    Congratulations on your new adventure.

  • @STMPY

So glad you two are posting again. I'm a car guy, but these are awesome to watch too!

  • @michaelwilliams8781

Always good to do some basic engine checks before setting off - oil level and alternator/water pump belt tension as well as looking overboard for water outlet from the exhaust. Also, you’ll learn to steer in tight quarters by using the engines e.g turning a tight circle with one running ahead and the other astern. Not sure if you have bow thrusters(?) A boat like that takes a bit of practice and skill to handle in a Marina.

  • @michelecrown2426

Wow, you certainly are on a different adventure. I know Franny will figure things out and take us along on the repairs.

  • @Jacob-eh4fx

  • @drmikettx4325

Love these videos - was a big fan of the car channel being a Porsche/Audi R8 guy. Had owned multiple power boats in the past when I lived in WV (22' - 27' boats) but nothing like the thing you have. Look forward to many more videos!

I watch Sailing doodles and Bobby is pretty awesome as a Captain and super helpful especially on Cats

  • @wernerdanler2742

Depending on how much this boat was out to sea it may require a lot of maintenance especially if the previous owner deferred it.

  • @ChuckJ1944

I've been sailing all my life (78) and I can tell you there will be a lot of "adventures" if you stick with it. A key is to know how to de-power quickly! Practice that in different weather conditions. It gets harder the more wind there is. I will miss all your Porsche stuff! Did you sell all your cars also?

  • @linkedup7346

I guess living on a boat always takes being a mechanic. If it wasn't for Franny's abilities, you'd be selling your boat and buying a Manchin in Rhode Island.

  • @duaneking2081

If you haven't watched the movie Captain Ron yet you should take time (its better with wine) and just for the heck of it toss a jacket over the side and take turns to try to recover it.... it will be a eye opener and a real good reason to use short safety lines !!!

  • @jamesaron1590

Ah, Hillsboro inlet...a bit curmudgy of a bridge operator? Yea, they dropped that bridge onto the mast of my friend's Saona... the operators had to pay for a lot of damage to the boat. Lot's of fishing boats at that inlet, there is a palpable disdain towardsslow moving "blow boats" near Pompano Beach, a fishing town from way back. FYI, that MDI issue is one of the reasons I had Yanmars installed on my former Saona. Far more reliable.
