- hi everyone! sorry this video is going up so late!! this past week has been super busy but I am back!! this video is my moving into my barcelona, spain apartment, my first day at my new place, organizing and unpacking, grocery shopping, and a tour of my new room!

hi guys!! in this move in vlog, I unpack all my suitcases (finally), build my last pieces of furniture, grocery shop, and rearrange my room and give a little tour!! my next video’s will show more of my life here in barcelona, as this one is mainly focused on getting my apartment together but thank you all so much so much for watching, it really means so much! 🤍 (BTW: the shelf I bought is not upside down, the four circles are actually on both sides of the shelf so not sure if it’s a defect or what!)

I vote to put up the box above the desk! Maybe you could put a plant on top which could cover the unpainted portion, so you wouldn’t have to go through the hassle of having it painted.

You should get a cork board above your desk where you can pin things, photos etc.
You could put up some prints to cover the unpainted wall.

If there's an Ametller Origen in your area, definitely grocery shop there. It's like the catalan version of Trader Joe's and their produce is very fresh and high quality. Coming from a catalan person that misses Trader Joe's sooo much lol
I love you setup before and now 😭 I was thinking you could’ve put the 3 shelves in the corner in between the wardrobe and desk to utilize that space. Since the drawers are pull out it seemed like there was enough space for that on camera. I also thought the desk would give you better sunlight on the other side because now it seem like it’ll hit you from behind. I know some people do their makeup in the bathroom but that was just my thought process 😭
Either way your room look great. It’s so amazing seeing you put together little by little ❤️. Your message at the end was so cute 🥺
I was also thinking if you could start to add the location of where you go in case people want to visit if they travel there. I know some people may not like that because you are living there so it may be a safety thing, but just an idea.

I've just had a question in mind, how do you do to keep in touch with your friends at home? if you're still friends with them obviously. Am someone who get attached too much to people so i find it hard to be away. I would appreciate a piece of advice from you.

Zénagui Méliza I set up facetime calls a lot!! I find it really helps to catch up on everyone’s lives and stay in touch!!
Maybe if you got a big print or poster (especially a map! and if you got it like a vintage-y map it would match the neutral tan tones of your decor really well) to go over your desk it would cover most of the unpainted area

okay there goes me the annoying (new) subscriber - i have to ask u smt truly out of curiosity. why do you put so much effort into buying new furniture to the apartment if u r not going to stay in it for a long time (i guess. long time for me is a couple years)? i feel like a lot of europeans tend to look for nice rooms/flats to rent because they don't want to spend money on furniture because they know they will move out (especially student and young singles). it is rather uncommon for us to buy any furniture if it's not the flat we're going to buy bc u have to either store the old furniture somewhere or throw it away and leave the new one after you move out of the flat. btw i'm not talking about necessary things such as the desk obv. and i'm not trying to be offensive i'm just curious about your point of view since it's kinda new to me. and i know some people just need things like that bc they want to feel good in the flat but it still kinda seems like a waste of money to me 😥
hi thank you for the question! this apartment didn’t come furnished with very much storage, so if I didn’t buy a closet or shelf, I honestly wouldn’t have anywhere to put all of my clothes I brought. IKEA had the most affordable options and I don’t feel I bought anything that was too unnecessary. also I am staying here for about 2 years and afterwards, I will sell the furniture so it won’t be a waste of money. at least in other european countries that I’ve lived in (and also in america) it’s pretty common for people to sell furniture when they move out so I won’t be throwing it away or anything like that! hope this helps! 😊
