- I have never had the opportunity to remove the body off a truck before. When this thought came around I was excited. It is going to allow us to have so much more accessible for creating the cross member, running the exhaust, and dealing with anything else that is under the truck.
While the body was off it was an excellent time to clean up some grinding spots that were not accessible while the body was on. We also removed the 2wd power steering box and the 4wd version uses a different bracket.

That frame spot near the fuel tank is a well know place to rust in this Hilux gen. Mud and dirt get's trapped there, leading to rust. I would advice to prevent that, use some mud inner fender liner, of mod the fuel tank, replacing the horizontal middle lip, to a vertical lip, to widen the gap from the fuel tank to the frame.
I'll make sure to clean it out

I have a 1990 for toyota to arrive truck and I’m thinking about making a four-wheel-drive but it’s already got 2 inch lift kit on it to factory
That should matter if anything it might help, but you will still need to get a front diff set up

What year truck are the parts for the swap coming from? Trans, engine, t case?
Its the original engine from the vehicle, the Transmission is from a 1994 4Runner, and I am not sure about the second Tcase.
How long have you been working on this? How much money invested?
The project has been a few years in the making. And I'm hoping not to spend over $5k
