10 Foods to Avoid to Get the Flat Belly You've Dreamed Of
Vložit
- čas přidán 14. 06. 2024
- We all want to have a flat stomach, but even with intensive workouts and dieting belly fat remains the most difficult kind to get rid of. The secret that will help you drop some pounds is avoiding certain foods.
You most likely know it already, but it won’t hurt going over it again: avoid junk food, fried foods, and ice cream. The more you get, the more you want to satisfy your ever-growing craving. If you’re seriously set on getting rid of belly fat, you really do have to kick the habit of drinking pop and store-bought juices. Even diet soda slows down your metabolism and makes your body store more fat. Speaking of drinks, you’ll also have to say no to alcohol. Some alcoholic beverages are loaded with calories, but it’s not just about the caloric content in certain drinks. Alcohol consumption itself increases your appetite and confuses the part of your brain that’s responsible for that full feeling in your stomach.
Along with sugar, salt should also be limited to small amounts, especially if you suffer from high blood pressure. Remember that one tablespoon of mayonnaise has about 100 calories.
Another food to avoid is chewing gum. When you chew gum, your brain and stomach get signals that prepare them for an incoming meal. This means that gum triggers the overproduction of stomach acid, which ends up making you feel hungry.

SUMMARY
-Alcohol consumption itself makes you feel hungry, so no matter how full you are, when you go for a bottle of beer, you usually grab a snack too.
-If you’re seriously set on getting rid of belly fat, you really do have to kick the habit of drinking pop and store-bought juices.
-Gum triggers the overproduction of stomach acid, which ends up making you feel hungry, especially for sugary stuff.
-Not only are high-sodium foods harmful to your health, they also make your body retain fluids, resulting in a puffy belly.
-Junk food is a scary mix of fat, sugar, and chemical additives that give it a great taste negatively affect the good bacteria in your gut, and that leads to obesity.
-If you’re a big fan of mayonnaise, then you should know that this condiment contains at least 80% fat.
-Foods fried in oil work like a sponge that absorbs saturated fats that trick your brain and so you just keep shoving food in your mouth without even noticing it.
-The more ice cream you get, the more you want to satisfy your ever-growing craving.
-Dairy, apples, lentils, beans, and artichokes all cause bloating which gives bulging bellies to even the skinniest people.
-Artificial sweeteners in “diet” foods might have no calories in them, but they will make you want to eat more, which only leads to gaining excess weight.

I like your style.

As we speak I am drinking a wine cooler ,if it counts , but I don’t drink a lot
Bad guy 😲😨😲
I lost 45 lbs in a year eating almost everything I like but in moderation. Yes I drank soda, 1 can a week, Ice cream, one serving a week, and so on. Just don't eat until you are ready to explode. Moderation is the key
YES THANK YOU! Too many people feel like not eating garbage is impossible and like you'll turn anorexic if you try to be healthy in any way. Being healthy doesn't mean starving yourself but using common sense and BALANCE. Too many people are too lazy to be open minded to moderation. I think a lot of people don't know the difference between being a normal healthy person vs being a health nut who adds supplements and does extreme diets for extreme results.
Ahmad Ghosheh I’ve lost over 40pds and I still have this belly. I exercise and watch my food intake. I drink nothing but water to. One thing (well many things, lol)he didn’t mention was your Fiber intake. That’s important to.
only if i knew what moderation means. i am to lazy to google it
agree 👍👍
Ahmad Ghosheh Well I like to take care of something I’ve worked for everyday and that’s my muscles, and abs.
Ice cream--once a month for me as a reward-----everything in moderation
Sounds like you are a slim person. Great

10 years ago, when I hit 305 pounds, I got serious about diet. First thing I noticed was that artificial sweeteners didn't affect weight at all--positive or negative. So I used plain sugar, but just about one teaspoon per glass or bowl of cereal. Losing the chemicals got me off of the plateau. Now I'm down to 2 light meals per day, and I weigh 180.
Well done dude,
😭😭😭

I disagree about gum. It has been my saving grace over the past year. Chewing on gum instead of food has worked fantastically for me. It has never led me to any cravings and has kept my mouth happy. Honestly, you wanna lose weight. Try intermittent fasting (8/16 routine). I lost 24 pounds this summer in ten weeks. It sounds hard, but after three weeks, your body gets used to it and you lose your desire to eat from boredom or stress.
i'm addicted to gum and nothing has changed with my body
So everything that tastes good, lol
Is bad
Not necessarily
Everything that’s been sold to you in order to make you sick and give pharma higher profit yields
Um. Yes😂😂😂
As soon as you cleanse your palate of salt and sugar for 3 weeks, you will discover what food actually tastes like. Real food will taste better and junk food will taste like what it is. 😏
It's hard for me cause my family always eats junk food and drinks like soda...I'm trying to eat healthy but sometimes I would rather starve than eat junk food....
I can relate to this.
IKR I can't find healthy fpod😭😭

