After a while Home Depot sales their rental tools. For almost, if not, 70% off retail prices. You can put in your zip code or a zip code near you and find the nearest one that is selling a carpet extractor. Even concrete surface cleaner, pressure washer and more. Great tip; if you plan on buying more than one item, don't hesitate to ask for an additional discount from the rental tools department manager. You can ask for a dollar amount off like $50 or 10% off. I've seen a CZcamsr do it with great results www.homedepot.com/tool-truck-rental/used-tools/mobile/

One of the things that stood out to me the most when looking it over was that the door jambs were spotless. That instantly gave me the impression that the truck had been well-maintained. I still keep them spotless to this day for that very reason.

Soak the sandpaper that is for wet or dry in the water for a minute then using a sanding block wrap the sandpaper around it dip back in the water and sand in a crisscross pattern making sure to keep the sandpaper wet along with the headlight. Do that til the white milky residue from sanding is gone. Repeat that for all the grit sandpaper working up to 1500 or 2000 grit. As you get to the finer grit paper start using less pressure sanding making sure to do even strokes. Once done with all the sanding clean the headlight with clean water a few times. Wipe with a lint free cloth and then use a tack cloth to get any dust off the headlight. It will be hazy til you clear coat them. Get a can of Crystal Clear automotive clear coat in a can a give the headlights. Easier to show then explain through type. I would sand you tube headlight wet sanding. Dont waste your money on the headlight restoration kits. They dont last. I've done headlights 10 years ago here in the Florida sun and they are still crystal clear. No fading, yellowing or hazing. Take your time doing the steps and you will have Excellent results.

New headlights for the trucks are almost the same price as restoring old ones. And, put LED bulbs in if you really wanna sell it to the 1st buyer. LED front lights, turn signals, running lights and tail lights and reverse lights. Makes the vehicle look brand new. MUCH better lights and visibility. And when you show them to a potential buyer they immediate see a beautiful truck.

6:15 - PLEASE, PLEASE, NEVER USE UNDERCOATING, especially if you plan to sell the vehicle. Unless you plan to completely remove all old paint, prime, and THEN apply undercoating, DON'T DO IT. The stuff used in this video will flake and peel off of any surface that is not completely clean, free of rust, and dry. "Blackening" the wheel well area will cause well-educated prospective buyers to turn away from your vehicle. Moisture will get behind this paint and ENCOURAGE rust. All you're doing is hiding the truth. Power washing your engine compartment is also a BAD IDEA. CAREFULLY COVER ALL THE ELECTRONICS (which is most everything) IF YOU INSIST ON POWER WASHING!!!!! A lot of the cleaning and other aspects of this video are good, though.

I knew an old mechanic back in the 80s who would put used motor oil on a spray bottle and coat his undercarriage/frame with it once a year. He would park on the street for about a week afterward. It stops rust dead in its tracks but I'm sure it infuriates tree hugging hippie types. I don't do it but I would consider it if I found myself with a real rust issue. Lets face it, children's breakfast cereal is full of roundup, most produce is sprayed with neurotoxins, and meat is full of antibiotics and synthetic hormones, a bit of dino drippings isn't going to make much difference.

@@murrayshekelberg9754 I kind of do the same thing but cleaner. I couple times a year (before and after winter) I get underneath my car with a rag and some old motor oil and I wipe everything down thoroughly. It has worked very well to prevent rust on cars I daily drive in snow and salt. Spraying is probably faster, but messier. If you wipe it on with a rag you don't get any drips and I can park it in my garage straight after. You also get a good look at everything under there.

Cab corners are empty tubes that have little holes for if water was to get in to come out, but that is actually what makes it rust. Find a piece of rubber that will fill the holes and on the last hole pump oil into it and that will stop any cab corners from rusting from the inside like they do 90% of the time. Thought I would share the knowledge of rust prevention with oil.
