The number 1 carry job is....
Everybody’s my career player!
On gawd
Ayo get Che!
Fax like why are your teammates so trash
Truth!!!
I joined the suns for Devin Booker (and those 90s jerseys). but Devin went averaging 30 PPG to 22 PPG. DAFUQ???!!!
even though they lost Dwight Howard carried the magic to the finals at only 23 man was a monster
Dwight had rashard and hedo. Anyway lakers kicked their asses in the finals.
Ömer Yeşil I know but i’m saying the path their he carried them past celtics and cavs
I think his team helped him out for sure. Especially during the Cavs series. With those 3’s
mick romney either man took over at just 23 years old, love the NBA insight you got boss would love you input on our channel!
Turkoglu carried that team, Dwight still has no offense to this day and his def has slipped due to injuries
I wanna give an honorable mention to Allen Iverson in 2001, no the Sixers didnt win the Finals, but the journey there was very tough.
Not really, raptors only had 1 all star soft Vince Carter
If we give AI 01 a nod, we must give lebron 2018 a nod
offwhite jay agreed i think lebron in 2018 could be the best player ever he did everything he possibly could
Unique Bartee ehhh he really fell off on defense his last few years in Cleveland tbh and while yes he was carrying the team that is no excuse for not trying on defense Kobe/MJ were getting 1st team all defense throughout career and this is coming from a Lebron fan
AI in 2001 was definitely the best possible honorable mention considering the fact that no player on his team even deserved to be in the playoffs to begin with. None of those players should have even been on the court let alone the playoffs. Allen Iverson in the best player to never win a championship.
People always think that Duncan had tons of help in all of his championships, yet his best players in 2003 were Stephen Jackson and very old David Robinson.
Stephen Jackson was a great player throughout his career and parker was on the team but very inconsistent and manu was young too.
@@patriciahandy7905 none of those 3 were on the first championship team though.
i think its more about the knowledge he was given by robinson
Red Rum 1999* u mean
in 2003, stak was 25 years old, in his prime. And manu and Tony played for that team.
The only one I disagree with is Kawhi. You are straight up disrespecting Lowry, Pascal, VanVleet, Ibaka, and Gasol. Kawhi certainly didn't carry that team, especially not in the Finals.
See lebron in 2018? That’s a carry job. Look at what happen to the cavs the next year? If kawhi carried the raptors. Then why is he and the clippers looking up at the raptors in the standings?
He carried them in the Magics, Sixers, and Bucks series I’m guessing you fools didn’t watch the raptors in the playoffs until the finals I watched that entire run especially against the sixers it was like it was 1 vs 5 out there and the bucks and sixers that year was far better than any team LeBron faced in the east in the 2018 playoffs you haters you need to put some respect on Kawhi name he carried the raptors to the finals and then they returned the favor by stepping up in the finals
@@semionjohnson1351
1- no comment about carrying them against the freakin orlando magic
2- against the sixers siakam played great and gasol held embiid to 17 points 9 rebounds on 37% shooting. Kawhi was the best player on the floor but to call that a carry job is utterly insane.
3- against the bucks Lowry pretty much had 20 5 and 5 on 70ts% which is nuts, vanvleet was in heat check mode, and the siakam ibaka gasol trio was as always rock solid on defense.
4- add all that to the finals when all five of them played lights out (even danny green played good d and hit some clutch shots) AND the fact that they've seen almost no drop off after kawhi left, and it's pretty obvious as to why you can call it an historic playoff run by him, but certainly not a carry job.
@@oliviercolletaz5841 Keep throwing those facts, especially on Gasol-Embiid, dispelling those Kawhi bandwagoners disrespecting that scary Raptors team (at the rate it's going, not even the Clippers will be another stacked and deep/complete that he joined).

Glen Rice was lights out in 2000 Finals with a 63% 3pt
Glen Rice was an underrated 3 PT shooter of the 90s. Mainly because he played for the Hornets. But I loved watching him play.
He averaged about 16 ppg in the regular season and just over 11 in the Finals. Hardly "lights out", Shaq's domination pretty much meant the rest of the team were all deployed as role players for the series.
@@tigull 63% 3pt isn't lights out?

