Great walkthrough video. Wish I had this to reference when I did the hundred series radiator 3 years ago

Thanks! Great video. That little tip to move the hose holder on the back of the fan shroud so you can push it back farther made life easier.
Up next, I need to tackle valve cover gaskets.

Love all of your videos. I was wondering if you carry along additional fuel on your trips and what you use to do that? I am thinking about putting a nato jerry can mount on my factory roof rack. Any experience?

I am about to swap the radiator on my 2006 LX 470. How do I top off my transmission fluid after I install the new radiator? Once I disconnect the transmission lines, I will lose fluid. Thanks for your help.

I believe there’s suppose to be a factory foam around or along the perimeter of the radiator. Obviously cooling still works without it but Toyota put it there for a reason. Anyone have any thoughts how crucial the foam is and if it should be replaced?

great video! just replaced mine a couple months ago, also left the fan and shroud in, some wiggling but not bad at all. It will be interesting to see if your truck runs cooler with the new radiator.

Why did you change your radiator if it worked just fine? I've been wheeling in moab desert and towed a car cross country while monitoring my temps and the factory one worked just fine

@@chowcares That's good as i was wondering about the manufacturer of that radiator. Lots of people buying "Denso" radiators on Amazon which then fail soon after. See the reviews! So many counterfeit auto parts on Amazon and Ebay. Must be careful. OEM is only OEM if bought from a dealer or one of the online OEM suppliers.

Never had that issue, but you should probably check for restriction in the fuel system, fuel filter, work out pump etc

I was really dumb and at czcams.com/video/w_AsfQDLSc4/video.html I totally didn't expect the transmission fluid to be different, just assumed it was the same since coolant seemed to still be draining from the bottom hose opening of the radiator x.x. Maybe you could add a "Transmission oil, not coolant!" caption at t=330 ? I went back and saw the explanation at t=90, but for some reason still thought that coolant ran to a separate transmission radiator but it totally made me kick myself for not being more careful.
