    That was a very strenuous stretch, well done Trev, the valley at Heddon's Mouth is a real pain. The Valley Of Rocks is one of my fave places. I'd recommend going back there on a sunny day and explore Castle Rock and Hollerday Hill, the views are spectacular. What a great way to end the day, fireworks at Lynmouth with your family, brilliant!

Nice to see you still got a solo Summit or Nothing in, at the summit mind. Although not your favorite part of the walk, the path did look very clear to follow and I still enjoyed it, cheers Alan

    Walking the stretch from Heddons Mouth to Woody Bay is one of my Favourite parts of the Coast Path. Ive discovered a really good circular walk starting from the Car Park not far from Woody Bay Railway that takes you on a Higher path along the coast and past (or into )the Pub at Heddons Mouth before joining the Coast Path and then back towards the Woody Bay again.

    • @SummitOrNothing
      @SummitOrNothing  Před 5 lety

      Yep I bet that is a great walk. Is a lovely part of the world. I would probably say I prefer the north Cornish beaches to this area myself. But as long as I'm walking and by the coast I'm happy. Thanks for watching!

  • @TravellingTorunn
    @TravellingTorunn Před 5 lety

    Great video again :-) Relatively long walk I think. We did a 13,7 mile (22 km) walk this summer, but that was in August and much longer daylight. The flapjacks look delicious :) You have really covered a lot of the path now. We will look out for you next summer when we are walking our next leg from St. Ives to Penzance :)

  • @WalksWithOlly
    @WalksWithOlly Před 5 lety

    I think you owe us a video on how to make those flapjacks, Trev. It's thicker than many cakes that I've ever made! ;-) Good to see you back on the coast in Exmoor. I've been meaning to (waiting for a friend to tell me when she's ready to do it) walk from Porlock to Lynton for a long time and seeing the Valley of the Rocks now, I'm keen again. Great capturing of the fireworks as well - I know that's quite difficult to do well with most cameras.
    All the best.

      @SummitOrNothing  Před 5 lety +1

      There is a flap jack video coming soon, Olly, dont you worry! This was a good walk - I was a bit anxious on it being so lengthy and my not having been out for ages but I got through it ok. Thanks for watching, hope you get back out there soon!

    I was out lynton in October for me mothers birthday. Had to walk around in me hiking socks after I crushed my feet walking barnstaple to Croyde in New boots, your not the only one who suffered on that god awful stretch. To much tarmac and tree canopies for my liking. I'm dreading the ups and downs on the stretch you did in this vid, its given me some hope seeing you storm it. Always good to see you stomping bud ATB mike

    • @SummitOrNothing
      @SummitOrNothing  Před 5 lety

      Yea I didn't even make it to croyde. Was a tough stretch. This was a great walk, hilly to start but according to others I met in the walk, it's easier from combe Martin to lynmouth than the other way. Good luck when you get round to it. Sure you'll enjoy it if you leave yourself enough time . Thanks for watching!

    Nice video. Loved that walk. I did it last year but I skipped around some bits. I was interested in this because I'm considering doing the North Cornwall part this winter and wondered if that's crazy?

    • @SummitOrNothing
      @SummitOrNothing  Před 5 lety

      I did a lot of coast walking over the winter. As long as you wrap up, it should be fine, although it does get a bit boggy and slippery underfoot in places. Good luck to you! Thanks for watching!

    Being curious, how many hours more does it take to do the hike and the associated video as opposed to just the hike?

    • @SummitOrNothing
