My favorite part of Tactic’s reviews is always the historical overview, and this one is no exception. But that summary of commander skills sure gave it a run for its money this time around. :-) Great video!

Thanks, Glynn! Somehow I neglected to say that you don't have to shoot things just because you can, but you can probably sneak up on folks.
It does seem if you went fully secondaries, once a commander is out, with a concealment in the 3rd mod slot, you get the two close together so that there would be like a 0.8km gap. Not the most optimal way to play, but it does seem like the funnest. Similar to higher tier German BCs.

Anyways, I am definitely intrigued by this boat (another fine addition to the "Weird Bote Emporium"), but between price and lack of focus on the commander... its gonna have to wait. Though when she DOES get access to some nice secondary build skills, I get the feeling this thing is gonna be a whole new level of hilarious...
Saucy indeed! Possibly sauced. I was having a good time with this one, even if it is like... please don't buy this ship for now. I could really see liking it with the right commander though.

Even if it is pricey for a ship, I might shell out the money for it down the line if a sale comes up. It would be for the secondaries of course, but since there is not a brawling BB captain out at the moment, it is a no for me. Good overview Tactic.
Yeah, at least down the line, you'll have a better idea of what exactly you're getting out of this... I do hope it is a brawling commander though.
Love this boat, lots of sinking destroyers I never even saw. It's a different ship today, I'm running with 5 heals and 11.9 secondary range. Playing it patient pays off huge for this boat, hard to kill you and you're terrifying the destroyers if you're within 12km of the Cap points. Fun stuff

Not sure I’m following with regards to the secondaries. Secondary hits penalize your XP?
Ok... well, overall it's important to understand that the way that XP is calculated is a many-layered cake and the exact recipe of that cake is a more closely guarded secret than the special sauce at any restaurant you've ever been to. This is apparently because they don't want people exploiting the system, and to that end, I think it's at least possible that anyone you might think to ask probably doesn't know precisely how the equation works. It's also possible that it's just too complicated to articulate it intelligently.
So here goes...
All ships are worth some amount of XP and all ships of the same tier are worth the same amount of XP. You earn a portion of that ship's XP by dealing damage to it, and whether you do that damage with bombs, shells, or torpedoes, you earn the same amount. . . except with secondaries. Some portion of the XP you would have earned is just thrown out. As far as I am aware, WG has never stated the actual percentage. That is likely because it is on a sliding scale. Whatever the percentage though, it is more noticeable at higher tiers, in my experience. That may be because the penalty is higher at higher tier or ships with truly incredible range only exist at high tiers.
That said, WoWS: PC recently announced the removal of this penalty. As far as I am aware, there are no plans to do that in Legends.

I actually purchased this and it is “fun” even now despite the lack of a real commander for it. It will only come to its right when we get a real secondaries-focused commander. It is weird and actually not a very good look for WG to release it without said commander.

in wows blitz it is deadly
There are 2 big drawbacks with Atlantico in wows, 1 of which will also affect her in Legends, she is slow compared to most she will face. Max speed of 25 knots is faster than the US ships only.
She is also lacking in anti-submarine capability for wows gameplay which has no impact in wowsl.
Hopefully we never need to worry about those ASW concerns.
@@tacticangel they also said there would never be subs in wows yet there are now.
on pc Atlantico can secondary brawl very well with the same guns, we have a captain skill that extends the range of the secondaries to 10 km. If you get her into secondary range her main guns are railguns and she truly punches hard.
Pray your extra captain is one that gives you great secondaries and cuts main gun reload then take Atlantico in for brawling up close and personal, it's awesome how many secondary marksman medals she earns even without manual secondaries opted for in the captain's skills.
Hey there old friend. I have been a subscriber for over 3 years. I wanted to ask if you are interested in the below. As a top streamer, perhaps this might benefit Wounded Warrior, our dear lost friend, as well as the Warships Community. I could even see some cool advertising if Tactic Angel might Livestream a round or some such. Here goes (it's long and I am sorry)
Proof of Concept:
Ethan Obenaur, AKA RebelShadow, 21 year old Air Force vet, died in February in an accident. He was a veteran Warships player, an awesome young man, and a member of our clan. His family prefers any remembrances and/or donations be related to Wounded Warrior. We are proposing to have a World of Warships Legends Tournament, in honor of veterans as well as Ethan. Here are some high level details, to be discussed to unlock details:
Highlights:
1) The tournament is to have 64 teams (minimum), with entry fees moderate (say $10 each or $30 per team), with all proceeds going to Wounded Warrior in Ethan's name.
2) Ideally the tournament could be held on dev servers, but if that is not possible, to be held in and around the Arena Season. If during the Arena season, 2 rounds each Arena season with 2 days to complete. 3x2 = 6 games, with fits a 64 team bracket. Single elimination, 2/3 matches with verification process to be defined. IF we could use dev servers, then we could go to 128.
3) We engage streamers such as VI Hipper, Jankenomics, Ghost Games, AAron, TacticAngel, SpartanElite, etc. showcasing the games on CZcams or Twitch as appropriate.
4) We use a Wounded Warrior link for donations in Ethan's name, to enhance the donations for non-playing teams.
5) A few big donors are set to match any and all donations by members, to greatly increase the donations to Wounded Warrior.
6) We talk to Legends and see if they are willing to put up some cool prizes for the winners (i.e. JB Black, Cool Camos, etc.)
7) Streamers advertise, and push the game, the tournament, the cause of Wounded Warriors, as well as Ethan RebelShadow.
8) We as veterans and contributors to World of Warships legends, come together in a common cause and celebrate the cause of Veterans as well as a game that we enjoy.
Requirements:
1) High Profile Streamers and Top Teams get involved to promote the tournament and the cause of Wounded Warrior.
2) Everyone (Warfare At Seas as well as friends) pushes the message out to the community and crowd source marketing.
3) Wargaming supports with some combination of Dev Server, Prizes, and perhaps even sanction the tournament as a cause celebre.
4) Wounded Warrior helps us out with a trusted organizational structure (link and collection portal) upon which to ensure that people know that the Cause is legit, secure, and guaranteed to go to veterans.
5) Someone runs the tournament, and ensures that the rules are clearly understood, and everyone trusts the tournament process.
6) I might even get a US Congressman, former Green Beret, to help us out and do a recording for Ethan's parents, as well as the community.

Hey, sorry for the delayed response. This is something that I shared with the other CCs to see if there was something we could do to support this. It's a bit like herding cats, but Aaron shared that you have an updated plan for this. Did you have a URL for the best place for people to go to support your new idea? (I assume it is still on for this coming weekend). I doubt I will participate in the actual competition, but I will probably try to make a donation as part of the drive.
