I love how they create the drama. Because they know exactly where a $34,000 dress would be!
Are you sure? Because I've lost count of the times I've lost track of $34,000 dresses. 😅
I mean, it’s not like they can check their inventory to see if it’s there. 😂
Exactly-my first thought was, yeah, like they don’t keep exact track of where the most expensive dresses are at every minute of the day. 😑
Pnina Tornei designed this OOAK runway dress. Buuuuut we don't know exactly where we stuck it lololol.
Right? But it keeps the viewers involved and engaged for sure! But I 110% agree with you and the comment on checking the inventory lol
Okay but she was so nice and respectful. Did not throw a tantrum when another dress was brought to her, accepted to try it on and looked for the positives
Totally agree! Actually came into the comments to see if anyone else thought the same!
@@glitteratixIf anyone had asked me previously if I thought I'd have a positive reaction to a woman who was demanding to try on such an outre gown, I'd have said "No -- she'd have to be an attention-seeking, whiny brat." I would have been completely wrong, obviously! I thought she was charming.
I honestly think this dress is grossly overwhelming and not pretty but!!! LOOK AT HER FACE
I agree. When she puts it on it looks like it was made for her. The first dress did not compare. This dress was TOTALLY her.
Totally a garish looking gown.
Yeah it's so gaudy... If it wasn't 34k they'd all say it looked cheap 😂😂
It looks a Vegas Showgirl Costume, and yet (no disrespect intended) it's perfect on her and she glowed with happiness.
Both dresses you tried on would fail the sit test. That first dress was beautiful but sitting on the bling would not be possible for long before her butt would be numb. The dress she bought would fail the sit dress in several ways.
There’s no way that a shop like Kleinfeld has such a poor inventory than they don’t know where a $34,000 dress is. A producer must have put it somewhere?
Fair assumption!
I remember an interview the bride gave years after where she said that she went to Kleinfeld and just bought the dress, then she was asked to come back and film this for the show.
I think it's more that Kleinfelds has so many dresses any dress can get lost in the multitude, especially with so many brides trying dresses on that keep getting put back on the racks, not always where they originally were, searching for the perfect one. Even the most expensive dress can get lost in the constant circulation.
It’s a TV show, they purposely do that for suspense. Even Randy knew where it was.
I was thinking the very same thing
I could buy a car, pay off my remaining debt, and STILL have some left over if I had $34K laying around. Insane. Someone tell me what that mom does for a living, I’m obviously in the wrong field haha
Lol 34k would solve almost every problem I have
Why do so many Amerocans have so many debt but then suddenly have the money to bpay them off on a regular basis?! It's pathetic. Americans thin they're the greatest but really they're uneducated af!
Probably the dad. Probably owns real estate or something. What's worse is I think she got divorced after a few years, 34k on a dress and all
@@herlastvoyageMe too
This is a very old ep that has been repeated a few times. From what I recall, the mother has been saving for her daughter's wedding since she was born so that the budget could be extremely high (and this marriage also did not last).
The runway dress was designed for a tall model, it didn't flatter her, made her look short. Its very unlikely for how detailed it is that the fitting would be able to rework the dress
She is short.
Наоборот, передняя часть платья на этой невесте выглядела лучше, не такой короткой. Платье великолепное, невеста очень красивая в нём! ❤️
@@funaboutgoats8710лол нет 👎🏻
@@funaboutgoats8710I think she looked lovely as well.
disagree
This bride is very avant-garde. Her dress is avant-garde and her venue is avant-garde. With no budget? How avant-garde!
Spoilt brat. Ridiculously obliging mother.
is it...avant-garde?
She’s a try-hard!! She probably heard the saying Avant-garde once & liked the sound of it & now everything about her is Avant-Garde. She’s exhausting, low key flexing throughout the whole appointment (lake Como, “only 35,000” bargain) Anyway she was only married for a year & now divorced. He probably wasn’t Avant-Garde enough for her.
Beverly Hills, dahling!!
🙄
"I love bling!" *walks out in a curtain and tin foil*
She exemplified the saying that money, class and taste are not mutually exclusive.
Taste is personal. Why be so hateful cuz it isn't yours?!
@@MoonMagickMayhem So I’m not entitled to my opinion if I don’t like it. I think the dress is tacky. That’s just my opinion. If she loves it, great. $34k for a dress. Ridiculous. But is all relative to how much money you have.
That’s the way it is now, if you dint exclaim stunning about everything, you’re jealous, a Hager ect. It’s absolutely ludicrous. Ppl are so sensitive and hateful at the same time.
They divorced within their first year of marriage. Apparently he remarried and now has 2 children with his new wife. She started a workout clothing business. What a total waste of money.
They did??? really!?😮
@@abhilashasingh672 Yes. It was on her Facebook page.
How dyou know?? Whattt ? CraZy?!
It was all about the wedding, not the marriage.
@@mary-ellenmadigan9354 Yep!
I can make that dress out of aluminium foil for £10! 😂😂
That would be a fun variation on toilet paper bridal dress game at the shower.
