Gotta say Roger had the most self preservation throughout the whole movie. And amazingly in an 80's horror movie, he didn't die.
Oh wow, you are correct! The token black guy made it all the way to the end, and did not die. He should be a legend among horror flicks and fans.
Omg yes I just wanted to say wow ge was one if the survivors thus must be this first film or one of where a black character didn't die first and wasn't top character. But I didn't want to sound rude in anyway. I can imagine so many overly woke people saying I'm racist just cause I pointed out a fact about the way films used to be. Then me being like ffs I'm mixed race ,and I'm only saying facts and that I'm really Impressed. ❤ I think it's awesome he was the only one with a brain and basically the hero. Yet of course the annoying can't do nothing but scream girl live too. 🙄
I'm shook 😅
right

I'm so happy you did a video on this movie! My great Uncle Hal played Stooge (Pig man) and this is his most beloved role from back in his early acting days!
Oh fuck yeah dude that sounds cool as fuck did he take any movie props home?
@lukebonky3186 I'm not sure actually. He does have a lot of fan art from it though. He meets a lot of fans at horror cons and a lot have given him stuff like artwork and whatnot over the years!
Rock on great uncle Hal 💜✌️
When your Uncle says "She needs a REAL MAN!!" Is one of my favorite lines in the film.
That's so awesome he's your uncle. You won the uncle lottery! On the other hand, I lost the uncle lottery. You know that uncle no one invites to holiday functions and, if he happens to show up, isn't allowed to be in a room alone with children? Yeah, I definitely lost that uncle lottery.
Rodger is the smartest character in the whole movie he tried to tell them that they are dealing with powers they cannot control nor do they understand.
czcams.com/video/Fn98CdDfWUU/video.html
Swear to God only B flic where the black guy doesn't die
I love how every chance Roger had he always left Judy behind to defend herself lol
Me too 😂😂😂😂 I am getting the hell out of there
czcams.com/video/Fn98CdDfWUU/video.html
Except he ultimately SAVED her, while everyone else was dead/possessed.
People always forget about Angela, but she was just as much a victim as anybody else. She didn't ask to be possessed/killed, yet nobody ever tries to reason with her or wonder about her. They just cast her off as a menace instantly.
They probably would die if they dud
Rodger:
The first brother to survive a horror movie from beginning to end.
Uhhhh day of the dead? Night of the living dead?
@@SuperBubbleduck ok, the third then 😅
In the original Night of the Living Dead, Ben is shot at the end. In the remake, he's shot by Cooper and dies overnight.@@SuperBubbleduck
Naw dude from day of the dead or the guy from thing .
@@SuperBubbleduckdude got killed at the end of the movie .
WOW! Never thought you'd ever cover this movie. This is ACTUALLY the FIRST horror movie I've ever seen. I was 4, but we don't talk about that LOL. One of my favs.
Fun Fact: A lot ppl talk about LL Cool J in Deep Blue Sea as the first black survivor in a horror film, but this came out way before Deep Blue Sea. Shout to Roger for surviving AND actively trying to escape rather than being a horny teen.
Ben gets killed at the end of Night of the Living Dead. They shoot him thinking he was a zombie.
THIS! Roger is the first black person (and only one for a while) that I ever saw survive a horror movie. It made such a huge impact that I never forgot this movie xD
@@JuJuOfTheBees oh you're right! Then it might be Roger, i dunno! Lol
@@usagifelton Same! We have a similar situation. I was born on 1993, and my mom is a huge horror movie buff, so of course she got me into them early on. Night of the Demons 2 was my first horror movie I’ve watched, and I was no older than 1-2 years old. Ah, only if we could go back in time. 🥲
The reason why the demons only wanted Judy it’s because Rodger was not part of the seance he was facing backwards when everyone was looking at the mirror .
Roger was also a bit of a coward. They probably thought Roger would let sussy die if they were to allow him.to live
I think it's related to him being the preacher's son because the possesed keep mentioning it.
Finally. Been waiting on this one for years.
