  • The word "triggered" is used to describe a strong emotional response to an upsetting event that reminds one of past traumas. The term has become popular for its colloquial use of feeling offended or hurt. Learning to handle negative or stressful situations is key to living a life of emotional and spiritual balance. In this episode, Shaykh Hamza discusses the sacred messages from the Quran which provide the antidote to negativity, teaching us to break free from the shackles of our base desires and find true freedom through the prophetic response.
About the Sacred Text Messages podcast:
In this age of material excess and spiritual privation, grounding ourselves in divine guidance has never been more critical. The Sacred Text Messages podcast with Shaykh Hamza Yusuf provides an antidote to the modern madness by reconnecting us with God and His Messenger ﷺ. Listen to timeless wisdoms from sacred sources and rediscover Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.

Excellent lecture from Br. Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, as always. Shaykh Hamza in my opinion is one of the best presenters of Islam the East and West has produced.🎓 (Pardon the Masonic themed reference of traveling from the East to the West code of the Freemasons, but in this case "If the shoe 👞 fits"!) I say E & W because Br. Hamza was not only educated in the West;(I've heard the br. recite Shakespeare, Plato, Aristotle and now Thoreau, as well as championing for Liberal Arts Education in the West at the Zaytuna Institute), but he was also educated overseas🌊 in the East, at the feet of legitimate Muslim Scholars!🎓 He has dedicated his life to bringing Islamic learning and Scholarship to the West, along with a handful of other good, dedicated Mumins✋ that keep the faith strong💪 and growing, here in the West and even abroad!🌊
I like how br. Hamza uses practical real world scenarios and events and how he correlates them with Scripture & Revelation to make it relevant in today's times.🕙 I also find his using Logic, Language, Behavioral Psychology and the Socratic Method,(teaching by asking the Students important Life questions to come to a deeper, more meaningful comprehension of Life's Purpose and meaning) to be most effective in raising the conscious and subconscious awareness of truth in his listeners!
If I had the time or money to explore the opportunity to get an Education at The Zaytuna Institute, I would consider attending The Zaytuna Institute myself.
For now, I'm content in my explorations, into my Liberal Arts Education🎓 from my own Autodidact learning research🤔 and that suffices me. Alhumdulillah☝🙏😇✋🕋🕊🌎🌍🌏
It's inspiring to listen to lectures and talks from these dedicated Muslim Br.'s.
Sometimes I feel like "Neo"😎 from the Matrix when I get that "Eureka" moment from a topic discussed, on a subject matter I was just pondering🤔 before I even heard the lecture. It's like "Whoow", when Neo saw Morpheus jump over to the next Skyscraper in the first Matrix Movie🎥, after he took the red pill! 💊
May Allah protect and preserve br. Hamza and all the other Sincere Mumin's and their families🙏 as they spread and teach the true Message of Islam within this short time🕙we have here on this Big Blue Marble looking Planet we call Earth!🌎🌍🌏
    Ameen!☝🙏😇

Dear respected brother, an honorable blessed Shiek Hazrat Hamza Yousuf Jaan.
in Sha Allah, Our Rabul Karim continue showering you with endless mercy of Iman, health and prosperity next to your sweet family .
I had never enjoyed Islamic informative speeches so profoundly until I came across your videos and taps.
Please be aware that one of your unique and so fabulous wisdom is that in every paragraph of your speech when you code a note of a pervious scholar , you mention their names and even their books name.
Subhanallah, you never intend to steel some one else’s idea or statements. That portray you and your family value and nobel character.
Unfortunately that is not the case through the educational spectrum. Even if it would be people with doctorate degree or just a collage student degree .
I noticed Hadies of Rasul s.a.w in Dr king’s speech and
He never acknowledged our prophet s. I see wise stories of Mulana Jalaludeen Rumi Balkhies’s in Dr Wayne Dyer’s speeches and he make no mention of Moulana. I see the spiritual message of Khawaja Abdula Ansari Ahrary and that Pakistani Dr. Qadri who is from 80 years old country called Pakistan and he make no mention of original source .
    My question is this!
Are these people are sick or thief , dead in their heart by thinking to fool others and allowing their ego rise ??
By the way my dear real doctor, Hamza Yousuf Jaan, the story of Pakistani wise man is not true. It is stolen .
It is the story of one of the student of Abo Ali Sena Balkhi or Avessena and Shiek Abo Saied Abo Al-khyr. ابوسعید ابوالخیر some thousand years ago in khurasan. Book name is Resalat Abo Saied Abo al khyr.
    With Regards.
    Homayoun Azizi
