This video changed my life. When you spoke on society pushing celebrity culture and the idea that we should strive to be "celebrated by millions", I realized that this is a reason I have the dreams that I have. Thank you for speaking on this issue. Hearing them validated, I now feel let go from these expectations.

We are sold a life we are “supposed” to live and too many people fall into line. Staying true to yourself, really paying attention to when you feel your best and what you really want for your future is so important! Nobody knows what’s best for you except for YOU. I’ve been binging your videos lately, thanks for putting out such great content!

I don't believe in having a purpose, I think we just are, that's it. I don't look for a purposeful life any more, I feel that just consumes our minds too much. We just are, and find contentment in that. I'm much more happy with that way

You know, I totally understand this line of thinking as well. And for me, I think I came to the conclusion that some people are meant to spend more time ‘being’ and show others what that looks like; So others can remember how to tap into that side of themselves. In my opinion, that then becomes their purpose. We all need an example of what what ‘being’ looks like from time to time. Or else we’d drive ourselves mad always trying to be purposeful. As I mention in the video, there is no purpose that is too big or small. Also, does simply being really truly exist? Anyone truly happy just being for the longterm? I think most of us want to impact the world around us in some way. Whether in a big or small way. I think you gave me another video topic. Great discussion. Thank you!

It is interesting you brought this topic up because I thought of Cheslie the 2019 Pageant winner recently and the pressures of what society expect women to be and seeing her accomplish so much and be so unhappy that led to death. People were quick to talk about mental health, but it also could be focusing on what brings you joy outside of peoples influences or work on a project that would be meaningful to you. I also think humor in life kind of breaks the thought of what is going on life

You know, I actually filmed this video before her passing. It just goes to show that people are truly hurting right now. I was so saddened by her passing. What a horrible loss. She was very involved in community work also. Now more than ever I feel we have to speak out about mental health and normalize it. I think doing this can help many.

This is great thank you 🧡 my life has seemed to never be the “normal” path. I find the less time I spend on social media, the better. Simplicity works for me. I get real FOMO and distracted easily. It’s easy to see what’s on the surface and think you want that, but purpose comes from much deeper.

We use the word "purpose" all the time. It's fairly well defined as "the reason for something's existence" or as "the intent of the creator/maker/doer of something". Nature doesn't have reasons for existence nor does nature have intentions so purpose requires intelligence. The purpose of our lives both requires and assumes God.
Many people reject God and still want purpose. The best they can do is to find something to do in life that will produce a feeling of having a purpose.

@@MindyourSociety I truly do appreciate the opportunity to voice my opinions in a civil discourse.
If we reject the idea of a Creator, then purpose is entirely imaginary and trying to find it is self deception. But if we accept the idea of a Creator, that changes everything. Clearly our Creator has put the need for purpose into our human nature to point us to Him. He has given us great gifts of life, love, compassion, a desire for mercy and justice, abilities and passions. He clearly is a good and personal Creator. And we ought to seek Him. And that, my friend, is our purpose in life. And we seek Him by trying to love our neighbors for where love is, there God is also. It is a purpose worthy of our lives.