Yeahh same, but das tuff
Just eat things like baked chicken and fish shrimp without salt baked grilled. Grilled chicken salad. White part of eggs. Fruits veggies and fruit veggie smoothis. Greens kale. Carrots. No soda drink water or healthy juices or make your own juice water is still the best drink straight from God. Also please look at Acts 2:38 Bible. Your health is important make that change. God Bless
I’m eating junk food while watching this and I want to get a flat belly
Yeah! Me too ;)
Me too!!! Pizza!!
I really like fruit, especially because my mum ate a lot of it while she was pregnant w/me
All the world
Then good luck. You'll need it
If you want a flat belly, get active and fix your posture
But mind you, this will be a painful procedure, but it comes with the most satisfying results
Healthy life ~I always get up to sunshine! ...and I like coffee too much but have just started my new way of life and I take lots of vitamins ..I don't drink or drug. However take meds for seizure activity in my brain at night. I tend to like to go back to sleep and I love taking naps when I can! I get up so early... I love to sleep, however when I have something fun and active to do...sleep can wait! This is coming from a woman that is a homemaker and mom. Haven't been under any stress,. Just depression with bad weather. I'm 52..but I feel about 43. That's a fair number. When I was 47 I felt 32. I concentrate on high protein and veggies! No carbs but if I eat any it's in the morning from now on. I am NOT a bread lover. Thank you!!
Dairy WAS the hardest for me. but after doing my doctorate (I got a PhD in Early Modern British History at King's College, University of Aberdeen, Scotland/2012) I weighed nearly 260 lbs from stress and adrenal fatigue! I was so upset and unhappy. By cutting out all sugar and doing a modified paleo diet, I've lost 99 lbs! I'd like to lose another 20 lbs which would make me 141 on my 5'8" medium size frame. Not too shabby for a 54 year old woman. If you care to see the difference. I have made videos back in 2009 and some from last year which really show the difference. It's made me feel so much better and very happy!
If I can do it, you can do it too! God Bless you all!
Nice story..keep off fast foods.
So basically anything that gives my life joy 😐
If food is what gives you joy, you have a sorry life!
Sleeps more joyfull😴
Wanna know the golden equation for eating healthy food?
Stay away as much from food/products that involves man-hands. Anything you find in nature and a human-friendly for consumption then go for it.
Basically, before buying anything from the grocery, ask this question “can I find this in nature?” Yes, then buy it, no then stay away.
Right!
Then I wish chocolate grew on trees 🍫🌳
@@sylviagerritsen7975 no they don't, its the cocoa beans
Air fryers are helpful for cooking foods instead of oils , and olive oil when an oil is needed.
You left out white starch. It swells your belly, slows down digestion and when it comes to white flour it's filled with chemicals that are poisons.
This video is basically saying don't eat or drink anything except for fruits, vegetables, and water.
fish is really good and grilled chicken and salads there alot out there thats still good
Yep That's Just Exactly What It's Saying But You Know Berry's Are Really Good To Put Into You're Diet Too Sweetness
Cut out bread (2 slices per week max), no pasta, no rice (use cauliflower rice instead) max two potatoes or 10 chips per week, absolutely no soft drinks and no sugar. Lost 3 inches on stomach in 5 weeks.
@Micheal! How many calories in a slice of bread??
Brown bread is ok I guess, and brown rice is ok
If I avoid these all foods,I wont know the meaning of beautiful life.
Beautiful life comes with the price to pay
Thank you for this very important piece of information.
The zero and diet sodas are the hardest to give up for me.
I have lost 50 pounds in 19 months even though I eat fast food 2 times a week and still do. Everything else mentioned that is unhealthy, I don't do. My next goal is to lose 31 more pounds.
KENNETH SPAULDING how did u accomplished it do tell
You must be very young, as an older person my pounds are more stubborn.
Nice
thank you for this very useful advice!
I absolutely love ice cream. I can stop eating everything else on this list.