The practical effects and that infamous nipple trick disturbed me for years as a child. The demon getups are absolutely terrifying if you’re young. They look so realistic for their time.
Yes indeed!
The WHAAAAT?
Yummy

There's something special about horror movies from the 80's, most of the greatest ones appear to be from that decade
Can confirm Amelia aka Angela is an Angel who walks among us! Kindest woman in the world. Was so happy to see this video posted!
czcams.com/video/Fn98CdDfWUU/video.html
Yep it's basically Evil Dead meets Hell House. With a sexy Peter Pan in it.
I had the good fortune to meet both Linnea Quigley & Amelia Kinkade at different horror conventions. Both were super-nice & fun to talk to. Mostly asked Linnea about Return of the Living Dead, but did get to also find out about how they did the lipstick in the breast scene from this movie. I asked Amelia about her dance to "Stigmata Martyr" (the Bauhaus song). She actually had started out as a dancer, & they let her choreograph the piece. She said that song almost wasn't in the film, though, because it was costly to get the rights, but she fought to keep it in since she knew it was perfect for the moment. So glad the producers saw sense, because she was absolutely right.
Linnea was at one I go to called Scarefest 2 years ago. Not sure if that's where you met her though
@@arthurkirkland1419 I've heard of that one, but never been. I met her at Monster Mania.
Stigmata Martyr is such a good song and the dance scene is crazy, good on her
Night of the Demons was one of the OG Netflix and Chill movies
The 80's truly is the greatest decade for horror. I doubt it will ever be matched.
“Stigmata Martyr”
Perfect song choice when Angela is dancing in front of the fireplace.
Roger is a prominent figure in black history. I think he deserves a holiday
I remember watching Night of the Comet as a young man and how much I could tell the story was bad but It's been my little secret that it's my guilty pleasure and I love every second watching it
Same here. 80s horror isn't about plots anyway.
You just took me down memory lane to my childhood in the 80’s THANK YOU!
Pandorum would be an excellent FoundFlix Ending Explained movie to do. Its an underrated sci-fi horror film that fully deserves one of your excellent Ending Explained/Breakdowns!!
Keep up the excellent content. 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for making these videos! I don't enjoy the experience of scary movies but I love learning about them and you explain things so well. Your flix let me watch iconic films when I normally could not😊 again, thank you. Keep up the good work!!
Miss your regular Friday uploads man. Glad you posted on Halloween and also good job
I watched when I was younger and always wondered why the story didn't make any sense. And I never knew there were sequels Thanks for the explanation.
And remake
@@dnationapocalypseIs there? I'll look into that too.
@@lonewolffang Yep. It came out 2009
Because it’s a ripoff of killer party that came out a year before
@@SuperBubbleduck another to peek my intrigue, thanks
I freaking loved this movie as a kid and I still love it today. Great vid, man. I’ll always remember loving that Rodger survived.
LOVE UR CHANNEL MAN, NEVER LET THE DVD CULTURE DIE
Got sooooooooo excited when I saw tha thumbnail. Night of the Demons is one of my all time favorite horror movies. Watched it so many times growing up. Luv this movie...from the intro to tha very end with grandma. A classic!
This is one of those movies I always saw on the video store shelves always wanted to rent but never did. So glad you cover new and old movies.
I saw this movie when I was 7 and it REALLY scared the hell out of me. It was so strange that there was other dangers like the old couple.
Holy crap I forgot all about this movie. I must of rented it a dozen times from blockbuster back when I was a kid. Thanks for this.
This is one of my favorite movies. It holds a special place in my heart as this was one of the movies my older sister and I used to watch. She passed away a few years ago and It's a nice memory.
I remember having to read a map. I am an eighties kid so thank you for doing this movie!
Thank you for doing this movie! ❤❤❤
I'm such a fan of this one. I was just talking to a friend who didn't hear about this movie at all before I mentioned it to them.
