#1 Skill You Are Missing To Hit Your Irons Pure Every Time

- This is a recent lesson with Phil who came to me struggling with his irons. Phil wasn't hitting them as high, straight or as far as he wanted and when he got into he longer irons he wasn't seeing any more distance, i'm sure many of you can relate. It just a short space of time we changed all that and made some incredible changes
Phil, like many, had some good ideas about what he wanted to do, but some of the concepts were off and he was making some mistakes which were really costing him, in this lesson you will see how we were able to quickly get to the real cause of his issues and we used some really simply drills to make the changes Phil needed.
At the end of the session Phil was hitting hit irons higher, straighter and longer than before and he also saw the extra distance that he wanted from his long irons.
You may well be struggling with some of the same things as Phil, so sit back, enjoy and I really believe that there is plenty that you can pull out any apply to your own game

You asked the other day which content we preferred, this is exactly what those among us with higher handicaps need. Thanks for the free lesson đđ» I need them
Thanks Steve appreciate the feedback, certainly more like this planned going forwards
This lesson is absolute gold, fair play to Phil for nailing it in such a short space of time.
Testament to Chris being a great coach..!!
Thanks so much đđ
Great Job Chris !
Thanks đ
If I ever win the lottery, I'll fly you in for personal lessons. Until then I will continue these GREAT lessons and understanding online. Tyvm
Thanks Dave
Nice one again Chris, thanks for the lesson đ
Thanks Phil
The bounce issue really resonates with me, my PW 52° is just standard as it was part of the set from Mizuno, but I bought the 56° with 14° of bounce, then I've got a new 60 ° full face for all those shots around the greens, this club has 8° of bounce because predominantly the club will be opened up and /or forward of centre a little.
Hi Chris, another great drill. Thank you. Itâs a positive sign when you hear a response to any change as âdifferentâ. Meaning, a little bit of insecurity, however a willingness to at least give it a go especially when you can convince said player, backed with numbers and more importantly a comparison with other real world examples and feelings. Love it!
Thanks Marcus, never easy making a change for anyone, but he did great. Thanks for watching
@@ChrisRyanGolf Hi Chris, the issue is due to the facts that all humans for the better or worse have inherent difficulties with change. You, my friend, are a great example on how to implement change for the better. đ
Okay sir Chris OnPoint as usual.. 10 out of 10 explanation......
Thanks đđ
Another great lesson youâve given Chris
Thanks Geoff
Inspirational. It really makes you wonder what to expect to get of a golf lesson. Im sure not all students are that adaptive and it also varies depending hcp level, but it was quite the change he performed.
Yeah agreed, some definitely respond better to changes than others, plus also some need a lot more time to make the changes, but he did great as you say
Well done Chris đ đ
Thanks Roy
I struggle with the gapping between 7, 6 and 5 . Definitely not 10 to 15 yards between each. Looks like this is a lesson that i need.
Yeah I think quite a few struggle to see any real gaps there, really hope this does help đ
@ChrisRyanGolf is it the case that as the irons get longer, the club head speed needs to increase? Or is it that the correct technique will deliver the gapping at the same club head speed?
Thanks in advance
You can hear how much crisper his contact is
So true, definitely a different sound off the face, great to see
great. what handicap is he?
Thanks, pretty sure he said 9 or around that number
@@ChrisRyanGolf wow - It will be great to see how much his handicap improves after that lesson
I'm sorry, but I can't hear anything. There has to be a way for CZcamsrs to check the integrity of the audio or calibrate the audio before making the video.
Iâm pretty sure the audio is ok on this video. When you play is it too quiet, no audio at all??
@@ChrisRyanGolf it was too quiet, I tried adjusting the volume, other CZcams videos were much louder but this one was still very quiet, which led me to assume it was your video. I'll try it again.
Definitely worth trying again as Iâve just watched it and certainly not low, I watched the advert before the and it was the same volume as that
