Ok, now make another 20 tracks for an extended 3 hours live show.
Surprised so see so much progress so soon. Looking forward to Watch Me Burn
Jon you have to do a quick tutorial on that software and teach us something new. Even though I am not a "live performer" but why not the knowledge?! Thanks!
in my opinion, your live setup is a refresh of the dj stuff (which amazes me). i am currently trying to combine both (it's a kind of a hybrid between a dj and a live setup inspired by yours)
Awesome VJ setup!! 👍👍
So many buttons...if in doubt, HIT EVERYTHING! 😂
I would suggest you to add some dim coloured lighting strips behind the projector block to make a glow
Thanks for showing the process! :) would be super interesting if you explain how your Ableton setup works!
Wow Fu** 🔥🔥 this is insane ❤️❤️ I can remember those days when you started with a minimal requirements in a small home and now just boom 🔥🔥🔥 it's inspiration man ❤️.
Very cool and coming along nicely. Love that visual distortion effect!
Not hating but those computer graphics seem like the early 90s , didnt they really evolve in like 30 years ? I honestly prefer some videos
This is very awesome and cool man...and yes the hard part shall be the gigs...and also I never managed to find those block things that I was thinking about from the last video🙈
Im in Canada but I would legit pay to check this kind of live show ! Congrats on the progress
am so happy and glad u managed to do it . well done . i attempted doing a similar thing with a launchpad pro and a tv below it . couldnt manage it tho due to software limitations and bugs . good job again tho
Ableton/Maxforlive is perfect for this
This is really awesome work
Open Sound Control is a good option
It’s taking shape nicely,impressive 👍🏻
Amazing!!
Looks awesome!
SUPER COOL BRO !
I was on the way to say, -You should use a projector behind the screen(s). Then, I realised, you want it cube shape. But, then, what about doing metal frame squares in the size of the cubes with a fabric made for back-projection? Not sure I make my idea clear ;-) Anyway, it looks great what you are doing.
Looks dope Jon!!! How was the learning curve on resolume?
pretty easy
Amazing stuff as per normal!!! Question: Does Arena Resolume have all those sorts of techno visuals within it.. or are you having to import videos? Cool looking stuff :)
Live visuals + running ableton live = 19 cpu on a m1 air.. thats absolutely crazy.
Hi Jon! What is the name of the software you are using to make the live graphic backdrops? And why don't u make a video showing how u connected it to Ableton? Thanx!
Resolume Arena
It’s not actually connected to Ableton, it just used MIDI data same way ableton does, so you can program it to trigger video clips when you play a synth/midi.
If Jon does decide to use a separate laptop for visuals he will have to use MTC or SMPTE to connect to ableton.
@@The_only_Manny not necessarily. Resolume supports Ableton Link. SMPTE would be a bit more complicated for what he is currently doing with software
@@dsquareddan Aw true! I forgot about Ableton link.
Another option is that if he’s using macs he could also send MIDI over network
you could definitely use a mac mini for this. Deadmau5 is a great inspiration in handling visuals yourself, he uses 2 mac mini for rendering on stage
yo this is actually sick
you need to do ur live sets on twitch!!!
For your backdrop you might consider plastic dowling rods that you can form to a shape and then have white spandex that you can pull over the structure created with the rods. It’s cheap, light and easy to transport. Perhaps get a set design company to build it for you? Just a thought.
I already ordered camping tent rods should work and they are super light. And than a white projection screen on top
@@Jonsine great minds think alike nice one
Naissss
Brother what laptop are you using? I heard you mentioned m1 but which exact model and specs?
I ask cause ive been looking on some used m1 air and macbook pro 13 now that the New 14 inch came out but i do not want to spend the extra Cash on a laptop if i can save that extra Cash and spend it on ableton and vst and ather cool toys!
I am now trying to get a good laptop in order to run a full version of ableton in order to learn on it since i do not know much of how to use ableton.
Thx for your time.
Your mac specs please?
Hey man. Have you ever checked your ssd swap thing on your mac? People complaining about it. I was thinking of getting it but I m confused.
Soo cool
Beeple visuals are great to learn with, but understand that EVERYONE uses beeple. Every VJ instantly recognizes those visuals because they have been used to death. There are so so so many other visual loop packages you can get. Resolume website has a bunch, kind of pricey, but worth it. Also look into STVinMotion, he has great visual packs and amazing resolume tutorials. Some of the best tutorials actually IMO
Another good one is Zero to VJ. He has some amazing packs and super cheap. Also ToughGhost
Thanks. Will check them out. But probably we will make our own soon
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
advancedddddd setting.....🤣🤣🤣dmb
Why boxes???
They are just left from the last idea. It will be a round Screen
Does you MB Air have 8 or 16GB RAM?
16gb
Third
Second ;)
First
Its amazing how you can run all that on the macbook air
And congrats @Jon Sine on making the setup work, you inspired me to make my own setup work haha
Jon...Looks fantastic.. Well done. Great... But I think you are building the house from the roof down... Lights and all this is the last thing.. The main columns are the music and your performance.. You should invest your time in the music and how you play it.. This is the very last thing to think about.
I need to know everything upfront since it’s a very complex integrated system. Playing is actually last the ‚Instrument‘ first needs to work.
@@Jonsine An ex Ableton employee expert in teaching Push 2 to all music around the world, saw my live performance nad my interest and gave advice that is worth one million dollars...When you do the live forget aobut cvontrolling everything... Just concentrate in one thing.. One instrument,.. Nothing else,. Everything else should go automatically like a playback.. You just do one thing in every song.. The bass, the strings, etc.. JUST ONE THING..!!!! Remember.. I was becoming crazy controlling everything..
fifth😂😂
Well you need to have all visualisations made for every song you want to play otherwise it's not too good. And you won't be able to have anyone with you on stage and no drinks and drugs, so it's pointless idea..
I guess you already had too much drugs....? Your comment makes absolutely no sense at all
Super dope!
Oh man thats looks just epic. definitely the best idea you came up. this will stand out a lot from all djs and makes your set so much more alive and interesting.
Looks good Jon! Hope to see you in VERA Groningen soon!