Sad to know that apple's cause bloating..I started eating them recently as a part of my diet..
Have you felt bloated?
Girl eat it it’s still healthy I live for apple
Don’t see any bloating
One apple a day keeps you away from the doctor
Apples don’t cause bloating most stuff that cause bloating to me is rice, pasta, and bread.
Sireesha V....Another video said to eat apples in the AM & early afternoon, but to eat apples. It would seem they mean don't eat them when bed time is getting near!
Seems like when I started eating gum, I tend to crave for more sugar and food. I tried to avoid gum. I am staying away from fast food. I am eating salad with chicken and eat fresh fruits and vegetables. I get a lot of bloating from diary.
10 foods to avoid:
1. ALCOHOL
Me: it's okay, it's okay. Still got 9 foods to go.
😂😂
They forgot to mention carbs. Stay away from food that contain A LOT OF carbs. Also try drininkg hot water early in the morning or lemon juice, it works. Abs are made in the kitchen people!
EastAfrican Boy ☺correct, Absolutely truthful (from half East African girl😊)
I'm gunna try that tomaro morning. Thanks
Yes it works thanks
that's false but whatever
Wrong. Carbs ain't bad. If it comes from healthy sources
THANK YOU very much for making this video which is presented in a simple & most comprehensive way. 👌👌👍👍👏👏
None of these are hard for me not to eat because I've been following a strict diet and doing the right amount of exercise, seeing my stomach go from super flat and toned to bloated and all out it makes me question my eating patterns, I'm glad this popped up in my suggestions.
High fiber foods; lentils are a favorite, lots of salt despite having hypertension. I tried limiting my sodium but got severe leg cramps. Cheese 4-5 times weekly and fried foods about 6 times a year. Ice cream very rare. Also I drink a lot of water, rarely soda.
Man, that Ice cream is addictive 😋
As always, thank you for useful and practical tips. I always, watch your channel. More power.
Omg the home made frozen banana paste is the bees knees, I think I found my new sweet treat for the upcoming Summer!
A frozen banana, huh? Well, what do I have to lose.
It can even hurt you if you eat or drink too many healthy things. Like last year I drank almost 10 bottles of water a day. Even though it was healthy the doctors said I drank too much of it and that was the reason I was so bloated.
Basically no food just meal replacement shakes and exercise. That's how I lost my menopause belly at post menopause. I have 2 meal replacement shakes. 1 for breakfast and 1 for lunch. Few healthy snacks and light dinner. I walk 6 miles in the morning and 4 in the evening. I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. Roughly 5 pounds a week. Now I will slowly add food back into my diet.
Donna, exactly which meal replacement shakes? Thank you 😀
@@greggocean I doing the Chocolate Slimfast shake for breakfast and Strawberry Slimfast shake for lunch.

Sprinkling salt, a little, on your food is NOT the culprit. Nor is using salt in your own home cooking! It is the salt in processed foods and the salt in restaurant and fast foods. IF you stop eating out, at all, for a month or so and avoid processed foods with any kind of sodium, then go into a restaurant, the food will be so salty that you can barely eat it, or maybe not be able to eat it at all. This is what happens to me at Olive Garden (the worst offender), KFC, and so on. Another TIP: use popcorn salt as your table salt. It is much more finely ground and spread better on food. You will find yourself using much less sprinkling salt this way.
Or else, use Himalayan pink salt. 🌿
Sometimes, the problem is not saying no. It might actually be due to their availability. They might be cheap, available and also many people eat them n we copy. What advice would you give if am in school and it serves mostly posho and beans for lunch and for a change rice and beef?
Thanks for your advice
Im gonna try this idea. Thanks for sharing..
It is not "what" that matters actually, but "how much"
neny mariani...that is what a guy said earlier in the comments. Portion control is the main thing to do! Sorry about a comment a year later!!!!
Processes and canned food definitely is #1 enemy on weight loss. 🙂
Excellent thanks .
Wow this information is really very true& effective
1,500 is a little low for sodium. Just like healthy sugars from carbs and fruit, our bodies need sodium to function, it’s an electrolyte. As long as you aren’t overdoing it and the foods you’re eating are healthy. Recommended sodium is actually 3,500. Don’t go over that though.
Hey bright side can you have a dark side
Astha's Art Diary Everybody and everything have a dark side, even those who live near the sun. Otherwise we won’t be having night here on Earth, or any shadows, and people won’t become angry. So this is a part of the Nature ... Nothing wrong with the dark side after all.
Lol, nice! :D
Where der is no light der is darkness 🤣🤣🤣
Let the Light shine into the darkness
Thank you for the Video.
Thank u for the info...it helps a lot😍💕
Just minimise your intake of salt, sugar and dairy
Hard to say bye to Ice Cream, for sure. ☺
That will be something I can never quit. It is all about how much you consume and how often you eat it.
Ok thank you ,its my favorite.
Thank you very much for help sir👍👍👍
really infomative..thanks for sharing...
Soda, ice cream, Salt those are my biggest problems. So I must begin to work out at the gym to help myself.
I have a hard time saying no to ice cream and I don't buy donuts because I can easily eat the 6 at one sitting.
Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for the very interesting informations😘
I agree with a lot of this but before anyone decides to start cutting foods out of their everyday "diet" they should def check w/their doctor. Apples are actually very good for you but just like with most other fruits they produce sugar. It is natural sugar but not something a diabetic would need. Just b/c it makes you bloated for a bit doesn't mean you should stop eating your fruits & veggies lol. But still a good video to make people more aware. I know about a lot of this b/c 1. I had an eating disorder years ago & 2. at the age of 36 I had a massive heart attack and almost died. Everyone on my mothers side that has died, died of massive heart attacks or some type of heart related issue...so I went to my doctor after my heart attack & asked for help to start on a healthier lifestyle. Sorry for such a long post...lol
How about mud I heard it has antioxidants and enzymes from the soil.
Thank you Bright side for amazing videos 😀
Thx you informative

