The Wii and the Wii U in my opinion merged in a way to form the switch
-motion controls
-two ways to play
- a pro controller
-and joy-cons look like wii remotes and the console looks like a Wii U gamepad
Those consoles certainly paved the way for the innovation of the Switch.

Fun fact: the Wii remote was meant to be an new controller for the GameCube, and Nintendo even made a prototype of it with wired connection to the console, but later they pushed it to be launched with the Wii since the GC didn't sell that well.

Fun fact: the nes and snes controller that comes with the nes classic and SNES classic has the same cable as the nunchuck so you can use a nes or a SNES controller on the wii!

4:57 I know the N64 Control was poorly designed, but for me it's one of the most accurate controls, with the exception that the analog breaks fast, but it was a pretty remarkable control.

@moon i agree, it was perfect for the time, it was essenrtially a snes controller on steroids, it keeps the old shape but with the extra 3 grips and the analog stick.
I like the unique 3 pronged design. It was comfortable. The only part not comfortable was its analog stick.

I feel like Nintendo can improve probably by making those screens a little bigger. Like the OLED model. And improve the color choice for people who like Various colors and styles. And as always, Thank You!
Yeah and they should at least have a 1080p resolution instead of the old 720p ones
You can customize them yourself. I changed my joycons to indigo to match my Gamecube controller. It's very easy and only takes like half an hour to complete. I would definitely recommend to do it if you want colors that aren't available through Nintendo.
Edit: You can also change the backplate which takes less than 5 minutes, I did that as well.

You forgot some things, 1. New style SNES/Super Famicom Jr. 2. iQue Player (Chinese Exclusive), 2003. 3. Wii Mini, Late 2012 (Around the same release date as the Wii U). 4 & 5: NES/Famicom Classic; SNES/Super
Famicom Classic. 6: The Wii Classic Pro, 2008 (Repositioned the cord, made the controller look more conventional, and has 2 handles)

I don't understand why everyone dogs on the N64 controller. (I grew up with the Wii, no childhood bias) I own and play the N64, and it's fine. Pretty comfortable for 3D and 2D games.

The next controller from Nintendo should have the A, B, C, X, Y, and Z buttons on the left side. The analogs should be on the right side. The triggers should have force sensitivity, and it should have a guide button which is either the Super Mario symbol, or the Nintendo logo.
11:46 That's not a charging brick. It doesn't charge the controllers, its only purpose is to make it more like a regular controller.

Another Fun Fact: The joy-cons for the Switch OLED are mainly white, but you can still (very rarely) purchase Neon Blue and Red. White could also be a replacement for the gray joy-cons (in the original Switch).
