Every November, Northern India experiences some of the most dangerous air pollution levels in the world. Typical pollution sources like car exhaust, construction dust, and industry emissions are partially responsible, but there is another factor that makes Delhi's air deadly. A policy was enacted in 2009 and it is wreaking havoc on the lungs of residents in India's capital city. To learn what it is and what's being done to stop it, make sure to watch the video above.

It's not exactly farmers who cause its. It's when stubble burning air reacts with the urban pollution and many other circumstances altogether. We can't be lazy and simply blame them. Since they only have week to harvest they previous crops and sow the seeds of next ones, they can't wait for it decompose. Farmers have asked government to provide solid solutions but they haven't given any yet. Remember that same pollution hits their states first.

Oh dude- what should a farmer do? Its not our choice. Rice ain't a native crop to punjab and haryana. It was brought to feed rest of the country. Plus if we leave the stubble as it- the next crop's yeild reduces by 40% ! . If we want to get it collected and sent to an electricity generation plant, they say they are overstocked already. And doing this also reduces the already narrow profit margins. What is the choice??? To change crop? No other crop is bought by FCI . Everything from Tubewells to chemicals was brought by the Centre government under the name of Green Revolution when they needed us . Now that other parts of country are becoming fairly good at food production. all blame goes to punjab and haryana . the centre govt doesn't want to help out with this issue. and this is not in Farmer's hands. That is why penalising farmers was not an option.

Even if there is no smog we get very dense fog during winter(for more than a month) the visibility will be just as bad as in the video . So our choice is to stop travelling or driving for more than one month or to drive threw fog or smog . Tbh it takes years of experience to drive through smog or fog that driver was cleary not good . I personally use yellow lights and low speed amd always focus on the vehicle infront.
Since it was the main highway vehicle tends to be in speed thats why it happened apart from drivers fault .

See India's farmer protest. If goverment today's back up than no reform would take place in agriculture sector in future again for the fear of loosing vote. Sadly even Greta is supporting these protests which also demand unbanning of stubble burning.