@@doccholo905 Rice lead the league in 3 pt FG percentage during the '97 season while averaging 26.8 points per game. He was ridiculous that year. It's amazing he was able to lead the league in 3 pt FG percentage considering he was the number 1 option on the Hornets.
Hakeem's 1994 playoff-run is much more impressive. He had 0 All-Star teammates.
Yes he was, but the 95 playoffs was a lot harder, he beat Malone's Jazz, Charles's Suns, Robinson's Spurs and Shaq's Magic, this was the most difficult run of all time.

I'm a massive Lebron fan but it was nice to see Dirk win in 2011. After losing to the "We Believe" Warriors, from there on out he was seen a choker, before that he was up there with the best PFs in the game like Duncan, Garnett etc. He comes across as such a nice, likeable guy, that run he went on in 2011, beating Kobe the defending champion in the process, solidified him as a great.
If “Personal Vendetta” was a person, they carried Michael Jordan through life.
XD
Honorable mention : A. I. carrying 76ers to the finals
Good run
If they won that series against the Lakers then Allen Iverson would be #1..
No one carried a team like peak-Hakeem!
2007 and 2018 LeBron says high
Elijah Ruderman
They got swept
Elijah Ruderman got swept both times and Hakeem actually had competion to get to the finals
Sports Guy Hakeem also didn’t have injured teammates, and had multiple teammates who were better than role players, and also only did it one time in his career. Lebron has done it an astonishing 3 times when you add 2015, and yes he’s losing but he’s putting up absolutely inhumane Numbers, and making the players around him better. No player is a better floor raiser than Lebron, that’s the fax.

The reason Kobe played poorly in the 00 Finals was because Jalen Rose purposely injured him. And Kobe actually led the Lakers to an overtime win in game 4 after Shaq fouled out.

Ethan Ennis hes stupid Jordan didn’t carry and Me Me ur even more stupid because efficiency isn’t everything Jordan was the leader and Pippen was the Robin and it was a team effort you imbecile
Nope the best Jordan was 88....
I still hate people who undermine Jordan's teammates and pretend they don't even exist
Jordan's great no doubt, but guys like Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, Grant, etc. are anything but scrubs
Are you sure? Pipen had almost the same scoring avg as the Tony (around 15). Scoring wise Jordan carried them for sure. Especially against Utah. Pipen was injured and couldn't contribute significantly for a couple of games.
Dirk's 2011 championship was the best championship in recent history. When they annihilated Lakers, I knew that they're going to win the Title.
After 3-1 and Hakeem pulling an original Lebron but also winning the championship.
That greatest Mavs team of all-time was unstoppable that year.

Kawhi was only one who was consistent, every game someone else delivered but Kawhi delivered every game
@@michaelandre6157 That's not what "Carry Job" means tho! Carry job would be LeBron on the 2007 Cavs team where carrying a bunch of scrubs to the NBA finals. While LeBron did not win the championship, he carried the following players to the Finals: Shannon Brown, Drew Gooden, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Sasha Pavlović and Anderson Varejão. The Raptors needed Kawhi to win certain games like Game 7 against the 76ers, but Kawhi also doesn't win if his teammates didn't step up like Pascal and Kyle and Vanfleet. Raptors didn't get "carried" as hard as this video implies!
He only carried them against Philly. His teammates showed up against everyone else.
Nah bro. Kawhi carried. They wouldn’t even of won the title if Kawhi landed that shot.

