    This is from many years back...Ummah continues to sleep. As long as the “man-made” labels like Shia/Sunni are used by individuals ...there’s no Ummah. Just be a Muslim...connect to true spirit of Quran like companions did...to protect self...don’t worry about other. Things will shape up organically once the student is ready.#TalkingToMyself

    • @lelev.5758
      @lelev.5758 Před 2 lety +2

      Those labels existed even when the ummah was thriving. Its not that, its the lack of practicing islam and lack of raising children with love, patience and true guidance, its the lack of fear Allah, its the nationalism, its the opression by parents and other family members against the weaker ones, its the arrogance and lack of respect for human dignity, its the lack of respect for Islam amongst Muslims themselves, its the refusal to learn what they need to learn about the deen. There is no ummah if Muslims don't care about contemplating on their own faults nor care about changing.

      More importantly there can NEVER be unity with the Shia who are a deviant sect. The Shia are NOT part of the Muslim Ummah! It is the Sunni Muslims who must work towards being United.

      Allah gave you the name of "Muslim" in the Quran. None of us were called Sunni, Shia etc. Just Muslim.
      Prophet Muhammad S.A.W also called all of us Muslims and so did his successors.
      All sects are divisons made by man. I agree with the statement that we should avoid labeling each other. It only leads to division and strife.

    I was living in a joint family system, had two little children and had zero control over them. They were given their own ipads at the age of only a few months. Haram was very prevalent in that house. Music, bad movies, TV in every room, short clothes. And then one day, after failing in all things i tried, i ran away with them and seeked a khullah. It's been three years now. Alhumdullilah. That was the best decision of my life. Yes, it's not easy, even to this day I'm fighting a custody battle in court. But it's worth it. The thing that motivated me to take this action is that I'll be questioned about the children I'm given on the day of judgement. If the father is unprotective and abusive towards the children, then it is my responsibility to step up for their sake. Mothers can not just cry and say "oh i had no control, i was being abused myself" Well, my dear sisters, in Islam being abused is not a virtue. Take action! You will be questioned. Even about your own self. This body belongs to Allah. You let it get abused, you are sinning. There are some things you need to be ready to die for. That's where our Iman is in danger. We have to die in the end anyway, why not die trying instead of crying.
    Now, with the blessings of Allah, my children watch no tv, i don't have one Alhumdullilah. No music. No movies. I only let them watch one hour of CZcams in my own supervision. Because the cartoons these days are extremely filthy. So i supervise what content they watch. It's mostly educational or Islamic. Alhumdullilah.
    In their free time they use their brains instead of screens.
    Alhumdullilah.
    Please make dua i win the final custody. Tomorrow Insha'Allah I'll go to court for cross questioning. Only Allah knows what they will ask me, but i have faith. The Merciful One who kept me afloat until now, will carry me through too Insha'Allah.

    • @observer698
      @observer698 Před 2 lety +1

      how did you convince children to like you or come with you? In the USA if you get separated they ask kids who they want to stay with! and kids don't like to be controlled. If you are the one who constantly say no tv or electronics then they don't like you :{

    • @zx864
      @zx864 Před 2 lety +5

      @@observer698 everybody asks me this. I'll try to answer it. It's a bit complicated but I'll try my best.
      My children were 4 and 6 when we left.
      It's a fact that all children have an innate ability to distinguish between right and wrong. They are born on fitrah, as Islam tells us. They get corrupted later. Over there they used to see their mother getting beaten (when i tried to stop them from doing something haram, or protested against their father's many illicit relationships) although at that time they used to stay silent because that's what they saw since they were born, but inside they felt something which they couldn't put into words. Also another thing is they had no respect for me in that house. Reasons, 1) they naturally felt safer with the more powerful one 2) i was treated like their maid. How can they respect their maid. It was natural for them to stay silent, not voice their real thoughts even if they knew how to because it's scary to speak up against a person who has the power to beat even for an adult.
      So when i stood up for them ie took them away from that harsh haram environment and stood up for myself, their scale of respect shifted. Applying the same rule they felt safer with the relatively more powerful parent (all power belongs to Allah, I'm sorry to use this word with myself but i did it for explaining sake).
      So instead of questioning me "why did you take us away from all those luxuries?" The elder one said "why did they used to beat you so much?" Why didn't he ask me this there? Because he was scared! And they asked "why did father not wear pants around the house?" (This takes us back to how children are born on their fitrah. How did they know this is not normal? Because it's against the nature.)
      So after coming here. In the beginning they said we are bored. I told them a few stories about how we used to entertain ourselves when we were younger. They felt a pull towards this natural simple way of life and very quickly, much quicker than i expected, they adopted to this new life.
      Now even if they get a chance to stare at screens, they don't enjoy it much. The one hour i give them thru watch and that's all. They enjoy running around, playing in the rain, making crafts, helping me cook and clean.
      I think the thing that helped them become like this is i used to tell them prophets stories. I started from hazrat Adam a.s. those stories helped me immensely in building their morals. Now they pray and read Quran without me telling them to.
      It's all from Allah, you take one tiny step towards Him and He lifts you up.
      I do see tough times, ofc, but Allah's help us always there.
      I'm not writing this as something i achieved. No, I'm not arrogant about it at all. Allah willed it. Allah gave me the sources and wisdom to do it. We do tiny effort, Allah puts huge results.

      That’s right. We aren’t creating QUALITY human beings.
      Our education system in Canada needs to be completely revamped immediately.
      It is single faceted. We have forgotten so much.
      Teachers need to wake up. Ask yourself what is a curriculum.
      Why are so many adolescents acting like shitheads? It has nothing to do with the individual. It’s our society.

      As a teacher I agree as well. The schools nowadays are just babysitting our children, wasting their whole day instead of teaching them properly. Our children are getting depressed when held in school all day them expected to spend the rest of the day doing homework. Kind of like farm animals. This needs to stop

    I pray to God -- as a Muslim born and raised -- that Muslims see the reality of the situation, and that they understand that the model that goes back to the 11th century AD worked for them then but would never work for them now. And please stop using words such as "Kufar" (Infidels). If Christians and Jews are infidels, then what would we say of those people who do not profess an organized religion and have no Scriptures? Islam's empire was built on inclusion and constructive dialogue with others, not a language of discrimination and exclusion. If that were true, Islam would have been hated and persecuted and banished from history -- which never happened. We have a venerable humanistic tradition. Why not use that instead of going back to those books which were produced during the twilight and decline of Islamic civilization? Why hate, fight , and cofront others? Why not establish our own model that inspires others and lights the beacon through respect, peace, and solidarity? Why all this crusader era propaganda? Especially now when we are neither advanced -- intellectually, scientifically , and politically -- enough nor strong enough to stand by such rhetoric.

      Great points. I actually believe that the name calling is pointless. Infidels and Kufar is mostly used by the uneducated and ignorant. Word of advice to all my brothers and sisters. Learn your religion before you talk or spread your opinions. Our tradition is rich and very logical. The trick is to sift through all the junk by putting in time to actually learn. The prophet(saw) started from a very low place. He was surrounded by his clan that were idol worshippers. He applied logic and Allah led him to victory. Islam is a personal thing and it is not what the ignorant think. JazakaAllah bro and I wish you the best in finding the path of the prophet S.A.W

    The short answer is, Allah cursed this world, and whoever lives for it, those who are willing to abandon this world for the sake of Allah shall be from those whom Allah will shade them with his mercy,
    We as ummah have forgotten (ignored) the truth, and this is the price we are paying,
    May Allah guide us and bring us closer to his mercy, Allahumma amen.
