Good on ya brother for actually riding your T7 and not just posing for style. And crash bars give me peace of mind to enjoy the ride. Good stuff Lorry.

Man.... I just got a Tenere 700 (2024 model) this week and its dope. But I never been offroad on a motorcycle so I been looking into protection. I always thought crash bars look ugly, but that's mainly cuz my first bike is a ninja 650 an they look dumb on sport bikes. But the Tenere looks gnarly, like its ready for war with crash bars/skid plates an all the armor lol. So I been looking into it, an I just read bad shit all around products being week or damaging fairings anyway. A lot of people don't use them, they use camel fairings and Barkbusters instead. The argument is on a flat surface the fairings never touch the ground because the bike is narrow an the handlebars are wide enough. But on uneven terrain your stock fairings will get smashed/cracked hence the camels.. But I seen these outbacks dropped and dragged 10 feet with a forklift multiple times in another vid. NO ONE ELS IS SHOWING YOU THEY TESTED THEIR OWN MERCH. to me, that says it all. I think I'm going to get the crashbar/skid plate combo from these guys, barkbusters, and replace oem fairings with the camel ones. After that il get a rally/enduro exhaust cuz that stock one is bad for multiple reasons I wont go into here. Offroad tires, chain guard, steering dampener, fender delete, smaller turn signals, and ill prolly give it a sweet wrap. Still looking into which bags to get, I used to do a lot of hiking and camping an recently took up hunting so this motorcycle will help with all those activities an be a lot more fun doin it lol. Will probably buy Moskomoto bags, buy once cry once as the saying goes.

Thanks for your input and the compliments! The T7 is a fantastic choice and is a very good overland/offroad moto with the right accessories

Hey Lorry. Great product. Just an idea. What about making some plastic, clip-on protectors for the crash bars. Just for the most exposed bits. That way they take the brunt of a crash and keep the paint on the bars from being damaged and letting rust take hold. The plastic bits can be easily replaced at a small cost. Cheers.

crashed mine waiting to get some crash bars, all these types of bikes are going to bend if you crash them, and all of us are going to crash them if you ride off road,

The lower appears to take the larger portion of impacts though every drop/crash can be different. I've considered running just the lower and using the leftover upper mount to mount up some fog lights. Is it possible to purchase just the upper if I'd like to add them at a later time?

Do you have a UK importer organised or a euro dealer ?
Every time I order from USA I get taxed heavy...🙈

Bill Cairns we’re working on setting up a UK based dealer but until then we can still ship directly to UK from within the EU: europe.outbackmotortek.com

Lots of T7 crash stories out there. Just a thought on the subject of injury to the rider.......Wouldn't the "crash" bars hurt the leg or foot or arm more after falling on the rider, instead of the the flush smooth plastic surface covering the radiator....etc. I believe those crash bars are leg, foot, and arm breakers. I wouldn't go near a set of those, same with the luggage racks.....back breakers. I have ridden enough off road and off road bikes, and crashed to know that the bike often enough....hits you. No bars.....and less crashing ....thats the solution....not adding more weight and money which in the end increases the risk of injury in the end...I am not so worried about the bike, more about myself......etc....just saying.

790 can take a hard crash defo... but suffers reliability owned 790r for 9months been in the dealers on & off for a combined time of 4 months - still at the dealers right now!
That’s why I’m watching T7 posts/ going to trade it ASAP once repaired🙈🙈🙈

@@BillCairns Unless you hit the side tank on a rock, trip over. I understand why you want to swap, I am going on a world trip alone and opted out on the 790. I want the simplicity and reliability. The CP2 T7 engine is well known as the most reliable engine in production atm.
