The G3 looks so futuristic for its time. I almost feel like it could be a reasonable design for a PC even for today.

i had the 2012 imac slim as a kid. great computer-nothing ever crashed, every high end game i had ran smoothly

i still have 2009 imac and its great
My favorite iMacs are G3 and G4, I still use my G3 for Garageband and iTunes for listen to the Radio stations. The G4 i still use it to transfer mi old Handycam and analog (Betamax and VHS) videos. Still very useful both machines

I love your videos man. I think that the evolution of the MacBook would be super cool! You don’t have to tho, I’m guessing that the researching and the drawing takes a while but it would be a really cool idea for a evolution video.
I just realized that it is true that it is unnecessary for a desktop computer that sits next to a wall to be that thin, but maybe Apple wants us to move our desks to the middles of our rooms! 😂

The iMac G3's gumdrop shape and Bondi Blue transparent plastic is forever ingrained in my memories. When I was a little girl, my school had iMacs instead of PCs, which they started using in 2003.

The animation is AMAZING
I bought a G5 for about $130, including shipping, from eBay, last June. Heavy, but fun, great keyboard and ability to run Windows.
G5 is PPC based so Windows can't run on it. You probably mean the first Intel iMac that was externally identical to the G5.

Nicely produced video but a couple of minor corrections: the screen in the first iMac was a CRT ("Cathode Ray Tube") - not "CTR" - and widescreen Macs have a screen ratio of 16:10, not 16:9.

I've never really been a big fan of apple and their products, but you gotta respect how revolutionary they were and what a genius Jobs was, huge fan of his work. I wish they were more honest with their products and didn't just try to steal people's money. I remember having a full class of iMacs G3 on my IT lessons in primary school in Poland. It was like 20 years ago .
This made me wanting an iMac. Aaaand... It also would help me a lot, because I am learning to code, and supporting Linux, MacOS, and WIndows at the same time, is even better than just supporting only two, or only one of them.

This is great! One thing though: the first Apple personal computer was the Apple I, not the Macintosh.
There were a number of PC produced by Apple before the Mac line. Apple II (IIe, IIc, etc.) in huge numbers. The I and the Lisa were not really reaching the masses.

I have and still use the 27" iMac from 2014. It has a Retina 5k display. 4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7. 32 GB 1861 MHz DDR3. AMD Radeon R9 M395K 4 GB. It did cost me 4.895€ at that time it was build.
But all in one nice video, thanks for your upload!
It seems to me the 2014 is found (second hand) not so often like the model before (2013) and the one after (2015 mid and late). Any idea why?