😂🤣😂🤣
Money doesn’t buy taste
"My favorite day is Bastille day, I want a Marie Antoinette vibe?" She is buying an extremely expensive dress for what I assume is a ridiculously expensive wedding. Does she understand what Bastille day represents?
Thank you ! I'm French and that is exactly how I was feeling but did not want to leave this comment , coming from abroad . But you've got it right on spot !

@@pollypockets508 Precisely why i didn't , but whatever. I specifically said I did not leave that comment for that very reason, but did you read it , or should i come to a general conclusion about reading skills ?
I can definitely picture her saying "Let them eat cake".
"Let them wear chiffon"?
It's all about the drama for the TV show. This bride and her entourage were thoroughly vetted through an application & screening process. They all knew which dress she wanted. AND, even if this had been a random bride for an appointment NOT associated with SYTTD, any bride who is fixated on a single particular dress - especially for an appointment at one of the largest & most well-known salons in the world - would be an idiot not to ensure that her desired dress was available for her appointment.
Precisely!!
But there have been other girls who wanted dresses that they didn’t actually have.
I believe she had already bought the dress when they filmed this entire segment.
In 1997 my dress was $600. I thought that was INSANE EXPENSIVE. I can’t even imagine paying $34K
Not even a show stopper
You paid too much! I just got married ten seconds ago and my brand new fully beaded Pnina Tornai ball gown was free! Beat that, grandma!
I paid about $250, adjustments and all
@@thehungrygoldfish Don't be so disrespectful
@@katherineh.9379 Then don’t brag about your ugly wedding dress from 30 years ago lol
That dress is like she stepped out of a Wild West Saloon. 😂😂😂
Wrapped-in-aluminum-foil.
In 1700s France😆
That was my exact thought too!
@@jb6712Maybe it is made of silver.
😂😂😂 💯💯💯💯
I saw my dress in a magazine, in 1995, after months of looking. I found the only sample in TX to try on was actually by me in Dallas, went in alone to try it on and loved it. It was on sale for half off and bought it on the spot!
The bride who wanted the show-stopper silver dress was more interested in putting on a theatrical production with her as the star of the show than she was in starting a life with her husband. She wasn't buying a wedding dress. She was buying a costume. JMHO
Well, the whole haute couture style is pretty dramatic and theatrical.
And to be fair, she has a quite fun personality so what's the point to criticise her?
@evaveronica5222 No criticism intended. Just making an observation.
@@user-vl8qw8hp1g by saying that she was more interested in production than life with her husband? Did you ask her that and that's what she said??? Don't be funny. You don't even know who she is. Do you?

Getting married on Bastille Day with Marie Antoinette as inspiration. That's different.
So guillotine center pieces?
Eat the rich napkins?
@@charlleedodson Seems appropriate for a $100,000 dress budget wedding. 😂
Bastille Day is her favorite holiday, but she wants to look like Marie Antoinette? There's a disconnect there, or am I missing something?
It must have been a long search for that silver Pnina dress, as Randy is wearing two different neckties!
One is during the consultation, the other one is during the one on one confessional. Not filmed on the same day.
Drinking game for everytime she said avant-garde
I paused when she said that Bastille Day was her favorite day and she wanted to look like Marie Antoinette. Does she not know why Bastille Day exists, Marie Antoinette’s role in the French Revolution, or what happened to her? If someone wants to dress like Marie Antoinette, that’s fine, but that someone needs to aspire to the young, pre-Revolution queen.
If you wanted a specific dress, wouldn’t you call ahead to make sure they’ve got it?
That would be too easy and not good show material, LOL
Did she say her wedding is on Bastille Day, her "favorite day of the year", and that she wants to look like Marie Antoinette? Does she get the irony there?
In england we would say shes a bit dence !
I would love to know how many of these brides that paid a fortune for their dress are still married 😂
One of the posters on this site said they divorced and he remarried and has kiddos.
@@angel43057which site?
Yea, apparently her marriage didn't last a year! LOL
"This is my jeweler"
The third dress on the second bride was stunning. I wonder what she wore on her day.
If you like a certain dress and are obsessed with it (or at least the designer) and you have an unlimited budget, why not make an appointment with the designer and she will design you a special dress just for you?
She probably wanted to be on TV vs a private appointment with a designer. It’s all about the show with that bride.
These two brides couldn't have been more different, could they? The whole "we don't know where this very expensive, one-of-a-kind dress is" was hilariously staged. Randy just flicking through dresses like paper in a folder and randomly coming across it, come on now. They'd be able to check their inventory for such a dress. It's not to my taste, but the bride loved it, so that's what matters. I thought the 1st dress she tried on was better. It's a shame the 2nd bride didn't find her simple and elegant dress.
I think it’s great that she got the dress that she wanted! It’s perfectly acceptable to step outside the box❤
In a very cookie cutter kind of way. Funny how all these super unique people are all super unique in the exact same way.
$100000 would literally feed a whole village in Kenya or India
This is insanity!! $34,000!! I’m just gobsmacked!!
Quelle surprise, Randy found the [gratefully] one of a kind dress, the ‘Where’s Waldo’ of dresses.
