    Finally he says something political, and with some courage. It's late, but not too late. It's possible to fully redeem himself by consistently speaking truth to power. Leaders like him need to build courage in the ummah by speaking truth to corrupt power in our own midst. For example, by clearly naming and identifying the Saudi thugs as rogues who disgrace our deen and whose regime should come to an end.
    Piety and spirituality must be nurtured alongside a political consciousness. We are accountable to Allah for our personal devotions and for our public responsibilities. Our leaders are public figures who have a greater share of the responsibility for speaking up against injustice. We look up to them for guidance in all respects, and not only in respect of spiritual and intellectual growth.

      I am glad you raised this issue. If you go back into history, you will realize that it was the culture of the time globally for children (male or female) to get married when they attained puberty. This was the culture amongst all people, Muslims, Christians, Jews etc. Therefore, if you study the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), you will notice that no person who was against him or his message ever brought this issue up as it was the norm of that culture for all members of society to marry at the age of puberty. Also, the mental maturity of the human beings of that age regardless of religion enabled them to embark on the journey of marriage at what we now consider a young age due to our current cultural norms of our entire society.

    • @stevewilliams3338
      @stevewilliams3338 Před 3 lety +1

      @alfa paul No, I wasn't aware of that. However, I am open to understanding the conditions that allow an individual and society to condone the behaviour. At three years of age, some children are still toilet training, and at 9 a female is still very much a child. Regardless of the religion or belief system, I find marrying a prepubescent child questionable behaviour. Personally, I don't believe the era; child's demeanour or intelligence; or that the child is treated respectfully as justification.

      @celalalagoz9026 Před 3 lety

      @@Fian_so I see you ask for a more explanatory and justifiable language, not some word play. I respect your sensitivity and dedication for certainty and consistency. I hope I am given the same passion and rigor for holding up on my belief and certainty as advised in Qur'an. You should note that root meaning of "iman" (which we translate as belief) corresponds to security and certainty.
      If I can elaborate a little on my understanding of "God Consciousness" (taqwa), it is my prior responsibility to you to make it clear what I understand about God. Please note that this is where the widespread yet subtle confusion starts. Hence, we need to be very careful in our arguments about God. First and foremost, one can't start the argument with a presumed qualities and properties of God. This method is contradictory and invalid by itself. God as an explanation of existence of events can not be something you observe, measure and make judgements about. It would be pure speculation and an utterly wrong methodology which would in any way not allow verifying the claims put forward. Instead, wee should start from what we observe, experience, sense and perceive and only then conclude about their Governor, Maker, and Source of Existence. Otherwise God would be some agent you make up in your mind and imagination. You can at his point appreciate how imaginary gods such as nature, causes, matter, force, laws, energy, evolution, .. etc are made up in a typical modern and secular mind by this very wrong methodology dictated by modern science, politics, media, education, and other national agencies throughout the globe. There are as many imaginary and made up gods as the number of people talking about these entities without being consistent and being conscious of what they are claiming. In this sense, we live in a chaos of imaginary gods. We fight and debate for something but we have no clue about what we are fighting for. This is the pity of modern times and shame to the history of humanity.
      Therefore, a correct and justifiable understanding of God would go as I experience that my needs are fulfilled swiftly without a hitch and without me even asking for it and having any right on them. Please take your living, seeing, hearing, breathing for contemplation and see how perfectly and harmoniously they are done for your benefit. You can appreciate that reflection upon these bounties would not come to an end. To cut it short, I conclude that I am being taken care of in the hands of Merciful One. And from the unity in order, harmony, dependency, and association I observe in the creation, I conclude everything is in the hand of Divine Mercy, Divine Destiny, and divine Will. Please note these conclusions are open to be expanded and elaborated. I leave these cornerstones brief in order to reach to definition of God consciousness. Hence, everything in creation is absolutely equal in being needy and powerless to bring anything into existence or sustain their existence. And this must be what Prophet (pbuh) meant by everyone is being equal. Also, this is the summary of the message of Qur'an which is in a concise form as: La-ilaha-illa-Allah (No-deity-but-Allah). This is the summary of correct and verifiable methodology to conclude about God.
      Now, if we come to God consciousness, there can be degrees of how much you are aware of La-ilaha-illa-Allah and you live your life accordingly. The degree to which you want to live consistently with this Truth is being God conscious. You can appreciate that it should take serious striving , dedication and trial. Because it has an undeniable potential to change one's perception of life dramatically. It is not some trivial, flimsy and loose worldview. It is not a joke.
      Furthermore, please appreciate that the main theme of this speech is not about definition and understanding of God consciousness. You can see that it is about some practical moral corruptions we face widespread but somehow ignore it by being lazy, coward and selfish. The point you are asking for clarification, on the other hand, is more fundamental, more crucial, and more basic antidote for the true corruption that gnaws and erodes human faculties completely. That's why I felt the need to correspond and communicate. May a peace of heart is given to you, to me and whoever feels the need.

      Fox news: "Muhammad married 9 years old girl"
      MSNBC news:" Muhammad married 9 years old girl"
      David Wood: "Muhammad married 9 years old girl"
      Abostate of Islam: "I left Islam because Muhammad married 9 years old girl"
      Devrim Kay
      Muhammad married 9 years old GIRL"
      As if he had married her last American election or when your mum had you.
      In the 19th century the marriageble age for girls in most USA is between 10-12.
      In the state of Delaware (the state of the current American president) marriageble age for girls was 8 years old.
      This is for you if you happen to be an American
      And if you happen to be British just see the criminal records of brits in Thailand and the Philippines with under "age girls" in accordance to the norms and cultural customs of our time.
      PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PBUH) LIVED ALMOST 15 CENTURIES AGO, WHICH HAD ITS NORMS AND CULTUREL. CUSTOMS.
      Do you have the same norms and culture as your father more lesss your grand father.
      Regardless of your usage of the CZcams, I am not sure that you realize that we are in 21st century, or perhaps you were born literally in the 7th century and still alive. THE PURPOSE OF HATE IS TO BLINDFOLD THE MIND.
      ⚠️Watch your steps .