Kashish Maheshwari hi
Am I the only one who eats all of these except alcoholic drinks?
no
Amazing content!
Thanks for your dait
I drink red wine with my dinner and I still know when I am full. It doesn't make my brain numb, but when my eyes are blurry from using the computer, I can see more clearly when I drink wine.
Thanks man imagine when you wear a small t shirt and your belly stomach totally comes out and you are feeling disappoint you are missing your some do you agree with me
You eat drink everything here, but in moderation. Dont be so strict to yourself, enjoy life! but be healty as well
AMAZING INFO. THANKS BRIGHT SIDE😘
Video is super, I agree with all the points except chewing gum because gum has always helped me to avoid unnecessary eating and I've got good results. Whenever I feel like eating burger pizza ice cream or any favourite food I eat a chewing gum. I always keep different flavours with me. I know it's sugary but it helps me to avoid unwanted meals.
abhijeet .R Totally agree!
Ok. But it makes me hungry . Works differently for different people
You can eat everything in moderation and go to the gym then you'll be fine!
Only thing that helped, for a year i did not eat bread, pasta, anything with flour in it! Not being american, i never drank softdrinks,j sodas, fruitjuices, no chewing gum either, no fast food, chips candies and not too much fruit either. Lost 40 lbs in my seventies!
Thank you so much Bright Side.

Love dis channel......keep going
I did not know that apples can cause bloating
thank you for this video, it really teach me some suff
keep up the good work
I didn't know too and this video was helpful
They don't that's bull I eat a apple every day
This stuff is okay in moderation....it’s OKAY to have this stuff once in awhile! As long as you’re not eating it continuously! Also, calories aren’t a good thing to go by because most of the time, they’re not even right! Calories are just the unit of measurement of the energy food gives us. The machine they use to measure this hasn’t changed since the 60s, so they’re is a 30% chance of error! I was recently in an Eating Disorder treatment facility for a few months, and they actually wanted us to eat this stuff! We had to have candy bars for snacks, we had to have a certain amount of carbs, fats, proteins, dairy, fruit and veggies eaten by the end of the day: and if we didn’t, we were forced to drink a boost! And if you didn’t do that, you were put on bedrest and got the feeding tube put in you! Videos like this aren’t helpful because it is teaching people to be afraid of food. Everything is okay in moderation! Variety is key! Please check with your doctor about any diets you want to try. Most diets out there are fads! Avoiding foods is not the answer, having a variety is. Please try to lose weight in a healthy way!
Eat what you want, just be conscious of the amount you eat, and exercise!
Yes I agree completely that’s y I have a huge problem with bright side just eat a lot of healthiness and eat this stuff moderately and do exercise
Isopura oh... You are right. Sorry. I will delete that reply.
I don't think this video makes people scared of food. It is just saying to avoid drinking soda, alcohol, eating junk, etc. most of the time. In other words, eat whole, unprocessed foods. Make your food at home. That's what I do every day and I eat 2,300 cals a day. I'm never hungry and I don't get sweets cravings very often. I use dark chocolate to curb my chocolate cravings because dark chocolate is good for you and has minimal added sugars. I also eat smoothie bowls and fruit, so that also prevents me from craving sweets.
With that said, I still go out to eat once a week, but I just don't do it all the time. I get bloated and stomach achy from eating out, so I like to avoid that discomfort.
Well you sound like an anorexia patient. They were obviously trying to make you gain weight not lose it. Not eating will hurt you too. You have to eat but most people eat too much and more than half of Americans are overweight and one third are obese. Im overweight too and if I watch my calories I lose weight so the calorie thing is close to being accurate.
So helpful video, thanks I love ice cream 🍦
Most certainly worth a try pretty simple
