Its pretty fun! I usually do it more when I'm offroad just because if I get on the highway its basically impossible to have a conversation with the doors and top off haha.

This is great. Just bought a 2016 Wrangler Utility and was hoping I could take the doors off. I checked the glove box and boom, where was the pouch with all the tools I need.

Clear and concise instructions. I watched one of these door removal videos before and they had mounts on their garage wall and the door pins slipped into them and that held the doors safely mounted to their wall. Thought that was a amazing idea. If I ever do get a jeep I’d definitely look into getting some of them.
Every few years I get on a kick of really wanting a wrangler. Just seems like such a fun toy.
They're super fun. I personally am not super into offroading just a bit. But I am super into the open air vehicles like a Wrangler and I'm kinda intrigued by the new Broncos. But from the YJ my dad ran to the JKU we both ran to my own JLU they are the most fun vehicles ever. The JK's are cool but if you want to drop the windshield I'd definitely recommend new new like JL or JLU new. They're only 4 bolts on the header and the wipers. The jks were 6 body peices and 24 bolts. The complete open air is fun but it takes like 15 minutes for it. If your new to them I'd recommend a JL. I got a 2020 Willy S 4 door. Also I'd check into something called top lift pro, its a very nice lift you can use to remove the hardtop alone. I definitely recommend hardtop as its alot more secure
Dude, I just got one. I'd wanted one forever too but couldn't afford it ;) Finally next-leveled my career and got a Rubicon 2-door. "Sarge green" which looks very appropriate on it. ZERO regrets. It's so much fun, so much you can do with it. Put on the hard top and it's just a solid SUV. Get it naked and it's a totally different rig. I've gotten a little bit into offroading and will do more - that "go anywhere" feeling is addictive. On top of everything it just looks cool...I feel like such a badass driving it lol.

Great vid. Could you do a video taking the back off? I have a 2 door JL and would like to see the process of taking the back off
...and if you do, can you give us the rear cargo dimensions (back seat removed) for those of us looking to camp out of it. I did over 5,000mi camping off my WR250R for a month, now I want to be able to travel that way with my wife in a 2 door Jeep :)

That’s the factory alpine audio system. And it’s actually not over the spare tire since the spare tire is on the outside of the Jeep.

Just got a 2020 Wrangler 2 door 2 weeks ago. I immediately made a ratchet hoist for the hardtop so I could take it off and on by myself....works great! Taking the doors OFF was easy but being a short girl I could not get the doors back on! I finally decided to use one of the ratchets looped around the top of the door so it would not fall completely if I lost it. Then lifted the door onto a jack stand to help take some of the weight. I was able to line up the pins and drop right in. It works but a long process....would you have any other suggestions?
Use a sturdy step stool next to the Jeep to get the extra 6 inches of height needed to get above the hinges.
Ever drop your windshield? So much more easier than jk. I only did it a few times on the jk not bad but not great
Hey the guy at my dealer said you can remove the panel between the hood and the door and reattach the mirrors so you can see behind you when the doors are off! 🙂

Hey Dakota! Great vids. Do you legally need door side mirrors ? I do know you can get aftermarket mirrors that attach to the door hinges. It’s law in my town.
Ken Black I think legally I’m supposed to have them....I think. But I’ve yet to have any issues and no body else has them on either so I think I’m ok 😂

From what I've read and heard from other Wrangler owners in life, at off road sites and online forums, and also cops I know - it's really not an issue. Cops practically never pull you over just for this. If they do, it's boredom and they'd probably get you for something else anyway. Many don't even know the laws about these. I bough the mopar doors off mirror kit but I've never even put it on bc I seriously don't see how it won't scuff the paint. I'm on the KS/MO border and you technically need a drivers side mirror in KS but MO doesn't care - but again, never been pulled over for it in KS.

How much do the doors weigh?
If the windows were frame less there would be no reason for the average user to remove the doors. Hopefully there are aftermarket doors with frame less windows to purchase and use it without a top all the time.
Jeep should have made this easier, pretty involved when comparing to any older Jeep.
I hope the new bronco doors come off easier !

That’s actually how it comes from the factory with the upgraded alpine sound system.
Do they have soft full doors for the two door
I’m sure there are some after market ones but I haven’t done much research into those.

After took my doors off my doors now have sound coming out how about yours ?
G Styles Mine don’t make a noise but I’ve heard of that. Usually you can just add some grease/lube to the bolts/screws and that usually fixes it.

Don't forget, folks...some states require a driver side mirror to be mounted even when your doors are off.
Say “mounted” again.
What about the mirrors?
No way to reattach mirrors from the factory. If you want mirrors with the doors off then you’ll have to buy some aftermarket ones.

Wait a minute, you remove the screws from the outside? Would that make it a lot easier for anyone to steal your doors and get into your car? WTF!
You have to do the rest of the process before the doors come off. Just taking off the screws on the outside alone won’t let you take the doors off
You know when you're 5' 2" and lifting that door is a struggle.
I was just wondering about this, I am 5'1 and I don't have a lot of upper body strength, kinda scared to lift off my doors. I heard the JL doors are lighter now but I don't know the difference in weight since I've never felt how heavy they are period.
