I just completed my adu last month....I called the gas company to upgrade. They came did an audit, and I received a new meter the same time

Thanks for the info. The property where I’m building a JADU Garage conversion was built in the 80’s. The gas meter looks old and beat like your old one. Should I just request an upgrade now even though I’m barely starting with my JADU? The main dwelling is getting an upgrade from a traditional gas water heater to a Rheem 9.5 GPM tankless gas water heater. The JADU will get an electric tankless water heater.

Joel, Are you adding other gas appliances, like range, dryer, fire place? If not, it doesn't sound like you really need the upsized meter. You're trading out your existing water heater and using electric for the JADU.

We just passed the final inspection, we called the planner they said it not showing on the system do you guys know how long this will take ?