I bet I watched this 100 times as a teen. This was my jam! I rented it repeatedly from Blockbuster 😂
Same here!!! I will never understand how my parents were cool with my love of horror as a child. I guess we are the generation of neglect lolol
I have seen this movie SOOOO many times since I was a very little kid. Like 5. (Yikes, I know)😂 The lipstick in the nipple traumatized me! I always thought nipples could go inward if you pushed too hard because of this movie. Those demons have stood the test of time as far as makeup. The music, costumes, razorblades in apples, shitty boyfriend, downstairs morgue, strobe dance, survivors, and truly terrifying demons with their voices are so memorable and make this movie an absolute classic. I had nightmares for years about these demons but still rented it so many weekends at my dads that my brother eventually gifted me with a copy since he worked at Blockbuster. I think I owned it by the time I was 11 years old. I cant imagine letting my kids watch this at such a young age, but that was the 80s and 90s for us kids!😂 This movie, The Exorcist, Evil Dead, and Freddy Krueger everything are the films that catapulted me into extreme horror fandom as a young child.
Definitely ..I watched this movie since it first came out when I was 9. Fell in love with it and watched at least thousand times😅
Oh yes this movie is a Halloween must for me long live Rodger and I still have the biggest crush on Frannie.
The way he just danced away from here lmao. Another great video! Keep up the amazing work!
Happy Halloween man! Can’t wait to watch. Hope your having a great holiday. Thanks for an epic Halloween drop.
I remember loving the original Fright night and both Johnny depp and Disney version of sleepy hollow as a kid.
Wow, Rodger is an incredible character! Jumping through that glass (door?) was such a BAMF move. Love it.
OMG THANK YOU! I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS MOVIE BUT COULDN'T REMEMBER THE TITLE! I'm an October baby and I grew up watching this one year and was hooked. My mom beat my butt for watching it and I was not even teenage. Worth it!
Legit this is one of the best channels out there.
Your videos are always great. Waiting for a video on "when evil lurks".
I love your videos so much. Thank you for all the details. Sometimes I need to watch to get the ending or just see if the movie is worth a watch. Lol. Could you please review The Mill?
Are you gonna do the other parts? At least part 2? Love the video bro!!! Thanks for the nostalgia
6:06 I certainly wasn't old enough to use roadmaps by the time I was driving but I definitely remember printing off mapquest directions and reading them to my parents lol.
This was a lot of fun! More old school stuff, please! Possibly the other two movies in the trilogy?
The dance scene wit Angela in the strobe lights wit that music playin was siiiiiick!!!!
Thanks foundflix I needed a video from you today
i love it when this man uploads ❤️
Still remember the first movie I saw with Linnea in it, 'Return of The Living Dead'. "For some reason" her scenes stayed with me. IYKYK.
God I miss 80's movies.
Finnally! Thank you so much, I finally found this movie. My first ever horror. I was 5-6 years old and I was sleepless for weeks after that. I'd say it traumatised me even. Funny how goofy it looks now, but a long time ago this picture made it's way into my head. My god, I was looking for this movie to settle some bits of my childhood memory... Starting to think I've been subscribed on FoundFlix for 2 years for the sake of this exact moment, lol... And I can't recall any indecency shown here, only the scary eyes.
Thank you for doing this movie! This was a staple of my childhood!
same
Man I remember watching this with my pops as a kid Halloween. Good times. Miss my pops.
One of my favorites. Thank You!
Thank you. That was fun. I actually remember seeing that movie. Seeing this reminded me of it.
This is one of my fav all time horror movies. I don't know why. Just love it! I guess though, I am nostalgic for the 80's. I'm 41 I think.
I'm 42, I remember watching this on HBO when I was a kid. Still one of my favorites.
wassup bro luv ur vids
Omg this and part 2, we're my fav movies as a kid. I should not have been watching this at 6😂 Thank you for bringing back memories
My favorite horror movie when I was a kid! I still have the VHS and that cover art!!
Nice upload m8!
Hell yeah brother a classic. You should do 2 and 3 in one
Holy crap thank you. I remember seeing this as a kid and trying to find this movie but never knew the name. Now i can watch it again.
