Rogue Tower is a tower defense game with roguelike elements and a continuously expanding path which you can influence. Unlock, build, upgrade, expand, defend.

Love your rouge tower content, definitely has helped me improve at the game! keep it up!
Rouge is a great colour!
Your videos helped me to understand some mechanics of the game. Thank you so much for the content. No fancy intro and direct to the point.
i really do enjoy and look forward to these videos. im glad the game references you. its well deserved.
Great game you got some really good RNG on the mini bosses dropping chests early and often!
Would love to see your card selection. Starting full houses is super rare. Super lucky with card draws. Houses depend on how much cards you unlock and the more you unlock the lousier your draws will possibly be. Thanks for the vid but i've seen so many RT videos and never do they discuss their selection of cards. I refuse to believe that you have "everything" unlocked and then get so lucky with the RNG
Hey there, are you going to update your rogue tower mods? If not what file do you edit to make changes and whats a good program to do so? Thank you kindly for any help!
Great video! How do you feel about mana siphons? Seems like they are relatively cheap for mana output. Another observation (and I might be wrong), if you have progress as any of the priorities, all priorities below it should be irrelevant because the weapon will always target the enemy closest to the tower. Only if two enemies are tied for closest would it go to the next priority, which should rarely happen. There are times where you select another priority under progress, and I believe that wouldn't have any effect.
I would love some vids or streams about isle of arrows, thatll be awesome (love ur content
I do have a bunch from when it was first released. Gonna make a video on the new builder type at some point!
I've heard you mention in a few videos chopping trees to build haunted houses, and I wasn't sure what made sense. My gut was saying wait a lot longer to chop trees, so I did some math in a spreadsheet. I believe the trees give you the level # squared in gold, so level 15 is 225g, 25 is 625g, 35 is 1225g, 45 is 2025g etc. so the scaling is pretty ludicrous at higher levels. Essentially it depends on what HH rate you have, what your max tower health is, and what level you intend to chop trees otherwise (and then just put that money into towers). Math also assumes an infinite # HH, you hold all HH until level 45, then sell them all to recoup the investment. Of course there are a finite # of HH and they stop spawning at some point (long before level 30 I think) so where the math says it makes the most profit to convert trees to HH (generally level 30+), it's likely not even an option unless you haven't built the ones that spawned way earlier.
TL;DR: It can make sense, but it's pennies unless you wait until at least level 30+ to do it, and actually loses you money if you do it too early (generally before level 20). I wouldn't bother, just keep the trees until the highest level possible to maximize the gold they give. I can share the spreadsheet if you want.
A few examples for chopping a single tree:
1) Tower health 20, HH rate 0.4 (no seance), compare to chopping at lvl 40: Convert trees to HH at level 27 is the first positive return and only gives you 137g extra. Convert at lvl 34-39 gives maximum return in the range of 500-600g extra (it goes up and down a bit in there).
2) Tower health 30, HH rate 0.55 (one seance), compare to chopping at lvl 40: Convert trees to HH at level 18 is first positive return, gives 60g extra. Convert at lvl 25 gives 1005g extra. Convert at lvl 30-39 gives max return in range of ~1500g extra.
3) Tower health 30, HH rate 0.65 (two seance), compare to chopping at lvl 40: Convert trees to HH at level 18 is again first positive return, gives 325g extra. Convert at lvl 25 gives 1365g extra. Convert at lvl 30-35 gives max return of ~1900g extra.
>> If you are intending to wait until lvl 44/45 to chop trees, then shift all of these numbers back another 5ish levels for where early conversion to HH starts to give you a positive return. Also the max benefit for conversion is reduced like 25-60% (depending on seance level).
Nice thanks for doing this. Yeah as well the trees can pay back their cards + some if you wait to depending on tree RNG vs haunted houses that cost ~4 cards. There are a few games I got like 50-70 tower health though. Sort of feels like the new tiles, especially on splitsville, you end up with less iron or at least less open spots on the iron for mines.
The other question is universities, do you sell/chop to get those upgrades going earlier but that depends a lot on shrine RNG.
Yeah good point, going heavy into mines makes it profitable earlier, albeit without accounting for the money put into mines. I should do that math too, as it isn't cheap.
The golden forest cards have been phenomenal on a few runs, like the zero meta and some non-MoM runs. If I still have 6-8+ trees at lvl 35 I'll start snagging those 2 cards, they pay back and then some with like a max 90% chest chance at lvl 44/45.
University research is a very compelling argument, as that requires time. By lvl 30 if you got more of them than you can fund, I think chopping is a good use.
FWIW I think the least/least/least should be neardeath/most life. least/least/least too likely to hit something that would die to dot before next shredder blade.... I think....
If neardeath takes current dot into account that would make sense. Otherwise I am not sure about the difference
random tidbit. if the 5% health boosts are exponentially applied rather than linearly applied, taking nothing but those eventually results in almost x9 health by the final wave.
I think it's a linear progression. Because it says "an additional 5%" not "multiplied by 5%"
Love the video! What mod is it that guarantees 8 houses around the tower?
You get from maxing all the upgrades I think - or maybe from beating 3 ways?
Yes helo please
I refuse to believe no one noticed how close the starting roads were to a bad symbol
