So when you pay for an apartment or anywhere to stay, you aren't just paying for the sq. meters of sq. footage. You have to factor in the area and amentities. So that sq meters for that price is not ideal but for that area that is central located? It is like that almost anywhere.

Most of us make 1000-1300 euros, if we're lucky, because ever since covid getting a permanent contract is very difficult :(

I do think is quite expensive, you do have two big balconies which add value, and is very good location, and I live in Barcelona and I know prices are crazy high, but still... I think this is a lot of money for an apartment that "big"/"small". But again, happy for you to be able to afford this!

I'm from Barcelona and I don't know anyone who could afford that rent, since most ppl makes about 1000€/month. It's so expensive for what it is, rents are crazy here. I was "lucky" that the 3 apartments I lived in downtown Barcelona were around 650-750€/month, although they were all quite old and small, especially the 1st one which was a studio. The 2nd one was an attic as well, in Via Laietana, next to Barcelona Cathedral and that was the best one, with a giant terrace and amazig views of all the city, from the sea to the mountains
@Katye Dyakova (we have a lot of digital nomads and other high salary/tech profiles and people working for the goverment who have been there for ages, so maybe that rises it?) i assure you not a lot of people make it to 2000 euros a month...

One of the reasons the price is so high is also because of the location! If I lived even just 10 minutes further from where I live now prices would decrease a lot more

Quite expensive for what you get, you should pay 1500 max per month. Maybe it's because you got for short term, but you get something with long term contract and then leave after 6 months with 1 month notice period.
Someone is rich here😆, tbh the decorations are pretty ugly for that price you are paying, I rent with my partner even a bigger apartment with a great location with super nice decoratio for 1800

She made $86,000 in 2021 (you can watch her video of breaking down her sources of income). Most of the influencer clients are U.S. companies who pay much more that Spanish companies 🤷♀️

I've lived in BCN on and off for 11 years, know it well.. The kitchen, like most in Spain, is terrible. Certainly not the heart of the home as they are typically very narrow and long cuntrywide. Like most apartments in Spain, rooms are oblong insteadof square, like we typcailly have in the states. I'lltake square anyday!!! Your mom is right .... the rooms are really small, generally. Love the two outdoor spaces, and you are in Eixample .... fantastic.

ngl the apartment seems very nice and centrally located but 2300€ for 53 sq meters!? Barcelona landlords have completely lost their minds, in other cities in Spain you can pay 500-600€ for that
it´s not just barcelona´s landlords though, in my opinion it's also the people that come to this city and think "oh, this is an acceptable price" without taking into consideration what people living and working here are getting pay in average. so it's both an issue with landlords' greed and with expats' big money (plus their lack of empathy and social awareness), which makes the rest of us move out because we cannot afford to compete with foreign salaries.

that's not a 2,300 Euros apartment at all, i'd pay 1500 max lol wtf. It's not the painting making the room dark, but the wall colors. You can get dryed real plants, they make some very beautiful bouquets and they last forever.