I'm sure the people jaws did drop. They were thinking how awful. The dress was ugly.
Does she realize that Marie Antoinette was murdered because of bastille day?
Well not because of bastille day but I get what you mean
External beaut6y and brains do not always go together.
Not a fan of high/low dresses. I liked the silver, but $34,000!! Not worth it unless it was made out of real silver.
We have a winner in the 'tell me you're American without telling me you're American' category. Equating Bastille Day positively with Marie Antoinette is a new one 🤦
Hahaha omg 😂
Generalizing that all Americans are ignorant is insulting, and I’m not American.
It’s a bit like believing The Crown is a documentary. 😂😂😂😂😂
Not every American is stupid though. We don’t claim them. They’re just there for entertainment honestly.
I thought the same thing! Lol like what? 😅
If a bride has a specific dress in mind, should have let the boutique know in advance so they can check whether they have it, rather than go there and be disappointed when they cannot find the dress.
Many commentors have said that it's all for dramatic effect
I really like the last dress of the second bride. Gives off a Greek goddess vibe.
She does know Marie Antoinette got beheaded, right?
when your best friend is also your jeweler 👀
power move tho honestly
I loved the first dress on the second bride gosh she looked lovely 😍 💖
That jeweler is blunt but not wrong. I often find the Pnina ones look unbalanced.
I have my Reynolds foil in hand and I can recreate this silver dress if she's happy to pay me $34,000
I know you’re joking but you can’t actually recreate this dress using aluminum foil. lol It wouldn’t have enough structure to hold the shape and weight of the dress.
The dress may have been $34,000. However it didn't flatter her at all. It was a bit of a mess.
mom is adorable!!! no wonder her daughter is full of life
That $34k dress would feed the 30 ppl i feed weekly everyday for 6 years.
100k is an obscene amount of money to spend on a dress !
$100k budget for a dress is couture level rather than ready made.
Sure I've seen the silver dress before. I call it the Space Burrito dress.
I liked the third dress the second bride tried on. Less is more.
You think she’d know how to pronounce Bastille if it’s her favourite day of the year.
You'd think she'd know that Bastille day didn't bode well for the French aristocracy, yet here she is wanting to cos play as Marie Antoinette in a tin foil trash dress worth more than a lot of people's annual income.
I had no idea that’s what she was trying to say! I think she watched a Kirsten Dunst film and decided that’s her ‘vibe’.
@@rivertam7827 It didn't bode well for her. Her husband beat the crap out of her and they divorced soon after the marriage.
@@kp4911That is sad.
@@rivertam7827I wonder if brides can resell their wedding dress in the US?
I loved the last dress on the second bride.
Her earrings are amazing
I don’t care how rich you are, spending that much on a dress is insane! Can you imagine even caring that much about your wedding dress? I mean I get that you want to look beautiful on your big day, but it’s supposed to be about marrying the person you love! The rest is just extra (yes, even the dress).
Believe it or not ive been thinking about a silver/light grey wedding dress.
After watching a video yesterday and saw the most beautiful silver wedding dress it was beautiful.
When I saw a snippet of that dress on the runway, I thought it was ugly. It looks way better on her than it did on the model.
How long do you have to rest the piece of meat before you remove the aluminium wrap? 😳
To the credit of the second bride, you mean to tell me that they couldn’t find a dress for her when that entire building is filled with dresses???? They didn’t work hard enough
If $34,000 seems like too much money today, this was from 2011!
$34K for a wedding dress is obscene. Even if I had money to burn, I’d never pay that.
34k for a dress. Gag. How about a down-payment for a home😊
My entire wedding in 1979 cost $600 including RT ticket for a friend!
In 1978, my gown was $190 - with free alterations (my veil was really cheap and my shoes at a discount shoe store were, I think, $15).
She wants a one of a kind dress straight off the runway, and she doesn’t call ahead to make sure they have it at the salon?
That dress is a horror!
Dresses and ring are both ugly
Is it just me or are paninas dresses super tacky
Who pays $34,000 for dress when you wear it once!? For what 6 hours!?
That dress is 10K less than my first house 😳
Shows that money does NOT buy class.
I love how she has to identify the guy as "my jeweler". Are we impressed yet?

Has Kleinfeld considered a tracking system for their stock? You know, like bar codes?
It takes a very special person to be a successful consultant.
When I first saw the picture of the second bride with her fiancé, I felt as if they didn’t go together. I felt as though she was going to chew him up and spit him out. Not surprised to hear they divorced within a year.
That silver dress looks like something I threw away after I put over my thanksgiving turkey while it was cooking in my oven.
Avangart, that’s her word lol , she’s cute and mommy spoils her
She just knew what she want and after she try it is just made for her ❤
Why did she not call ahead and ask about the dress? The store can have it pulled and ready by then. Don’t understand the point of waiting till the appointment if you KNOW what you WANT.
There really is no accounting for taste. That first dress is horrendous imo
WHY do they keep posting this??? she was married in 2012 and DIVORCED for years
That’s hysterical
I love this show but how many times do you intend to publish same videos again and again? I feel like I can do an exam about this content and succeed in it 🤦♀️