Another fine video, Mr. Hoops.
I feel like Duncan should be #1 his second leading scorer (sophomore tony Parker) averaged only 15 PPG for the season and with that team knocked out the lakers no one was able to beat the lakers the past few years
I think it needs to be stated that Hakeem won pretty much every award in 1994 and a championship. He bagged MVP, FMVP, DPOY, and a Championship in the same season. It's unreal how much of an unstoppable force of nature he was in those two years.

kobe's worst finals was actually in 2004.
CLOROX BLEACH kobe averaged 22 ppg on 38% and basically shot the lakers out the finals, while in 2000 he did only average 15 ppg, it was mostly because he got injured by jalen rose and had to sit out a game, but in game 4 with a very bad ankle he kept the lakers on top when shaq fouled out and put up 28 pts, and put up three crucial buckets to win the game

2003 Tim Duncan run is the greatest individual run in nba history. Duncan don’t get his respect man, I don’t understand.

He got his respect at #3. Thing is though, 2003 Spurs were the favorites every series while Dirk & Hakeem were lower seeds & just had better competition in their runs doing the same thing.

slimypickle19 Hakeem also has Clyde dropping 20-25 PPG along with great role players stepping up too. I think his “carry” job is a bit of a reach. Now dirk in 2011 was incredible, def can argue it being #1
LeBron in the 2007 playoffs. The degree of difficulty at age 22 and what he pulls off to get that Cavs team into the championship series is unreal.
How good was Robert Parish a solid center in his prime with the Celtics in the 80s.
I remembered the Spurs during the 2000's. They were not known for their ball movement and passing but they were very scary defensively.
Great list Andy, i'm agreed with you in the top 3. It's fair to say even if they "carried" their teams, every team was extremely good and deep in most of them. The other main pieces just performed vey low when the team need them, so the first piece came out and took over. In the case of TD, Dirk and Hakeem, they have very good and veteran teammates, but not enough greats to be part of the key pieces, as the other 7 players in your top 10.
Mavs 11 was the best and most satisfying ring. Dirk was godly. His guards were always foul trouble. Still remember that championship run ❤️
Bro Kobe was injured, put some respect on his name. Don’t forget that he clinched the series in overtime, when Shaq fouled out come on man.
Not to mention Kobe wasn't even in his prime...Kobe was a respected and dangerous scorer too...If Kobe wasn't in the floor Shaq numbers would be way down
I don't think it matters why Shaq had to carry that team. This is no disrespect against Kobe. It is, what it is.
In all other teams you can find a reason. It was not Robinson's, Kidd's etc fault that they were old, or Kobe's fault that he was injured. Someone haf ti step up and that someone did it big time.
All right , an early Andy hoops video !!!! Dem trumpets
Dude stop it please it's so old
My Mavs boys did their thing in 2011!!
Great video these guys were not only All Stars they are WINNERS
I think I would have Jordan higher the number 5 considering it was a record-setting finals for him. Then againgoing back and watching a series and watching it as it happened or two different things. I was 12 in 1992, so I was old enough to not be some little kid that didn't really understand what he was watching. All I can say is, watching him live was really something special. It was the same thing watching Wayne Gretzky live. You just knew you were witnessing something special. Or you are witnessing history being made. I got that feeling every time I watched MJ.
Frank Napolitano that’s why he’s the goat, it was expected and it was delivered
So now your 40 woah I’m only 12

The 94/95 Rockets championship run was amazing considering that they were the 6th seed in a competitive Western conference.
Seriously, when was the last time you heard of a lower seeded team going all the way to the Finals and actually won?
That should be something you should consider in your next video, Andy (as a mere suggestion).

I know his team didn’t win but Iverson carried that 76ers squad to the finals in 2001. And they were a great team that got multiple awards. But AI was the entire offence. It was so memorable. I remember after watching that season, I understood that one guy can’t carry a team to a title without some kinda help.
Too much credit for Kawhi, he & Raptors advanced to finals without LeBron in the East, who Derozan & Raptors always stopped by
And even the finals... Warriors without KD & Klay... That was big different level of finals😅

