Nice video. I once had the 97 version of this truck. I now regret selling it when the transmission failed. I'm looking at building a truck camper like your buddy CrazyQuady... Would you recommend this generation F150 as old as they are now?
@@davidwingate7535 I would say that depends on what you are able to find milage and condition wise. My pickup is starting to get kinda rusty under the doors, wheelwells,box. It has been a decent pickup but keep in mind with the age things are starting to wear out. Good luck with your adventure!
Great video. Glad I did not just buy the cables. Looks like you can't get the little ball on the top latch to come out or go back in. Wonder why they sell them!

I fixed mine a couple of months ago and I added the new retainer all 4 but this month it the door locked again on the left door .
Same side you fixed or the otherside?

How easy was it to push the new clips into the metal grooves for them to hold in place ? I’m having a super hard time getting mine in
From what I remember, the new aluminum pieces went into the groove fairly easy. Have you checked the grooves for burs or anything in the way? If everything looks good I would say the parts are not within specs and you might need to take them back and get a different kit. Hope this helps.
does the rear door latch affect the door ajar light staying on
I would say it shouldn't, unless the door isn't shutting all the way or if the sensor went out.
