The most recent generation of Macbook Pros are incredible. Powerful, portable, and 14' is the perfect size. I got the base model and I still feel like I have more computing power than I really need for a college student. I would recommend it to anyone because it fits anybody's needs.
Well said. I’ve already sold my first born child for my M1 MacBook Pro and will continue my blood sacrifices all in the name and pursuit of the glorious Apple Inc. Praise be to our leader Tim Cook and our glorious overlord Steve Jobs.
@@nath-wp7xp Glad to hear that, hope you are enjoying your new MacBook! First borns are usually a headache anyways. I found blood sacrifice to be a neat way for the family to bond and discuss how much we love Apple products! Not the biggest Cook fan, but I can’t say no to his products. Praise him!
i got the new m2 macbook air in midnight with 16gb ram and the upgraded 10core gpu, i fairly often use a windows 11 emulator to run solidworks and other programmes for my engineering degree, battery lasts 8/10 hours with some intense 3d modeling and its incredibly fast and smooth. i dont even bring the charger with me because it lasts so long, other students with windows laptops have to charge after a couple hours. it's crazy how efficient it is
the main reason why i went with this spec is mostly the display. 120 hz is silky. m2 is great but once u go 120, its hard to go back to 60
Software engineer here, same machine, running dozen active tabs, softwares + servers + databases + 4k 120hz monitor, only 10% of cpu load, it's impossible to get all juice out of it, for you it's like driving ferrari with 5km per hour :D even the cheapest m1 base air model with 8gb ram would be more than enough for most of the people
The MacBook Air has been updated over four times since the original release. The first revision introduced better performance, a bigger hard drive, and a Mini DisplayPort for peripheral monitors.
Wasn't mini DisplayPort the one the looked exactly like USB A?
Edit: NVM, that was Micro DVI which was also on a MacBook once.
It will always have better performance
no Bach and Mozart updated it more and made it better imo
I updated from a 2019, i9, 15" with 16gigs of ram to a M1 Max w 64GB ram and 1TB ssd, so far it has been great, love the new form factor
what do you use that for? god damn
@@maxmen1004 Heavy programming like tens of docker pods running, databases and almost always 5 to 7 projects opened at the same time, and yes I need all for my workflow
I had many, many MacBook and PowerBook models over time. I actually keep a iBook 14" early 05 model around. But my most recent jump was from a 2015 MBP 15" to a new 2021 MBP 16" (it was long overdue, felt that the touch bar and lack of ports was a gimmick in the 2016-20 models) and it's been an amazing laptop. I've owned several variations of the MacBook (normal/Pro/Air) and honestly previous to this 2021 model, the carryover style PowerBook G4 06-08 MacBook Pros were my favorite, and I feel that the 2021 is a bit nostalgic to that model, mostly in regards to the laptop's case with the rounded bottom edge and the flat edge around the display.
Macbook Air left me wondering "How the hell does it's motherboard fit in there"
great vid! I remember seeing my older sister's iBook when I was young and thought it was so cool. then later when I got into college I got my first laptop which was the 2006 MacBook prob. most of everyone in my art school was using that or the white or black MacBook. years after college I was on iMac after iMac, now I got the M1 MacBook Pro to replace my 06 MacBook Pro (which still works). time flies
I have the MacBook Air m1 and it is b far the most superior I have ever had and now I realize why they're so expensive but it's soooooo worth it! crazy to see how far they've come
Macbooks are actually pretty great than I first expected!
Keep up the great work!
lol no
@clog Gaming silence.. You delusional apple fan

The original MacBook Pro was fundamentally a PowerBook G4 but with an Intel Core Duo chip system, an iSight webcam, a MagSafe power connection, and no built-in S-video out or modem. So it was a pretty good start.
I also remember how the 1st-generation MacBook Air replacing the Intel GMA with an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M was seen as a big improvement by many, along with in early 2009 when it was added to the polycarbonate MacBook. (My first Intel Mac was actually a 2009 polycarbonate MacBook in that older form factor and the NVIDIA graphics; a great start for me!)
Even though I know it's pretty old I still have a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro, it's very helpful even though it's age is pretty old.
I have one too but it has the white screen of death. I got a 2011 Macbook Pro logic board to put inside of it but I've been waiting 2 months to be able to do so