Yeah plus Kobe was great during all other 3 playoff series. Heck without his game 7 west finals 4th quarter, the lakers are eliminated. Shaq sucked ass that game
Hey Andy, yes Kobe may had his lowest scoring output in 2000 finals but sometimes numbers don’t tell the whole story. Game 3 Kobe didn’t play because of a severely sprained ankle and game 4 he came back and took over in overtime while Shaq fouled out. This is one of the games that made Kobe career. Nice list bruh
I'm surprised that LeBron in 2018 isn't on this list. I know he didn't win the championship, but just managing to get there required just about every ounce of strength he had. Not to mention that legendary game one performance that ended with JR being, well, JR. As someone who watched every game, the Cavs would have lost by a large margin every game they played if LeBron didn't play phenomenally.
2018 ECF:
Rookie Jason Tatum ( age 19 ) vs Lebron James.
Still needed 7 games to beat the Celtics.
The ref carried the heat as much as Wade did, even a bit more than him.
The refs didnt carry the heat lol no one in the mavs can't defend him plus the amount of fouls each team had was closer than you think
Biggggg fucckinnnnnn facts even when LeBron came to town
Thats exactly wat i was saying lol without the refs dirk has 2 rings maybe more who knows who wouldve wanted to play with him if they won in 06
@@ericclapton1908 whut? Dirk was a choker pre 2011 he choked a free throw in 1 game where they could've gone up 3-0 and he shot poorly that series lol the refs didn't help the heat
@@winter9242 lol anybody with eyes saw the refs def help the heat we were up 2 games to none and we were draggin them! dirk aint jordan or anything but he aint no choke either not even close 2011 def proved that! I know he had a few disappointments and all but completely choke? Nah thats not in his repertoire homie hes basically been by himself as far as playin with other allstars go and he still went twice and won 1 in one of the MOST difficult finals run in history!
andy should have at least a mil subscribers
Impressive list.
As a Mavs fan I have Dunacn in 2003 the as biggest carry job. You forgot to mention Dunacn had no players that scored 10ppg with 40% from the field.
I have Dirk 2nd becuase though his team was weak they all were good for their specific roles and the fit was good. Dirk dominated but Dunacn carried a terrible team with no fit.
Hakeem was an ok first choice but I would put him maybe 3rd.
2018 Lebron. Despite him getting swept in the finals, he was literally a one man show throughout the main season and playoffs
Facts of course, but I think he just considered the mere wins, which is fine.
He was probably only focusing on wins and he didn’t play a lot of comp to get there
@Noah Da Silva they only consider him a star when they need someone to blame for LeBrick's failures lol
@Noah Da Silva the question isn't who, but where. Where did he go? He disappeared like Houdini.
@@dr.murder2690 bro i ain't even a bron fan but don't sit up and act like Kevin love was swishing them bitches. All you heard when Kevin love shot the ball was a big ass clang. He was practically a ghost other than solid rebounding(which is good).
First 3 can be interchangeable in my opinion but the difference between the first 3 and the rest is incredible
It's crazy What Hakeem went thru to win that Finals..Prime Malone, Barkley, and ,Robinson, then Young Diesel
Man even tho they didn’t win a championship AI and Young Lebron had the biggest Carry jobs EVER
Teej Davenport no 2018 LeBrons team was so much worse than young LeBrons
LeBron in 07 beat 2 teams that were under .500 and was horrible in the finals
2018 LeBron is BY FAR the best carry job ever and even ‘03 Duncan, which is the second greatest carry job, isn’t on that level in terms of carrying. Both young LeBron and A.I had amazing defenses, while The 2018 Cavs had the 2nd worst defense in the NBA.
FoH, that 07 Cavs squad had a bunch of shooters and 3 and D players
Tim Duncan. The greatest Pf and The best player from the 2000s Era
Shaq was definitely huge for Miami in 06. Don't win the finals without Wade, but don't get there without the big guy
I idolized David Robinson, but that run by Hakeem Olajuwon really was next level. Those 2 championship years he was THE 2 way centre
Although they didn’t win the 2007 Cavs got carried by LeBron
Nah he was horrible in the finals
If they didn’t have LeBron though they would’ve been one of if not the worst team in the NBA that year
That's when he realized he can't carry a team and needs super teammates. He started recruiting in the 2008 Olympics. 🤣
Dirk and Hakeem are in a league of their own when it comes to the way they carried their teams
They both had without doubt the 1 and 2 runs of teams they had to beat
Funny because Hakeem is getting his recognition 20 years later Back then everybody was talking about shaq in MJ and Penny Good to see him getting his do
Those 2003 Tim Duncan stats were insane.
