    Did you give enough power to E80? It's a high impedance IEM, designed to work with a DAC( amp) . High impedence helps it create a very wide soundstage. It has a pretty neutral sound, which is what audiophiles prefer. It's not an IEM for people who prefer artificially bass boosted sound over natural sound. E80 tries to recreate the sound as it was recorded without manipulating bass as most of the entry level headphones do.
    Use it with a lossless music player and have fun!! You would need to download lossless music. This is the best entry level audiophile IEM in this price range.

    I HV both e10 and e80 , and I prefer e80 for the cleaner sound. e10 have very intimate soundstage with lots of bass. while e80 have wider soundstage and balanced sound. the difference in sound initially feel very less , but as we listen more will spot difference easily I feel.

      Actually i own e11c sound quality is ok but bass is not that great

    These are high impedance (64 ohms) so they require a good amp to drive them, using them with most phones, they will end up sounding anemic. That's why soundmagic calls them audiophile iems you need some gear to drive them.

      Thank you finally someone who understands the importance of driving a high ohm pair of IEMs. 64 ohms on non DAC non Amp smartphone does not cut it go get the E10s for that but if you got the power and balls to drive these babies get the E80 for sure!!

    I've had my E10s for about 2 years and fuck they're great - just weird if you're watching films and that but for music, they're golden. For someone who breaks Phillip in-ear headphones a lot, they're pretty durable to me. No problem whatsoever but I lost them recently and I can't decide which to get next.
    I'm looking to upgrade but don't really have a big budget - I wonder if I should get the same one. Ugh

  • @HaseoXth

    People always rave about the E10. For me they were not great at all. The E30 were so much better and a lot more balanced! Not very durable but better in almost every way! E30s are fantastic!

      @@madrafboy ayo compadre! Don't do it! I've had about 7 pairs of e30s and a lot of heartbreak due to cables and soundmagic ditching the series! Do not buy earphones unless you can swap cables Lol. If you have a decent amp check out the moondrop SSP! They're inexpensive iems, that sound incredible but require a bit of power to drive at high volume :)

    i got the e80s, probably wouldn't have went for it expect I had some credit card points to burn which reduced the price by $20 so I figured why not?.. they are really nice and sound so good but I also noticed the lack of bass.. one thing I dont understand it the build quality is nice everywhere except on the android or apple switch.. that part its made out of crappy looking molded plastic but, I get nice anodized aluminum on every other part of it.. it certainly doesnt take too much away from the earbuds themselves.. which are the fanciest I've ever had. I feel like I dont need to get anything better. soundmagic did a good job with these earbuds..

  • @theTerribleFamiliar
    @theTerribleFamiliar Před 7 lety +2

    Doesn't sound like you understand the design of the E80s. They are a more balanced headphone. Not much of a V here. After burning them in, I found the sparkles of the highs, clarity of the mids, and punchy bass excellent. These sound better than my $300 pair of Sure reference IEM phones from 7 years ago.

      theTerribleFamiliar which device you use to drive the e80? I am using an one plus 3t should I buy them because the impedance is too high at 60ohms . so I am leaning towards buying the e10 but I also want a near flat sound.

    • @theTerribleFamiliar
      @theTerribleFamiliar Před 7 lety

      If you want a flat response, I don't think you can beat the E80s for the MSRP price. I have a number of different devices in my home studio where I use the E80s for a quick reference. When I take them out around town, I'm using this www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A8NU5CG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Good luck in your search!
