      Definitely an awesome video. Have you tried the Audiobox iTwo? The cool thing about that one is you can get an interface that you can use on iOS and plug in a usb portable charger get 48v (so no batteries) or you can plug it into a laptop. Though it’s $50 more, it’s also bigger than the ok pro io and the pres aren’t as great as say an ID44, worth checking out though for portability.

    Awesome review!! I use the Amplitude Ampeg Collection for my bass guitar amp sounds. Just think that 20yrs ago that iRig device wasn't possible but now the technology for recording mixing mastering and producing has grown by leaps and bounds. I cannot wait to see what the next 20yrs will hold.

    Pretty handy device. This shows how old I am but I have recorded into an old cassette recorder while traveling and ended up using some of what I recorded. Actually, the reason I wanted to try that in the first place is that I had read somewhere that both Jumping Jack Flash and Street Fighting Man, by the Stones, were partly recorded on cassette then transferred to tape reels to be finished. Both of those songs have a unique and totally awesome sound to them. If that story is true it is likely that recording to the cassette contributes in a big way towards that sound.

    • @Producelikeapro
      @Producelikeapro  Před 6 lety +2

      I hear you Sean! I carried a cassette player for years! The iPhone did change everything for me!! I know that Portable Reel To Reel recorders were used on some Stones songs, hadn't heard the Philips Compact Cassette was being used, I know it was released around 63/64 and came very popular by 68, so it's quite possible! Thanks for the great comment!

    iRigs are stellar!.. my travel writing rig for about three years is an iPad Air, iRig2 with a JBL Clip2 which represents Mids really well. I use Bias Amp into Jam Up Pro with has a 8 track recorder, looper and sampler built in. for little money its an amazing sounding little writing rig that fits into a very small backpack no problem......Love iRig

    I wanted one of these a few years ago, with my iphone 4, but still haven’t gotten one. I have used the voice recorder on my iphone a few times in the hotel to quick sing some idea for me to work on later.
    Also have done a lot of nestling my iphone in pillows and playing acoustic into it. Generally don’t have my guitar in the hotel though. I’d also like a travel guitar. My acoustic made it before in the cloak closet of a Braniff flight, but that was many years ago, even in luggage storage of a Trailways bus, I feel like it would instantly be demolished today, on anything but a car road trip.

  • @StewartWhite
    @StewartWhite Před 6 lety +3

    We recently added a little music room at work, and someone had them order an iRig HD to act as the effects pedals for the little amp and electric guitar set up. I've messed around with it, though I find the additional downloadable pedals in Amplitube to be rather expensive. I still purchased a few, and it does have some decent sounds. The iRig Pro I/O is definitely intriguing.

    'Made in Italy' - Yeo! As Ms. Ciccone used to say: 'Italians do it better';) Cringy jokes aside, I'm glad to see IK and other companies growing. If you're into synths and keyboard, don't forget to check also other IK products like Syntronik and Sampletank - there are a few nice video with Jordan Rudess out there demoing the sounds.
    It does sound good - I'll have to try Amplitude one more time with my Ibanez and look for a bundle deal, besides this nice giveaway.

    Unfortunately I purchased the iRig HD 2 - brand new from an Apple store. So far it has been a total waste of too much time and money.
    It can't be registered, therefore I cannot access Amplitube 4; when plugging the iRig into the iMac (via USB) and into the guitar amp, it produces an earth loop which makes the guitar amp unusable in any sense - especially unable to record from.
    The iRig does not come fully loaded with any guitar sounds or effects - all are an additional extra that need to be downloaded to your computer - but are useless if the iRig cannot be registered!!!
    Dealing with IK Multimedia support is like trying to communicate with an iceberg - a cold, distant exercise in total futility!
    So what was the point of this clip? To tell us how remarkable this unit is? Forget it - it's garbage.
