  • The Echo PAS-2620 is a great multi-tool, and I'm so glad I was able to get one! I am very happy with my PAS-2620, and there is no doubt in my mind that you won't love it too! The tool paid for itself within the first day of use. I was using the pole saw attachment to trim trees for a client and made $400! I will be posting more lawn maintenance videos in the future. I've had an echo trimmer for about 7 years. The thing never breaks starts every year after winter storage no problem. I am still on the original spark plug. The engines in these things are bulletproof. Great products thank you for the review on the one with the attachments. Think this will be my next purchase.

    I have an Echo PAS 2620 with an edger, trimmer, and blower attachment with a hedge trimmer attachment on the way 🎉

  • @waterbourne9282
    @waterbourne9282 Před rokem +3

    I've had the Stihl Combi system for the last ten years or so to look after a few residential properties. I have the KM 94 2 Mix engine which is a 2 stroke with stratified combustion- a great engine and economical to run. It's the lightest power head of any of the manufacturers I'm aware of and very competent. Good gear but not perfect and have been considering the Echo PAS. I like the mechanical securement of the attachment with the button- the Stihl simply relies on the clamp and a ridiculous plastic key which eventually fails and allows the attachment to rotate in the socket. The Stihl has superior industrial design- I like it that everything is shrouded inside the cover so doesn't get snagged when doing work in bushes. The Echo hedge trimmer has a longer cutting bar which is better. The Stihl has a very powerful blower which I use a lot for everything from blowing out my garage, to gutters, to blowing of sanding dust when painting- it's the main reason I would stick with Stihl at the mo. Echo has a similar one but it doesn't look as powerful sadly. I also have the edger, line trimmer (the echo has the speed feeder as standard which is also attractive), pole saw, adjustable hedge trimmer, and extension. Overall the Combi is a good system which I enjoy using although I have heard a few stories about the gearboxes failing in the hedge trimmers, and then there's the 4 Mix engines which although more powerful, are heavy and have their own reliability issues. I guess in the end everything has its pluses and minuses. Good on you for having your own business and doing these videos at a young age. Having a work ethic and trying things will take you a long way. Keep at it.

      Thanks for the comment. I appreciate the feedback. It’s cool to see the differences between manufacturers and I’m glad you’ve got what seems to be a good setup. If you are considering the PAS I’d say go ahead and get yourself a 2620 because you won’t regret it.

      I'm thinking of buying the brush saw attachment, however people say that you should replace the blade with something else because the echo sawblade isn't that good. You'd think echo would put better blades on their products especially at the cost for the attachment. What is a good recommendation for a blade?

    • @joshsrcs
      @joshsrcs  Před 2 lety +1

      By far the best blade is the “Renegade” carbide tipped blade. You can find it on Amazon. It is the red one, NOT the grey one. It literally cuts through anything, and it lasts forever.

    What was incorrect in how you used the edger, also on the top above the trigger is that the safety you have to squeeze before you can pull the trigger?

    Your edging is simple, you don't have centipede grass that grows in Texas. I don't know if you were going full throttle because the powerhead on the 2620 is more torqued than the 225 and made for more commercial use than the 225 and 266. This model is comparable to the older 280 model which for reasons I believe were attachment related was discontinued. I won't deal with Sthil problems because 1. They are over priced and 2. Hard to work with. With Echo you can find parts such as air filters, gas line replacement hoses and other parts a lot easier than Sthil and for a lot less. Sthils attachments are way too expensive vrs Echo. Other than my head cracking on my 225 I really enjoyed using it but it's out of warranty so unless I want to pay out of pocket expenses to get it fixed I figure I could buy a new one for that cost. I chose the 2620 because actually it's the 2620 t straight shaft powerhead being higher torqued than its weaker predecessor the 2620 which is why they call it the Xtreme series. I'll be able to use attachments I couldn't use on my 225 like the power brush attachment and the cultivator tiller attachment which requires more power and torque than the 225 offered. The 280 pas was the only model that couldn't use the curved shaft edging attachment due to the rpm overheating the cable and now that the 2620 pas is torqued it can now use every attachment from straight to curved. The 2620 retailer at $339.00 based off Echos website but with Biden and the democrats wrecking our economy I've seen the 2620 over $450.00 and many stores who used to sell gas products are being led astray by the Bidens green deal bullshit and trying to replace gas equipment with dangerous ion charged products which when I say dangerous I really mean it especially if you live in a hot climate like Texas. They cannot handle the extreme heat and catch fire, they don't have the power and they are insanely overpriced. Not much good Rechargeable equipment does when you are being told to use less electricity because the power grids cannot handle the load. California is learning a valuable lesson that green isn't good.

    • @joshsrcs
      @joshsrcs  Před 2 lety +2

      I absolutely agree with you about all this electric crap and Biden’s (the teleprompter’s) garbage green initiative. It all started with Obama raising gas prices and now we see it with Biden. They are trying to financially force people to switch to electric. I am ok with electric equipment, but I cannot stand when it is forced upon us. People say that electric power is the solution, but explain to me how the grid is going to keep up with power demand when everybody plugs in their electric car at night! California is a joke by how they’re forcing lawn companies to have fully electric equipment by 2024. Cali needs to separate from the US along with all the other crazy leftist loonies. Thanks for the comment! SUBSCRIBE!!!

    • @ICUEverywhere
      @ICUEverywhere Před 2 lety +1

      @@joshsrcs They can't, even the inventors of these battery powered cars and equipment stated America couldn't handle that much power consumption even charging at night. I won't use Rechargeable equipment because the cost to replace the batteries are crazy expensive not to mention you have to choose the right time during the day and not get that equipment hot. Once a battery catches fire you are not going to get it out and they are extremely toxic if you breathe in the fumes. Most fire departments aren't equipped to deal with battery related fires, hell just as tesla owners who had to watch their $300.000 car burn down to a pile of metal and plastic. If they stop using gas powered equipment I'm done and so is my business. The cost to charge that equipment especially on the business I do would eat my lunch, not to mention I'm no dummy using a ticking time bomb in the hot summers especially when there are burn bans and a battery decides to pop. These Rechargeable equipment are no cleaner than gas operated and do more damage especially to other electronic devices which they do cause interference. They won't tell you they interfere with pace makers or other medical equipment because it's all about making money no matter how stupid their ideas are.

      I'm just hoping the dealer I ordered from gets my 2620 shipped out without problems. There isn't any business within driving distance that is selling the 2620 or have it in stock. People are buying up gas equipment like crazy either that or they are intentionally not restocking to push battery powered equipment. The place I ordered is in Macedonia Ohio and I'm in Texas. My 225 was purchased off ebay and I'm not going that route again because they're dishonest about products especially being new. I have to trust this business is legitimate and not some fly by night business selling refurbished or returns. I'll know right away if it's shipped without a box or is opened upon receiving it. The good news is my cousin is police chief in Macedonia so if this order turns out bad I will make a call.
