What have they done?
Knicks are actually a decent team this year. They blew last night's game, making mistakes on every position down the stretch, but they actually have a shot at finishing 8th this season. If they sign Golbert in the off-season next year, they could be dangerous (not a contender but not a bottom feeder either).

Really shows you how great the Nets' front office is. They were in a worse position than the awfully run Knicks and managed to be better in the same time frame with less assets. I'm glad the Knicks got a front office overhaul this offseason.

Sean Marks is an underrated GM. It helps that most of his draft picks worked well. Not to mention his cap management resulted into KD and Kyrie signing.

What makes this trade interesting is that brooklyn makes themselves even more of a top destination for star players to go to either via free agency or trade

It’s kinda funny how similar the new situation is to that old trade situation. Nets hired an unproven coach who was an elite level point guard then traded a huge number of picks and monetary flexibility for 3 stars with various questions about the team working.
Many of the nets fans would still rather have 2018-19 nets, the peak of those teams. with its heart and soul. The way they played putting all they had on the floor, Still remember that win over Sacramento, i got up at 4am every home game to watch them play and was screaming my lungs out when watching that clumsy drive to the rim. Contending for a chip is of course the main goal and it looks like this bond is the price to pay for it. @@enerioedward5487 Yeah, that's the main concern. How will Kyrie and Harden play together? It CAN work, but I think their egos won't let it. Harden could be the main facilitator, Kyrie plays off ball and KD is the go to option, but Harden is gonna want iso touches, and Kyrie is gonna dribble the air out of the ball when he gets it.

For me it all depends on Kyrie, KD and Harden have been consistently great (injury for KD aside) while Irving has looked like a problem apart from lebron and usually unravels, specially now with the bad pr he is giving to the team. For me to have this be a complete roster and not totally destroy this team future (although it is worth something if they get their first championship) they need to recoup something for the guy that right now just feels expendable

I was a nets fan bk in 2015 and was always laugh at because i was a nets fan, I'm glad all this bad times has past by and we look like we can win the 2020 or 2021 championship but sad to see my favorite player jarrett allen get traded that really sucks, wish it was DJ.

Billy King attached an unprotected 2012 1st rd pick to acquire Gerald Wallace. One of the media members asked King why didn’t he put any protection on it and King bascially said the 2012 NBA draft is a “three player draft”...That pick turned into Dame Dolla Lillard, then King made the same mistake by not adding protection to those future picks sent to the Celtics for KG, PP, and JET SMH. I’m surprised that the Celtics yet haven’t build a Billy King memorial statue in front of the TD Garden yet.

Unpopular opinion/hot take: Nets didn’t really get anything “back” since the Celtics still have a great duo under 25 that can be title-contenders for many years to come while the Nets only have a two year window to win anything before things start to fall apart.

As a Nets fan, I feel like we are more than capable of winning it all. Sure we gave away a great rebounder and defender in Jarrett Allen, but all we have to do is sign another great defensive rebounder and we'll be tough enough to compete with the Lakers in the finals and finally get our revenge for what happened in 2002.
