My first technical review. IK multimedia iRig Pro Duo I/O is 2in/out audio interface with midi in/out. It's compatible with iOS, Android, Windows and OSX. Damn I missed this video at the time, but you convinced me to buy the iRig Pro Duo I/O, so I hope you get a commission as a result, and I have to thank you profusely because I have been recording with Loopy HD and already I am recording far more than I did on my pedal loopers. And with so much control. and once recorded they can be sent to my email and downloaded to my Desktop PC, from my iPad. But finally I think your comedy is awesome. Please make more videos.

I have a foot pedal and didn’t know I could use it to turn effects on and off. Interesting...
In case you have a keyboard or a controller, it must have a pedal in and usb (or midi output) connection. Check the manual to verify the midi-cc (control change) number of the pedal input. Make sure that such device transmit this midi-cc out and assign that midi-cc number to the effect you want to control. Done.
Have a question, Can I get the direct monitor trough both headphones and LR outputs ??? I need it to send my microphone to the main mixer to play live but also would like to monitor my self playing. Please help !!!
Yes, the signal goes to both line and headphones output...but remember to disable direct monitoring from your hd recording software.

I've nover done a live streaming with IG but I suppose you should be able with no issue. Just make sure that the software you're going to use, will allow you to have two mono (so called "dual mono") input and set the balance to the centre. No stereo input!
I'm having a huge issue and can't find the answer. I just bought one of these and plugged in my Sure SM7B direct into the iRig and went to the iPhone 12 pro video to shoot it and it's only capturing one side. As in, I can only hear the audio in one headphone coming out of the iPhone direct to my air pods. I then thought the input may be damaged, switched to the second and of course now, the sounds is only coming out of the other ear. I've tried changing the sound setting on the ipHone camera to mono and stereo and neither work. Still goes to one side only. And I cannot find ANY information online about how to fix this. It can't be possible that I need to record with 2 mics to get the both sides of the audio! HELP!

@@WhenItCliks Have you had a look in to the iPhone camera setting instead of the sound settings? When you said that you could "only hear one headphone coming out", were you talking about the direct monitoring or the recording as well?
@@iamlate5964 I have. Nothing changes. And no, the direct monitoring is coming in on both sides. I was told by someone else that apparently the iPhone itself is the limitation and the camera app doesn't allow for the signal to come in on both sides so it seems I may have to purchase another app to do this, which is what I was trying to avoid but it seems I have no choice. I feel like this is a huge flaw in the iphone and I think iRig should tell people this before the purchase. This is obviously a huge issue for non techy people like me trying to just find the simplest solution and the simplest solution isn't even accessible. But that's that! Thanks for your help!
@@WhenItCliks I'm investigating a bit, but the quickest solution I can give you is: if you download Mpeg Streamclip to your windows/mac, it's free, you can convert your video from one channel to dual-mono. It should be quite fast. Let me know

Hi yohanzo, I had chance to test it with OSX 10.13, ios 13.7 and ios 14.3 and I had no issue whatsoever. As it is a standard USB 2in/2out it shouldn't have any problem: if you own a USB speaker or microphone you can test them before to buy the iRig and you should probably get the same outcome in term of compatibility. If I were you, I'd rather worry about softwares and plugins compatibility. In case you still have chance do not install os 11 yet: most professionists don't usually update to the last released OS (both win or mac). Let the manifacturers test compatibility ;)
@@iamlate5964 thank you for your response! It was a great deal (80usd). So, I took a gamble. Happy to report: it works perfectly with macOS 11 in Ableton Live and Garageband on my 2013 Macbook Pro. :D

@@iamlate5964 hi thanks for your response! I have a question about the battery time. If you use 2 normal AA batteries, how much recording time can you get? I have a irig HD2, it takes power from usb but it's draining my iphone battery like crazy 😦
@@xiashafrogfat Hi Sha, even the AA batteries drain quite fast. All pro equipment drains batteries fast unless they have proprietary expensive batteries (look at camera or mobile batteries) otherwise they need more than two AA batteries to last more then 3/4 hours. Think this equivalence { long-last } = { big battery } = { not pocket-size }. It's always like this.
Should the cable apply midi-to-usb?
Hi dear, not very clear what you're asking: it has a midi in/out and the midi signal pass through the USB cable that the interface use for connecting to the computer (or mobile). In your DAW it will be detected as a iRig midi in/out. Please let me know if I'm not clear. Thanx for watching!
@@iamlate5964 I mean the type of USB plugged into the unit is not common. No replacement in Indonesia. Other than that, the unit is great - like the way you review it.
One thing I find disappointing about this device is that it won’t work unless connected to a computer, phone, or tablet. I realize that’s its intended use, but I was hoping to sometimes also use it as a standalone battery operated two channel mixer.
Hi Astronaut, it could be a good idea. I hope #IKMultimedia is watching us :D even if, to be honest, I had 10/15 audio interfaces (some very expensive!) and only an old Maudio Firewire had the feature that you mentioned.

Hi Tom, theoretically can be USB powered, but there's not spec from the manifacturer about the power (amp) needed. For providing 48v phantom, 2XAA battery or a power supply 9VDC - 500mA is mandatory

Hi, if you’re sure 100% that you’re never going to record stereo source (a keyboard/synth, stereo mic configuration…) go for the non-Duo. It’s smaller and you’ll save 1/3 of the cost. Thanx for watching anyway aLx 🙏