great video, I always love watching your videos when they come out! Keep up the great work!
Good overview of mac portable history but I feel there’s a couple omissions that should have been mentioned:
• You didn’t mention why the powerbook was so revolutionary. It was the first portable computer to have the tracking device below the keyboard which had the added benefit of a wrist rest. I think this trackball is hands down the biggest influence Apple has over the entire PC notebook market. More than Airport and more than the chicklet keyboard.
• You didn’t mention the Powerbook G4. The first portable with a metal case! And thats when they started to get super fucking thin. You can trace todays Macbook Pro design back to the G4. I used to go to Macworld every year and have experienced only two jaw drop holy shit i can’t believe this thing is real moments: 1) seeing the first iPhone rotate in that cylindrical display and 2) Closing the lid on the Powerbook G4
Well, there are many other evolution videos uploaded by ytubers, but your ones very interesting to watch and helpful, and most importantly what is best about you is that you capture brief history and details of whatever evolution videos you work on, and they are 100% authentic, no misleading information🙂🙂👍, that's why your evolution videos are best.
currently using the macbook pro 2015 and its still good. never hangs and its so smooth.
Thank you so much, you are the best evolution *CZcamsr* ever and I wish you good health and the best life ever, *Flatlife!*
The MacBook Pro 2019 with touch Bar you mentioned is the one I own I wanted an upgrade from my 2010 MacBook and I bought one it may be outdated a bit now because it’s 2022 but I bought it in 2020 and I still have it 😁 it’s worked wondered for me and done well it’s a generally good Mac and I use it for everything including editing the graphics and display aren’t that bad either but in a couple more years I might upgrade again and buy another MacBook Pro as I may need more storage and better performance but I love my MacBook a lot 😁
It’s hard to imagine how far Mac has come over the years since the first one came out in the 90’s 😊❤️
Rip Steve Jobs
I remember when the iBook G4 was released, kids in my elementary class would fight over the few my school had whenever we had computer lab time
owned the 2007 as a little kid, then 2012, 2019 then and now an M1 Pro since 2021, time truly flies...
18:07 to 18:22 is a MASTERPIECE 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I remember the time where steve jobs introduce the original MacBook air and steve jobs was proud of his creation and i like these nice videos and even before watching the video i can tell it will be a banger of a video
When I was a kid my uncle gave me his old macbook. He got the air and I got it. It was the original MacBook and it still works to this day. I play online games on it sometimes still lol
Another great video. Keep up the good work
watching this on my 2022 macbook air m2... this thing is great for what i need. ived used 2022 macbook pros and they are even better.
This video is amazing, keep up the good work!
You KNOW it’s a good day when flatline uploads a vid.
Um it’s flatlife
And it's always on weekends too!
I remember the Macintosh portable. My whole school had one in the 2 library’s.
my road warrior was powerbook lombard G3 and powerbook G4 the first wide screen laptop.. powerpc was so powerful back then..
Amazing! Great job again :)
I have been waiting for this. Thx u flatline
awesome video i was waiting for this topic from u nobody else does it better and simpler than u
Good job Steve Job
Thank you for everything you did to us
R.I.P Steve
I have been waiting for this video for a lifetime I commented on a video for you to make a evolution of the MacBook and it's here
I recommend you do the following:
• Evolution of Federal Signal
• Evolution of Whelen
• Evolution of Plymouth
Edit: You don't have to, but it'll be interesting.
that's just a video about sirens. look elsewhere on youtube for that.
@@notamorningdragon It’s just a suggestion, mate.
@@notamorningdragon Without the siren companies: ATI, Whelen, Federal Signal, ACA, ASC, etc.
Many lives would've been lost.
And people didn't have all the technology to save everyone, so they built sirens for many purposes.
• Severe weather
• Prison escapes
• Flood warning
@@notamorningdragon We have good technology today, but we're still using sirens to this day.
Much appreciated, I suggest you should include software evolution as well with hardware.
Wow, it's amazing to see how far the MacBooks have come over the years! From the original MacBook Air to the latest generation of MacBook Pros, Apple has consistently pushed the boundaries of performance and design. It's like a journey through time, and I can't help but appreciate the progress they've made. 🚀💻 #AppleEvolution

