Interestingly enough, the X button is always used to confirm options while the O is for cancelling even tho X it means "no" and O means "yes"
it’s swapped in every other region it’s only like that in Japan
In the PS Vita O is yes and X is no
@@Grindingtillllegendary No it isn't lol. Maybe you own a japanese version
@@tjeerdtrekkie1030 could have sworn it isn't, or maybe I just don't remember. Any way to know if it was made in japan or another country?
@@Grindingtillllegendary Not certain. But what I do know is that X and O are still exactly like the normal Playstation. Is X on the bottom or or on the right button on your Vita? Maybe that can be a region change or something? Or you just misremembered
2:05 “Circle means - yes and cross - no”
Literally in every PlayStation game and PlayStation itself: the opposite
It referes to japanese meaning of these symbols. On japanese consoles circle button was for accept/enter and cross for cancel/back, creating the same layout like on Nintento (A - "accept" was on the right; B - "back" was at the bottom). Some time ago function of O and X was unified all over the world, taking away japanese original meaning.
Actually when you play gta on ps3 circle does mean yes but for some reason on ps4 circle means no
Not in Japan. In Japanese market, it's a common practice that O means - yes and X means - no.
Outside Japan, X do however mean - yes and O mean no.
Why do some people don't understand that some markets are different?
Yeah why does tekken 7 have to confuse us
@@CubingBones Probably because Tekken series are Japanese games.
I LOVE the DualShock 4. It just feels so good to use compared to the previous ones and I haven’t had the chance to use the DualSense yet

I love these types of videos that do animations. I know they must be expensive and time consuming. So thank you I truly appreciate your work and providing us fans with good quality entertainment.
The only thing that is expensive is:
1. Animation software
2. Nothing else

Ah man I remember all these controllers. In fact I actually do have 1 of each controller. The DualSense controller is bigger than people realize. When I went back to the PS4 controller it hit me on how small and tiny the controller felt in my hand compared to the DualSense. Guess I'm just used to using the DualSense now 😅
Bro same
wait u have Boomerang?
Use the dualsense, then go to dualshock 3 lol
@@nytesla_punk3327 Actually I have recently a few times this year lol, it does feel definitely weird in my hands.
Same bro
I remember I first played with a DualShock 4 controller. I loved it. At the time, it felt like a controller should. Now with the DualSense controller, it's about as great as the DualShock 4 if not better than it. USB-C is a reason why, however, the haptic feedback takes it to the next level.
i think it feels better than ds4, i love my cosmic red ds5

It takes a while to get used to the select/start buttons of PS4 joysticks. The touch pad makes it easy for some hotkeys if you use it for emulating older consoles on PC, like either taking a screenshot or activating fast-throttle.

4:02 Woah that's sound incredible! DualShock Is really is the franchise since 1997
I can imagine several ways of improvement
1) They can separate hands (which they already do with PSVR) and thus allow for free hand movement.
2)They could also replace buttons with advanced haptic feedback, which could allow for different button layout configurations and improve reliability by removing moving parts of physical buttons (although not sure how durable are advanced haptic feedback units).
3) They could make the controller shape adaptable (imagine gloves).
4) They could add space detection cameras (like in selfdriving cars) to further improve on gyro capabilities of position detection and movement in space.
And obviously they could combine all this, but thats a long way, obviously, so it is probably going to be gradual change bit by bit (as it can be already seen in this video).
no matter how advanced, touchscreen-buttons are a fucking awful idea. i do like the idea of playstation joycons though

My favourite controller is the dualshock 4, i really like it's design and the feel of it.
As long as a controller has parallel sticks then it's a faulty design. Dual Shock 4 is a portly designed controller, just like all of Sony's controllers
I love you doing these play station vids it’s soo cooolll Plss keep it up

Cool video! Thank you. However you forgot to bring up the clickable analog sticks that act as two additional buttons. I was curious as to what generation controller that came around.

@Nick sad
I like the boomerang controller part cuz its funny thats somrone threw away the boomerang and it returned FLAWLESSY
4:18 EVERY SINGLE BUTTON HAD SENSITIVE PRESSURE. Man, Why do everyone forget this feature? The best controller ever.
I do love the playstation controller. It's one of my favorite's and is definitely one of the best controller's ever made in my opinion. Nintendo has made some really good controller's. I like the SNES controller, N64 controller and the gamecube controller alot. I think those are some of the best controller's.
PlayStation controller's feel like they have more SNES DNA than any Nintendo controller after the SNES. I mean there really isn't that much difference between the first PS controller and the SNES controller it has only two extra buttons and replaces the D-Pad with buttons but otherwise...
i played the 1994 one. i didnt even imagine PS would come up with this
Thank you so much ☺️
This is amazing console masterpiece
Love you Thomas!
10:14 WHOA
the dualsense controller is amaziong and to date is my favorite controller of all time hands down not even close
I love how 1-3 the controller looked the same but 4 and 5 look completely different
Me: WOW the ps5 controller look so good!
My bank account: *You can’t do that*
Love the channel
One of the best things about the Playstation controller is its originality, particularly with the face buttons which are unique to Playstation whilst all other consoles use the same A, B, X and Y buttons
i would want a crazy looking controller like the boomerang, but one that you can still actually use.
I couldn’t imagine a controller without analog sticks
Me neither!
@@Flatlife if i was sony, I would make a psp+ with great handle and backwards compatible to from ps5 to ps2 games
I was skeptical about the dualsense at first, but after getting a PS5 i've quickly become to favor it over any other controller i've ever used. the streamlined handles that are decreased in size allow for easier grip, and the bumpers being twice the size of the usual bumpers make it much easier for me to play claw grip, as before my fingers would often slip off the DS4 bumpers. And all while sticking to the playstation controller fundamentals everybody knows? all around amazing
Yeah I was skeptical until I played Astro Playroom and Returnal. Feeling the rain was incredible. Using the triggers in Returnal was mind boggling. I cannot wait to see PS5 exclusives start using these features more now that the cross gen era is ending.
My favourite was the PS2 controller. I never used the touch pad or other sensors on the PS3 controller and they are just added things that can go wrong.
Wow this has evolved so much 😮
I like your animation

Fun fact : PlayStation 3 logo is got copy by Sam Raimi Spider-Man logo which is why PlayStation 3 logo is so familiar!
Fun fact: when the Mad Max video game was being developed, it was originally going to be on the PS3, but they decided to release it on the PS4, because the pause menu and map were two different buttons. The middle button was for the map, and the pause button for the menu. It also had a photomode, meaning you could take pictures of parts of your gaming experience within the realm of post-apocalyptic Australia. The game was decided to be released on the PS4 for that reason, because the PS3 didn’t have a screenshot button
