So you cant mount the skidplate without the crashbars? are you gonna realese a verision with a mount so you dont need the top crashbars?

How does this hold up? mean the bracket can withstand a log or so or does it risk bending?

This video is 20 minutes long and never once shows the rack from the exhaust side. I want to see what kind of clearance there is around the muffler how wide it is and how far it sticks out on one side versus the other.

Do you have something in the works for the Pan America? Got the crashbars for the CB500X and love them, but Upgrade to the Pan Am.

I have your Desert X rack for the Mosko Moto Backcountry Panniers, and that works great. As an unrelated question: I also have the crash bars and skid plate and am going slightly nuts, trying to eliminate rev-related reverberations in the skid plate. It was initially contacting the bike in a few places (lower exhaust clamp bolt, kickstand bolt, and exhaust collector pinch weld) which was remedied by clearancing, but the reverberation is still there, usually when accelerating through 4,000 rpm or so. Any suggestions would be most welcome!

Coolant lines look like they will chafe on the front bolts holding the main bracket. Anyone or any reports of issues with that?

This video needs updating, there are a number of questions not answered in this video: 1. The kit contains washers for the replacement foot peg mounts bolts, however the overall diameter is to large to go inside the recessed hole on the factory mounts (2023 modal) and you have not even used in this clip, so why are they provided? 2. How do you mount the screws for lower tank cover, which are mounted to the original plastic plate which seems to be removed during installation?

I installed these today. I have the Flatland aluminum skidplate. It fit great with the skid plate. (for anyone upset that it didn't fit with your skidplate without modification, how could they possibly make it fit with all skid plates available, that is impossible) They are incredibly sturdy. the packaging did a good job protecting the powder coat, there was even some clear tape over the flanges. The black powder coat is a wrinkle finish, really nice touch because minor scratches won't show at all. I thought the side bars mounted directly to the engine mount, they do not there is a flat piece of bent 1/4" steel that separates this round bar sticking out of the side from the engine mount so there is even more protection for the engine. The only recommendation I have as a product engineer is I would make the crossbar that is close to the fender a little more bent to give a little more clearance. You'd have to make the bar slightly longer to do this. The bar is close but does clear the fender. other crash bars have one crossbar, this has two making a very strong box up front and even has locator pins to make it even stronger. This was worth the extra money and I am glad I didn't cheap out.

Just wanted to add: Outbackmotortek products are top tier. I've installed their crashbars and skid plate on multiple bikes. The center stand is quality too as expected. These springs just have me in a funk.

Minor feedback on this new system, it is great for adjustability but needs recessed bolt heads. The button head bolts stick out and become a wear point for anything you strap on or attach with rotopax.

If you don't have access to a full lift that gets the bike completely off the ground then don't even waste your time. You won't have enough room to get the leverage needed with it on the side stand. Not even close. Plan to take it to a shop and pay to have it installed. They make it look easy in this video but what they don't show you is the bike is up on a lift and they are using a massive ass screw driver with the tip bent into a hook to get it on.

Seriously, has anyone actually gotten the big spring attached? I sure don't know how. It's looking like I'm going to have to take it back off and go with something else.

what torque has to be used at 6:19 to tighten the upper cross brace? there are two bolts and when I tighten one of them the other becomes loose and vive versa

I was deciding between the t rex and motortek crash guards. this video was the deciding factor. for some reason I can't find anyone trusting their bike on the t rex guards in a crash test like this.
