Really like this skid plate. Well done ! will definitely consider it. Just a tiny note, it would have been nice to have a see through hole for the Oil. I like the fact that it's protecting the foot peg sensor and has also a nice edge protecting the suspension part. very well thought.
Having seen a video on fitting the OEM, it looks like it could be close... Just how close is what I'd like to know (unless you have a centre stand in the pipeline of products?). Many thanks,
@@10bonder39 that's exactly what I'm needing to find out. Does the outback skid plate fit with the Yamaha OEM center stand? And does the outback pannier rear bar frame clear the Yamaha OEM tail tidy ??? I love what outback are doing the parts, looks well made. I just need to know these two questions from outback or from a fellow T7 owner before I order the full combo kit with the mosko Moto bags .. any help on this will be appreciated. Bike coming this Saturday in power black. Yazzzzz. 😀
Cool plate! By chance, are you considering countersinking the screw sites on future versions at all? A decent sized rock might shear the bolt heads off.
Please use lbs in torque references if you can , only Newton's I know are figs , lol . Do you have an American distributor or are you online . I should get my Tenere in June , can't wait .
@@Outbackmotortek Went to your website for USA and everything is sold out for the Tenere . Any chance of different colors , the red/orange would look horrible on the black Tenere .
Hardworking American our US importers haven’t received Tenere 700 shipments yet since there aren’t any Tenere 700s in the USA yet either. We don’t offer orange powder coated accessories for Tenere 700 but you’ll find black, blue, red and matte silver colour variations
@@Outbackmotortek Cool , I probably will go for the Matte Silver . I see Procycle is gearing up for the Tenere . I have a 2019 DR650 and the Tenere will be a nice addition , maybe a replacement ?
mark mckay then you likely have the previous version which was not compatible with the OEM centre stand. The new ones since August are 100% compatible.

Than you very much. We will do some improvements in the future
Awesome
Stornu2Ruedas thanks man!
As far as i know, this is the only skid plate, wich also prototects the lever of the suspension. Nice!
Doc Honk indeed, also the side stand sensor!
Really pleased to see this - thank you.
Just one question - do you know if this fits with the SW Motec/OEM centre stands?

Many thanks,
Life2 on-tour thanks for your compliments. We’ll experiment with the original Yamaha centre stand
Outback Motortek i have an OEM center stand, will this skid plate fit ?

All the bolts holes are countersunk now
Once we get them in the US I plan to use mine pretty hard off-road. How thick is your skid plate? How many Millimeters?
ernie roach it’s 4mm thick. Standard thickness and does the job perfectly
Hi, got the tailrack from you guys and I am now interested in the skidplate. Does it integrate with the OEM centre stand?
Thanks for your comment. We’re yet to try fitting the OEM centre stand with our skid plate
Do you make one for the euro5 tenere
Yes, absolutely czcams.com/video/idRfMKOqbns/video.html
Does yall full protection kit fit the 2021 with the new cat design
The crash bars are compatible with euro 5 but you must remove or have a small chunk cut out of the metal shield on top of the catalytic converter
Do you have a version of your skid plate that covers the link for the shock?
Not currently. However it’s in the making.
What about the linkage? I want some protection for that too.
Nhat Quang it offers coverage for the linkage. Hence the tail end if folded down.
@@Outbackmotortek oh. Thank you! I have an Africa twin 1000 and I like your skid plate and the crash bar so much.
Nhat Quang thanks! Much appreciated
¿Es compatible con el caballete original de Yamaha?
Si es compatible

Did outback ever test the skid plate with the OEM center stand... Or has any one online done this.. it's so hard to get the correct info
We've just made the required design change. Now they're compatible with OEM Yamaha centre stands
