  • This is the evolution of the Apple Macbook! Launched for the first time in 2006, the first Macbook was quite massive, but its functions sparked the interest of many people. So Apple continued to launch new models that are more and more efficient and modern. MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro were laptops for everyone's needs, and for Apple fans, they completed the Apple ecosystem for a much easier use of all Apple devices. Now, the latest Macbook came in 2022 with the new Apple M2 processor and is proof of the longevity and evolution of the entire series of Macbooks from Apple.

Last Year, MacBook Pro 2021 was a Monster Laptop that just Slaps any Windows Laptops even Older Gen MacBooks
Well, I was between Happy and Hate with that Laptop. Happy cause they brought back the iconic Pro MacBook before. Hate because some limitations that make me think if Windows Laptop still good option
I personally was excited with MacBook Pro 2016 that was thin, light and All USB C that make it looks sleeker. It was almost define the Future of Laptops

I had one of those 2016-2018 models. They were not the future of laptops. The thin and light design made the fans chug like crazy because they had no space to include more exhaust. The All USB C led to me paying for additional hubs just for the most basic of functions like an External HD to store large video files on. The Touch Bar and Butterfly Keyboard especially were abysmal. That's not the future of laptops.
I got the Pro for something functional, something powerful. Not something sacrificing function for being light and thin. But that's what the 2016-2018 (Arguably 2019 too) models were. Sacrificing function for form.

MacBook Pro 2021 model kinda like Apple step back to the 2015. And personally, this just make me think "So, what's the point of the Thin and Light MacBook Pro 2016, then?"

The point was people hated it, they were littered with technical issues (Overheating was common, screen connections failed leading to backlight malfunctions, the keyboard for the 2016-2018 models sucked, the Touch Bar constantly had software failings which killed the ability to use standard function keys or Escape AT ALL, etc etc..). Making the Function Keys and Escape dependent on another layer of software is an inherently dumb idea, because Software always can and WILL fail at some point.
The MacBook Pro is meant to be functional and productive. The 2016-2018 models were not, and even the 2019 model, while much improved thanks to a better keyboard, physical escape key, and no more screen malfunctions, still lacked functional ports and the touch bar was still a problem compared to real function keys.
The 2021 model going back to what worked for the MBP from the 2000s to 2015 was a good step, and they still kept the innovations that were good, like replacing USB A with USB C and Touch ID. They also FINALLY improved the camera, after the camera was basically the same from 2012 all the way to 2020. Most importantly, it's functional. If you want something thin and light, you can always get the 13" model of the Pro (Which is still reminiscent of the 2016-2019 versions) or the Air (Which has made strides in being a genuinely great option even for higher-end tasks).
