That Hexgrid is really cool. Just great ingenuity by 5.11. Takes PALS webbing to a whole new level. I wish they put it on the sides of the packs, for bottle bags to angle them forward...
I Love how easy this czcams.com/users/postUgkxvAj3godqGAIP5rApM1laH767JGtPG1-h carrier is to adjust from my friend to me taking turns holding the baby! It provides great support on my back too! This has definitely made shopping easier! I always get asked where I get it too!
Watched the whole 40 minutes and man, you're tempting me on getting one! Subscribed!
Great review, thanks for looking at these! Will have to do some more research to see if it will really work for me, but it is definitely intriguing.
Great detailed review! 👍🏽 I am currently waiting on my AMP 24 bag to be delivered.
Great video! I would like to see a comparison video with the other similar packs that you mentioned at the end of the video. It would be nice to see the differences between and how they stack up to each other. Thank you!
I appreciate your videos and think you give great reviews. I'm glad you said good stuff about the hex grid. I watched several Shot Show reviews and now yours. On camera i feel like it looks cheap. Big fan of 5.11 gear but I was definitely skeptical about the integrity of the grid. Also IMO the if the 5.11 MOAB 10 sling pack, and Covert 18 had a bag baby it would be my dreams coming to reality. Moab 10 is easily my favorite.... just wish it had the covert more grayman style look. Also your beard is glorious. Thanks for your reviews, seriously helps when you don't have a lot of stores that carry this stuff and you have to order a lot online.
I think the AMP 72 with the internal short rifle case could be the ultimate bug out bag, you could fit a 10/22 takedown it is sweet
Using amp 72 for hiking, gym, travel hasn’t let me down yet. 👌
I like their backpacks an pants. Another awesome review Aaron
I have the Amp72 in tungsten with the helmet shove it gearset attachment on the outside and the admin gearset that I attach inside, I love it.
Neat idea, new direction for molle
Thanks to your review I bought the AMP12 backpack for my EDC gear and I really love it. It so versatile and useful. Thank you for your video job which helps me doing the right choices in my shopping gear 💥
you recommend the amp 12 for EDC?
@@dxnger_liljoker6157 i totally recommend it! It's super comfy and quite more lowpro than my old Rush12. If you buy extra gear sets it's also very customisable. I think you won't regret it and in the case you do those kind of bags are very super easy to sell on the internet 😉
You made me buy another pack bc the gear attchment is really cool, like have swift clips for backpacks
Nice review im waiting on the All mission rig review
Fantastic
Can't wait to buy the 72!
Another great gear review
Could you run an axe behind one of the pouches on the AMP 24? It would be attached between the straps holding the pouch and surely the Velcro would add security
I really like the look of the pack but I can only get one pack and the ability to carry an axe occasionally is required
Thank you
new to your channel and I absolutely love it. thanks for all that you do. I was wondering what you thought about the Amp series vs the rush series. i’m looking to get my first tactical ish pack. do you find one better than the other overall? or is one better for edc? the other for tactical? thanks so much!!!
Man, these are awesome!! Wasn’t gonna buy another backpack for awhile, but I might have to rethink that!! Definitely agree with you. The 24 is just about right!! The 12 could’ve used some side pockets!!
Really awesome reviews video's!!!
Would it be possible to use one of the pouches to hold an axe slipped down in between the straps and held extra secure with the Velcro?
Great video and review just like always 👌👏
Nice watch bro. Love a quality square G.
Awesome videos!!!! So thankful for your videos and your ministry. Can you please help me with one question I’m battling- 5.11 Amp 24 or Vertx EDC ready backpack?
Dan C def the amp 24 !! I have the vertyx gamut. Its a great bag but the 24 is def more diverse! You can do so much more with the 24.
How long will the Hook and Loop Velcro last? Will it wear out quickly? I just bought this bag and am trying to figure out the best way to protect it. I am thinking of making another sheet of double sided velcro, and sticking that on top of the base layer. So when that wears out, I can replace it.
Really great and honest review of the gear. I'm impressed with the storage and organization capabilities of the 24 pack. I don't live anywhere close to go hiking so I am leaning towards a smaller EDC pack and honestly, for a better price and personally, a better product, both organizationally and customizability, I would rather go with the Katarra from Vanquest. I've been eyeing that pack as my EDC pack and I still think it's my best option for storage and possibly off-body carry.
Where did you get that organizer that you keep your bible and tablet in?
Now what I hope you do is a side by side comparison with the Rush 24 to see if it its time to switch
This
Not a chance lads, this thing will look shabby in a fraction of the time the Rush series will still be going strong. This is the Hipster version 😂
Just picked up the amp 24 cuz of this review.
How you finding it
can the AMP24 exterior side pockets hold a Nalgene 32oz water bottle?
Hey bro, what size are you rocking for plate carrier, I'm 5"11 and 73kgs was thinking Medium ! Was yours snug or a lil loose fitting ? Thanks man 😊
How does this pack compare to the vanquest IBEX series packs, in your opinion??
33:38. Where to buy that little organizer pouch? Make and model:)
Hey did you get an answer on this one?
Why have they still not made a decent belt for the rush/amp series!
