens) are tested at the second Wednesday of every 3 months at 11:50 AM ET. The Oconee (Duke Power) Nuclear Station sirens (the 2001s heard in the siren ambience) are tested the same schedule as Clemson University's siren system. The Oconee nuclear plant sirens (the 2001 siren ambience) activated approximately 7 or 6 minutes early before the scheduled test (breaks the record for the earliest siren activation before scheduled test I've recorded). The Clemson sirens then activated a minute and half later after the nuclear sirens started. Thank goodness my cameras were set up already and ready to film. These 2 sirens are located in Clemson, SC next to the Clemson University's football stadium. Clemson University has a system of 2 Modulator 4016s, a Modulator 5020, and 2 2001-SRNs. The Oconee Nuclear Station has a system of 2001-SRNs and a 2001-DC.
CZcams Channel updates: I am behind on 2 siren videos from October 2020. Hoping to get them up at the ending of October 2020 or early November 2020. I got special siren videos been waiting to be upload for a long time now. I been super busy with my job and other stuff.

Wow, the Mods and 2001s compliment each other so well. Love it
Dual siren tests are always the best. Great shot honestly. Amazing video btw
That rhymes
Two sirens testing are always my favorites
Having those two things powered on at the same time next to each other sounds absolutely amazing! I can only imagine the goosebumps I'd get seeing all that myself in person. Great stuff! 👍
I have 99 questions and all of them are "why?!"
Is your question: why is there a modulator very close to a 2001DC with another siren that is very clear to hear in the distance?
I'm just gonna drop the "GO TIGERS!" comment as usual and keep it moving.
I haven't been to a Clemson game in YEARS. We used to go to every single game but then we got put in a really bad parking spot so we stopped going and now we just watch them on tv.
@@SouthCarolinaSirens Haven't been to a clemson game in 5 years myself, but that's where I was born. Gotta rep the home city.
@@Tigers9596 yes you do. I was born in Newberry county.
Whoooo!!!!
@@SouthCarolinaSirens Cleveland county here then moved to Gaston county
The fact that there are 3 sirens are awesome
more then that
Epic! Wish I wasn't over 100 miles from here or i would have been recording these tests every time. And Go Tigers!
I have been waiting for a video of both of these going off at the same time for years 😱
I live near here, the Modulator is owned by the village campus, and the 2001 is owned by the nuclear power plant nearby
This video is amazing! It kind of reminds me of that video from Puyallup a few years back - the 2001 sounds like that Whelen.
They sound sort of like fire engines coming by
Great Video, Christopher!
Nice recording man!
Those echos are awesome! Nice video!
I agree
Nice video Love it goes off together. That's what Sherman Mod and 2001-SRN goes off together which is next to each other. My town goes off at 9:00AM on every first Wednesday.
Why are there 2 sirens close to each other like that? Shouldn’t they be more spread apart
Awesome video
This eerily reminds me of Puyallup/Orting, WA’s system! Before they upgraded to all Mods doing Westminster chime, they had a mixture of Mods and 2001s that used to do attack/wail every month just like this.
They really should have kept the 2001s, and probably put up refurbished Thunderbolt 1000TTs
I like the thunderbolt 1003 and 2001 srn ambience
I like this video a lot.
Whoa that's awesome
10/10 that was amazing
Nice!
Good video
This sounds cool and scary
That voice though on the Modulator
So the mods are there for voice, and the 2001’s are there for an extended range warning?
Nice recording it’s rare to catch to sirens sounding!
@TBB747 Thats exactly what I said it’s rare
@TBB747 fuck you too, asshole
TBB747 Shut up
@@Thunderbolt_7026 what happend here

That's a good duo for sirens lol.

I love this test
BMW GAMING Same here
@@FA50PH it was a loudest test
An Epic test
The modulator in the 2001 DC or whatever is kind of is partners
I know its not, but it sounds like the modulator is saying Kansas emergency warning system
Hey, you need to catch the dutch modulator siren noise, dude! I can record it you want
I love it, too. But I like modulators and Whelens better.
y do they need 2 sirens a few yards apart?
I had coffee that morning
Why are they so close? If they need voice functionality then why not sell the 2001?
I did... it doesn’t answer that
@@charlie_nolan they're part of two different systems, the Mod belongs to the campus, and the 2001 is a nuclear plant siren.
@@onefastslimjim oh ok
So wait these are both on the same system?
The Mod Is A Campus Alert System And The 2001 Is A Nuclear Warning System
2:08 sounds like its dual toned or an eows 612
i have seen a modulator at branson
thats rare
The sirens are competing who is Louder
But this sound is a siren test
It sounds like those sirens that people use for EAS scenarios.
EAS literally means Emergency Alert System. EA means Severe weather like tornado warnings and stuff
That’s the siren in my city
Any idea as to why they’re positioned so close together?
Think the modulator’s the university siren and the 2001’s the nuclear plant siren
why do they need two so close? i mean im not complaining, it sounds great
The Oconee nuclear Station is nearby. I think that the rotating one is for the power plant and the other one is used on campus for tornado or lightning alerts.
@@BoomBoom-ud1fe I think that sounds right, there is also a 2001-Dc elsewhere on campus
@@BoomBoom-ud1fe Actually according to the vid desc they are both Clemson sirens
They have one for lightning (not heard here). The first you hear is the siren for Oconee Power (nuclear plant nearby) and the second one is tornado (maybe other severe weather just not lightning)
Not siren related but the buckeyes are gonna trample the tigers this year
I saw another siren
when te announcemeants of saying kansas bc i live i kansas
Is one of them a backup?
The mod is for clemson university, the 2001 is for a nearby nuclear power plant
0:34 screaming THIS IS A TEST OF THE CANTON EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM THIS IS ONLY A TEST into a toilet bowl
snerby & mentos
that 2001 beated the modulator
Chicago uses these signals for warnings
rip alt wail
Lol the 2001 is louder
It's a directional siren. They're generally louder than omnidirectional sirens.
@@Sipex6484 yes
All I can say here is WOWZERS!!!!
This is like a siren concert, folks, predicting our impending Armageddon and doom!! And I must admit I'm NOT a doomer and gloomer type. I try to remain positive in such regards, mainly because I'm a Christian - but I still feel like I'm bound for eternity in HELL!!
Because they're both doing wailing
And plus I saw at the perfect timing or the same time
And I think I recognize this place
The 2001 lol
Ah ha this sound is a siren test
WHY SO CLOSE!
One is owned by the nuclear power plant nearby, and one is owned by the campus
I love sirens but I'd hate to go to a university like this. Way too loud, probably disrupts studying students
As one of the students, it really isn’t an issue. First, most of the buildings are solid and it’s hard to hear the sirens inside them, as hard as that is to believe. Second, they rarely activate the sirens just for testing. So far, they’ve only tested it once this year. They’re mainly used for lightning and severe weather warnings, and they’re pretty effective.
They seem to close
@TBB747 well that makes more sense
Nice
