Thanks for the video Iam getting ready to do my cables in my doors on my ranger both doors won't open the cables are stretched out on both doors on my truck and for both door the cables and the door lashes is going to be abt 300 dollars

I enjoyed your video, but I don’t think you ever left the camera pointed at anything for long enough to see what you were doing. It was more of a running commentary while the camera jittered and flitted all over the place. Kind of a I did this but I’m not showing you, so figure it out yourself if you ever have to do one approach.

Sure,I got both parts at the local dealer,nobody else will have them.I don't have the part numbers they were fed ex to me from that dealer,but that doesn't matter,just call or go in to your local Ford dealer and they should be able to order them for you,now the cable end repair kit I got you can get anywhere it's Dorman number 926-111

If my cables are stretched could I still use the rapair kit? Or do I need new cables?
Try the repair kit first,if your cables aren’t broke on the other ends it should work.
can't open my rear door because both cables pulled out of latches. Was able to remove door panel and upper latch from inside but no way to get to the bottom latch with the door closed. Cannot access the bottom latch bolts with door closed
There is two ways you can do this,pull the bottom cable from the outside latch,just the cable pull the inside toward you,if you can't and are replacing the bottom cable anyway while you are in the panel cut the bottom cable where you can reach it and pull the inside toward's you,this should release the latch.
@@timzauto guess you misunderstood my comment there is no cable going to the bottom latch it came completely out. There is no way to access the bottom latch with the door closed like you can the top latch. And there is no opening big enough to access the latch. There was no cable on the top latch either but i could access the bolts from the top latch after getting panel off. Im going to have to force the door open and break the spring in the bottom latch to open it as ive already removed the top latch
@@dzorba1 ok,I understand now,your cable is broke at the other side where the bottom latch is,I guess I would try and see if I could trip the latch from the inside panel,it's hard to see and to get to on the bottom though,good luck.

I know to use SS 3/16 pop rivets but not sure on the grip size of the pop rivet, can anyone help me out
It's easy to find out,I have a bag of rivets and I just match up the size of the hole in the truck and pop it in.
@@timzauto Thanks for your reply but I don't have a bags of pop rivets laying around to do that. You can buy 3/16 pop rivets with a grip size from 1/8th of inch to a inch

Take the latch off the door and pull both cables at the same time,I had to drill out the old rivets with the old one then I pulled on the cables without using the handle.
This video is a waste of time!!!