I had the last polycarbonate MacBook in middle school, and then got a 13" MacBook Pro with Retina display in high-school.
turned out the video it self and the macbook are MACnificent!
As a MacBook Air 2014 user, damn MacBooks have advanced even from my MacBook...
I think you should do a new version of this video, because of the new MacBook Air and Pro, Which were introduced in WWDC22
24:10 it comes with up to 8TB of storage, which is even said later in the video.
I've been waiting for this video for over 2 years. Thanks so much!
2017 MacBook going strong here. I love it!
The 2000’s i book and i mac bring so much memories 😬
"there's something in the air" top quote of all time
The laptop you displayed as the first MacBook Pro is actually called the PowerBook G4 and it was made out of titanium.
m1 really did wonders for mac. One of the best laptops out here right now is the 14 inch macbook pro. W laptop
I still have the 2016 MacBook Pro 13” the one that Jony Ive designed! and introduced and did the voice over for when it was released after watching this Im gonna keep it forever lol. Because it’s beautiful just like the iPhone 5s! man I miss Jony Ives designs ! Apple has gone down since he quit them.
love ur vids!!! keep making more evolution videos, i love these
me too
I think that Mozart came back alive and updated the MacBook today
19:02 No the 13 had also only 8GB of RAM. The 15 or 16 Inch had 16GB
U guys deserve 10 million subs for all the hard you guys put into this
Not really hard work

Even the perfect made drawn laptops they’re Awesome!
i was always an apple hater (kinda) but i actually tried an iphone and i fell in love. i also got a watch and an old macbook air. even though its old, it runs like new. Fucking awesome.
i'm using 2012 macbook pro, and than now i use MBA M1. i thing performance from macbook so incredible 🥰

$6k for the Mac book pro
Me: I’d rather get a gaming PC
the Mcinstoch fact reminded me of how the project name for the first iPhone was 'The Purple Project' and apple never released a purple phone til 2020..
This video was sick
15:57 I can’t realize how Apple didn’t notice that the touchbar was a terrible idea. Very easy to accidentally touch something you don’t want to touch, very hard to learn and get used to the new ways of “commanding” an app. There were cases I turned my laptop camera or unmuted myself accidentally during zoom calls because of the touchbar. Also, when typing something into word, multiple times I touched some weird command accidentally as well. Fortunately Apple gave up that thing later on.
Im just really glad Apple put back fuction keys
This man deserves 1million subs
IMO the best MacBook ever made was the Mid 2012 13” MacBook Pro. While yes, it wasn’t as powerful as the bigger versions, it did not suffer the graphical issues that the other MacBooks had. This was also one of the longest production run MacBooks, ever. It came out in mid 2012, and was discontinued in 2016. It was also the very last user upgradable MacBook, before they started soldering every component onto the logic board. This is also why Apple sold a lot of them, because people wanted more freedom in upgrading their laptops. Therefore, Apple continued to produce them up until 2016. Apple, please listen to us. Bring back upgradable RAM and storage slots. That’s all we need 😔
Been with you since 20k subscribers
A clean job deserve a brilliant recommendation STB SECURITY you really save my life
Thanks so much..
This year in march, they launched mac studio with m1 ultra so please add it to the mac evolution
Keep up your great performances, but i am still gonna pick the iPad Air 5. Btw i have an i5 Acer Aspire
Macbooks are great love the video of its evolution
YESSHE FINALLY DID IT. i asked him to do this idk if he did it cuz me but he did it.
I still remember when there was a dvd port in the Macbook Pro
Me who is using a Macbook 17 inch is happy to use such a piece of history
I'm very impressed with the MacBook Air 2008, it has created a new era for laptops, an era of thin and light computers. Vietnam would like to send greetings to everyone.
Good informative video, think apple messed up new MacBook air changing from wedge shape as the shape was iconic, new shape looks like all other laptops, also they need to bring back glowing apple logo on laptops and put it on iphones
i love your videos! now i know all inf from iphone produkts
💻LOVE MY MACBOOK AIR M2 16GB 1TB 13IN FOR MY DJING…. LOVED THIS VIDEO🤘🏾👏🏾🔥👏🏾
3:04 - 3:06 in 2003 the iBook G4 was released and it had an entirely new design
I have a Macbook Pro Retina 2012 (3-rd generation) , and it runs great after 10 years of usage and a lot of programming. If you want an forver working computer, just buy a mac. The PC is easier to fix after 2 years of use, but you have to do it all the time, and that makes it more costly. (I am not even talking about the crashes). My mac can also handle monterey although it is not supported. Upgrading a PC without TPM 2.1 to windows 11 is really hard.
Steve was ahead of his time
