- Hey Guys, Migs Here! In today’s video, we are working on the 1974 Indian ME100 that has been sitting since 1978! We recently got it to start and run, but not drive, so we found levers to install to test out the clutch but when it came time to put it in gear, things did not go as planned… Thanks for Watching! The reason it probably has a hard time shifting is the shift shaft is rusty or unfortunately bent. If you take it out to clean it off you should also pull the clutch plates apart. By the way I love watching your content reminds me of myself.
You need to pull the clutch cover off. The clutch packs are probably rusted together. Easy fix.
Can't wait to see more of this and the MGB!

My 85 xr80 had the same problem with the clutch because it sat. All you gotta do is when you ride it hold in the clutch while you ride.
Just get a newer bike then
@@GradenGmoney44 why not just fix the old one?
Good work Migs !! Appreciate you dawg!
What happened to the street legal pitbike project? Missed that build since the first episode😅
Would be good to see
In a previous video he said the rear wheel was trashed and the spokes were coming loose and puncturing the inner tube. A replacement cost $500 so he is putting it aside until he can find a lower priced wheel.
Hey they're kind of crazy it took me forever to figure out your CZcams channel I've been watching you for years why does that sound weird but anyways I'm watching this video I live in Springfield Massachusetts that's where the Originals manufacturers of the Indian motorcycles started
Migs take it on the street get in a higher gear maybe 5th or 4th with clutch held in
Hey Megs quick word of advice on how to free up cables get some PB Blaster lithium grease as spray it down it will free up I got that trick from a CZcamsr you're welcome
Can you throw the part numbers for those levers in the video description?
Hey migs nice work on the bike it's coming along great keep up the good work and quick tip you can get that rust off with a homemade sand blaster just look on CZcams I'm sure there's a video on how to make one I know you have the skills and it would make good video content take care and keep grinding and God bless you and your family peace out brother.

If you can access one you should sand blast the frame and wheels

Take the clutch out free the plates and oil them up
That old oil looks like gear oil

Try not to repeat yourself so many times. We understand what you are saying the first time. You seem to want to repeat things 3-4 times just wasting time in your video and for diy’er we are dying thinking, get on with it we understand you want to drain the oil!
