I’m curious if you have experienced any weight gain eating foods like this in Germany? I’m not implying you look big or different! I’m just curious with all the bread, butter, deli meats, and decadent desserts if it has impacted you personally? I’m moving there, and this looks so good, but I have to be really careful about gaining weight.

Clearly not the "usual day". As a German my daily routine would actually be -> Get woken up by the alarm clock way before you'd actually like to have gotten up. Gobble down some quick breakfast (toast, buns or müsli) and take a shower, go to work -> be there for 9 hours. Come home, do some shopping in your local supermarket / chores at home. Heat up some ready meal or order food, watch some TV / streaming service or play video games for a few hours -> go to sleep. Rinse and repeat. Get promoted -> spent 10 instead of 8-9 hours at work but drive there in a better car and watch TV on 75 instead 55 inch TV in a bigger apartment. Buy the Bio (organic) stuff to convince yourself you are better than other people, instead of the store brand. Rinse and repeat. Now that sounds grim and repetitive, but I actually like my work and the poeple I work with. But whenever I see someone carefully cooking a wonderful breakfast, I can't help but think that they have probably never done an actual day of work contributing to the society that feeds them in their lifes 😀 And yes: I am a bit jealous, because that looked delicious.
