Seaforth, ON FS STH-10 Fire Siren Test 4/13/24

where do I start with this? Exeter fire made a post one morning about their model 2 fire siren malfunctioning and sounding multiple times (it was repaired), in the comments section of that post was many who supported the siren and a few who found it unnecessary in today's day and age (FALSE I say!) and I found a comment mentioning Seaforth and it said it was down in one comment but another comment later said it was back! so with the info I got from the fire chief 2 years ago that the pager Testing was now 12 to 12:15 pm with Owen Sound Communications and no longer 1 pm as it was with Stratford Fire Dispatch. I went to Seaforth having low confidence that it would work but 12:00 came along and Owen Sound Communications came on the air and started doing pager tests for the area of Zurich, Seaforth, and Clinton. this was a big sucess and as a bonus Owen Sound did the activation twice!.

- Siren: Federal Signal STH-10 (1970s with a Marathon motor)
- Testing: Saturdays at 12 Noon to 12:15 PM (unless Owen Sound Communications is busy)
- Today's Testing: 12:02 PM
- Other Siren Enthusiasts: None
- Siren Info: This siren was formerly out of service for about a year but was petitioned to return and it indeed did return.
- Purpose: fire siren
- Past Purpose: fire siren.
