  • Hey folks,
    This may not be the most informative video, but in case you’re looking to get an idea for how to go about changing yours it might be helpful.
    It’s pretty basic, nothing earth shattering here, but not everyone has done a radiator before.

    I had to take plastic gaurd above tyre off on full lock to get motor out, was simple pulled the motor apart took the broken plastic reel and re assembled, then fed cable in same way as the video, had to turn car on and off few times😃

    How many quart of coolant it takes just to drain/refill? Thanks for the video! ✌️

      Sorry, not sure! I’d guess no more than 2 gallons. In the radiator itself. However much comes out of the engine in the process… not sure. I’d just have 2 gallons of concentrate on hand, which would give you 4 gallons diluted. Worst case. Then you’ll have some to spare.
      Don’t forget about burping the system, and having a funnel to keep the level above the fill hole in the process. Park on an uphill slope, up on a curb or something. Squeeze the hoses in the process to burp out the air. Good luck! 🍀

      It cost approximately $450 USD. I’m sure there’s a Toyota parts dealer in Dubai, no?

      @@AdventureTEQ thanks for the reply . Well my car is US specification and what is available in the dealer is GCC /gulf specification , there are differences in both radiators .

      Yes, the OEM Toyota radiator is made of aluminum and a reinforced plastic material. No brass.

    Do you use coolant or just water?

    • @AdventureTEQ
      @AdventureTEQ  Před 3 lety

      Coolant. And use the little floaty ball tester to get the right ratio of water/coolant.