Hi, great video, thx! great info that helped me make a decision. Gotta ask though; you say they send you the gear, does that mean 5.11 sponsors this economically? if so, I guess you should maybe state that in the beginning of the video or have a sign saying "paid promotion"? otherwise great work thank you.
Anders Bakfeldt they just sent him the pouches he paid for most of them
Hey Gideon , would you recommend the amp 24 for camera backpack? i use the rush 24 for mi dslr is really great i can hold a ruggar 34 camera bag inside but is not very confortable and a little difficult to gain acces to the camera.
Mat C hey pal, I’ve got a 24 for my camera, I use hazard 4 jelly pouches for my lenses on the hex grid rigid frame insert and it works well, as long as you have some kind of internal organiser/padding it’s real good
I cannot live without my Amp72
Do you sell your logo patches?
Hey, I was wondering can you take the AMP24 as a carry on for flights? In your opinion, it's not too big as a EDC?
I would just double check the dimensions and wouldn’t stack it too high on that back Molly panel and you should probably be good with the 24 for flights. As to Edc unless you have a lot of gear for Edc and it’s probably gonna be too big and got a find a lot of dead space in the bag.
Amp 24 or 72 for large edc/camping ?
How do we leave a message in your mailbag????
I’ll stick with my REI trail 25 it’s the perfect bag for me for edc, day hiking and good up to 2 nights in the woods. I highly recommend it. Not built as heavy duty but a lot lighter
I like the back, the velcro and buckles is a nice idea but I just can't see it being as robust or anywhere near my Rush 24. Less is more, or is it? Hmmmm
Von Sprague I have the rush 12 and 24 and it is definitely on par, if not better than the rush series IMO. If I heard correctly, these hex grids will replace the rush system and other older PALS webbing items
@@slashnagy6 I don't doubt it's good buddy, I just don't think it's as robust. I'm probably wrong though but I won't be spending my hard earned pocket money on something I don't think will last.
Von Sprague what do you define as robust? Just curious, not trying to argue
@@slashnagy6 any plastic type sheeting with eventually become more brittle and tear with use or sag. I love the quality of 5.11 gear but the RUSH series with it's cordura molle is bombproof. I have 3 24's and 2 72's in different colours with different load outs. I add and subtract pouches, ponchos, axes, etc to the outside of them depending on my activity and they perform extremely well. I can cut the stitching between molle loops to allow for a shovel or axe handle too. This is in my opinion just an attempt to create the latest "must have" to sell more packs, which let's face it is the object of the company. If people want them that's cool, if they replace all the molle to this I'll take my business elsewhere. I never thought you were arguing, we can disagree but be respectful.
Von Sprague thank you for your explanation. I see why you prefer molle. Great idea cutting the stitching for larger items as well! Take care
What does every admin gear set have velcro except mine? Did I order another variant of the pouch?
You have to remove the backing from the velcro
@@yenhan705eh77 appreciate it man. I found out like a week after I posted this. Noticed it coming off when i was making switches to my pack.

@@thatplat1 yeah it kind of depends on how often you change the gear set. But I had a couple of rush series backpacks and the velcro is very high quality and worked fine even after I gave them to my cousins.
how is the AMP 24? been looking at it.
It’s large, but good! The amp series is discontinued so I would snag one ASAP
Any other bags to recommend that is ard 30L cap?
is the 5.11 velcro long-lasting?
Yes, I have many products from 5.11 and have had them for years. No issues with velcro wearing out.
great, thank you!!!
Is there some machine somewhere in the world that's running full-tilt 24/7 that churns out these guys with the short red beards and the subdued desert tan caps with the subdued flag on them? Or maybe there's only one such guy and i just keep seeing him in every video like this?
Dude. Tactical leprechauns. All I gotta say.
That is truly such an awesome answer that i am going to share that! Rock on, brother. Please do not think that i don't support your freedom of choice to dress and appear as you wish. That is one of many things that makes this country great!
@@UnderPresser I agree 100% In fact, I have a similar color cap with similar colored flag patch so trust me, not throwin' rocks or judging in the least. I just wish I could rock a stellar beard like his!. This channel is always informative with professional, well- made videos. I'm a fan for sure!
I'm afraid, that the velcro back inside has padding, which means, that if something spills out, the material suck-in the liquid and ruin the pack.
The removable pannel is naturaly stiff but doesn't have padding, the hook and loop on the outsode of the pack is very slim by itself so I dont think it will be a long term issue

You can put your weed in there.
So sick and tired of over priced backpacks. I have the same one I carried through out my military career including an 18 month deployment. Just get an military ruck or back pack for less than 60 dollars at military surplus website or store.
you edc a bible, did I hear that right? :D
Yep
I’m adding one to my edc AMP24.
@@BT_Spanky why? Oo
Just something about having The Word within close proximity just in case you need a boost in faith or morale...
@@BT_Spanky Never heard that before, but hey if it helps who am I to judge
@@Doko88 when I was in Iraq in 2005 I always carried a Bible in my main pack. Whenever we had some down time during an operation outside of the wire I’d read my Bible to help me calm my nerves and accept whatever I couldn’t change.