Happy Halloween Chris! At first I was like….”it’s not Wednesday or Sunday, why is foundflix uploading? Then it dawns on me that it’s halloween
Honestly I love your channel buuuutttt.... Your channel for me is like watching an anime... Im never patient waiting for that next vid lol. ALSO THANK YOU FOR THIS lol been waiting for this one.
I remember seeing 3 as a kid and it freaked me out and was super trippy and then I forgot about it for almost 30 years till I came across it again and found out it was a series. 1 was amazing, but 3 holds that special place for being my first in the line.
My mom introduced me to this movie and I thank her for it. She always put me on to the 80s horror
Love this movie! Can you do the 2nd and 3rd one ending explained too, please?
This was one of my favorite horror movies as a kid
You should review 1985's Demons, too!!! Love that one as well
Happy Halloween, FoundFlix! 🎃
Always loved how not only did the blackman make it. He was clutch too.
i destinctly remember the lipstick scene but could not remember what movies it was from, thank you for scratching that itch
Love this film happy Halloween 🎃
This will forever be one of my faves !
This movie is so much freaking fun! Thanks for doing this!
I love watching these videos ❤
My favorite Halloween movie. Thank you!
finally came to a foundflix vid early! Will you cover Luz (2019) that whole movie confused me
For the first time, I am early enough for a Found Flix video. No more sleeping for me
This is an all time favorite of mine since I was a kid. My mom got me started on horror movies at an early age and I remember watching this one so many times myself. May have to watch it now after seeing this😁
czcams.com/video/Fn98CdDfWUU/video.html
I'm so happy you're doing this one! I loved the movie, well the original one, if only because there was so much corniness to it. One of the dumbest scenes I remember was when Rodger and Judy (both who survived the night) are running from Stooge. They go down into the basement and see the crematorium, and damn if Judy doesn't think it's a "tunnel" they can use to escape. What's so dumb about that scene, is that Judy was around when the others were talking earlier, and one talked about how it was an old funeral home and the previous owners had cremated the maid alive. That scene always gets me, as how does someone not put things together and realize where they've run into?
Dude I love our stuff, also posting on Halloween is too cool !!
Thank you for explaining a CLASSIC 😁
Hey Chris I hope everything is going well. Anyway I was wondering if u could do V/H/S 85 cause I really need some things explained. I would really appreciate it. Thanks and keep up the amazing work.
Childhood favorite Halloween movie… soundtrack was amazing
Happy Halloween! God this movie is both goofy and scary fun.
Great video ! I would love to see a review on the new Hell House LLC i thought it was amazing and it really captured the fear like the first one.
Cover when evil lurks please!!!! Love u!!
I old enough to remember traveling with a map!)) It was super stressful when you had to travel in a biiiiiig city with all those tiny busy streets and confusing street lights. Those were the days. 😅
Also for an old movie black guy surviving to the end is very cool! Not only that but he also has sick outfit and saved the girl. Real king! 😎
I remember watching this movie back when I was a teenager and I was spending the night at my best friend's house. Every Halloween, I would spend the night at her house where her, her sister, and I would stay up all night watching horror movies, this was one of them. We also saw parts 2 + 3 too!!
@FoundFlix please do a video on "Kill List" the ending is so confusing! Big fan of your channel
One of my favorites for Halloween.
Another favorite is 2009's "Lo."
I love your background
I've always wondered what story they had to tell the police they have to explain the deaths of all their friends somehow🤷🏿♂️
Their probably still on death row right now. 😉
YES! I've loved this movie since renting it as a kid! (Because I am old enough to remember things like using maps lol.)
I remember maps, then map quest..printing out the step by step and having your co-pilot direct you. Of course you had to look at all the street signs anyway; but you could go a little while before you ‘felt like it was close’ lol the hood ol’ says
Finally watched this in 2020, I definitely enjoyed it!
10:59
Suzanne: take Angie car
Angie: what the hell are you doing?
Suzanne:chill out hon, it's your party, your not going anywhere!
Happy Halloween! Night of the Demons very classic!!!
Oh my gosh I feel so old! This movie was pure horror cheese, and we loved it!
