Hey! So... This is insanely hilarious to me. I was actually that kid who's Grandma gets shot because we were, and I quote, "of no value... on the streets". Being on the set of a Neil Breen movie was honestly a fantastic experience looking back. Neil himself is... A person. It was clear even to me, as a child, that the amount of direction in this film was concurrent with the amount of direction a rock has sitting on a flat surface. It was so unprofessional that Neil totally forgot one scene we were supposed to do and called us all the way back out into the desert (This was shot out in the desert here in Vegas, where I still live) to shoot the scene, and then we never got paid extra. Loved the video!
Maybe Neil Breen isn't the best film maker but his films are a reflection of society. They're relatable. Who among us hasn't gotten lost by the border with our black niece who is unexplainably the same age as us?

You know mark, you started out kinda just telling about weird things that happen in bad movies, but you've become an excellent and thoughtful film critic over the years.

I love Neil's movies. When it comes to bad acting, I honestly think he takes the cake. When I watched this one, I could totally tell by the way he carried himself, he really thought it was going to be his magnum opus. The production value is a bit higher, he tries (tries) to show some subtlety, like when he gives that little cheeky smirk to the girl who calls him "weird". Like "yeeeaah look at this deep banter". Being a bum who shoots up, then being God yet again. Two roles, give this man an award. I love em. Though I do have this strange feeling his movies are for money laundering.
Yeah, it seems to me that he knows that his movies are so bad they're good, and keeps up the "I'm totally legit" facade. I mean, he consistently follows tropes of bad movies like exposition in all the wrong places, pointless sex scenes, and acting so bad you couldn't find it in a B movie.

It's usually really sad when a little kid dies in a movie, especially a violent death. But I busted out laughing when it happened here. The terrible acting, the "special effects", the nonsensical cut from the gunfire to the boy apparently resting peacefully with no blood or signs of trauma. Everything about it is comedy gold and it actually lifted my spirits in these trying times.
The part where they are screaming at each other saying, you are done! No, you are done! It sounds like a yelling match between Drax and Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy LOL!

It's usually really sad when a little kid dies in a movie, especially a violent death. But I busted out laughing when it happened here. The terrible acting, the "special effects", the nonsensical cut from the gunfire to the boy apparently resting peacefully with no blood or signs of trauma. Everything about it is comedy gold and it actually lifted my spirits in these trying times.

I loved the "Neil wanders in the desert and pontificates on the nature of life" scenes. My friend and I had to pause the movie for a full five minutes after the "when I am at that centre in you..." monologue because we couldn't stop laughing.
