I think you should do an entire video on routing as it is one of the most confusing bits in my opinion. I think it would help out a lot

Such a dope setup!!!! I think a hybrid studio with some outboard gear routed into a DAW is the best way to work!!!! If you can afford it do it

Hey Jon something like the Flock Audio Patch (Digitally Controlled Patchbay) might help you get more configurations out of your equipment while keeping the Digitial/Analog Hyrid setup you have. Really cool.

Absolutely your summing mixer does "sum thing" it sums 16 things! 😄 With regards to analog summing I have found that the more channels you sum in the analog domain, the more noticeable the result... and, for me, the benefits are clear! Clear being the operative word... so, to visualize the difference imagine a sharp photo with a 1 pixel blur on it - that's the digital summing. Turn off the 1 pixel blur - that's the analogue summing.

Love it, what happened to your Iridium and that crazy hybrid expensive synth module J8 or CS80 or similar?
I think you should use for listening the dbox dac (you can monitor what comes back from AD so you listen the final product from your full chain) as is mastering grade and extremely neutral

Thanks for this overview Jon. The Tegeler Crème RC i have now here for testing, i think it will stay. :-) Back in the day`s i was not so interested in analog stuff, because of the dificult workflow. But your video about the Crème shows me new opperstunities.
One question i have, wy did you link the Bettermaker stuff? Didd`nt you lose flexebility with having these linked? For example, if you want to change the order... eq -> before compression, or after the compressor? Another scenario would be, to use maybe the compressor, or EQ on a Vocalbus, to make them shine thru the analog world? Just for having the ability to do this quik, if you will.

Vor gut 2 Jahrzehnten, haben sie die Dinger alle aus dem Fenster geschmissen. Da konnte man die teilweise für 150 - 300 DM gebraucht kaufen... :-)))))
Its a shame you can't get the BetterMaker Eq to go with the the other BetterMaker units, unless you get a 2nd hand one.

Hi Jon, the microphone switcher you use you called it a switch mate. Which company makes it? I can’t find anything online about a product like this. I have my microphones plugged into a patch bay but that switch mate would be great.

Ich regele das Uber die ins und outs der soundkarte. Zb Channel 5 und 6 haben nen compressor. Dann route ich in logic alles da hin so brauch ich keine patchbay und alles kann recalled werden

My girlfriend and Ibwatchveveey video. Thumps up. Love the studio. Just the desk causes me osd the wood and the uneven paint. These little details ruin a bit the look and feel of the amazing gear. I think it needs some rethinking.
