Angels5990. Thank you for sharing your beautiful love story and I am sorry for your loss. To me it's just a warp ideology to have.
In this day and age, 19 is much too young to get married, both for males and females. For one thing, we're living much, much longer. Men and females are expected to do so much more "with" and "of" their lives. Gender roles, and age-appropriateness are not as predetermined, so if girl wants to remain unmarried, become a mechanic, open a Harley Davidson shop, and ride around the world digging wells in remote locations and vlogging about her adventures, she can. There are so many more "life styles" to choose from! Another thing, people in their mid-20s are no longer thought of as full adults. Entering into an agreement that is supposed to be life-long when one has not fully considered all the options one has in front, is not advisable. I'm sad to hear of those young marriages in your family not working and hope all of you have found your own inner strength and created a good environment for yourselves. We do not need spouses (or children, or parents, or blood relatives) in order to have a happy life. Joy, peace, contentment, and purpose can be found in so many places!

I think most brides on these shows are more focused on their look and very few consider the fact that if it’s a church wedding a little modesty would not go amiss. By all means have a glam dress but sheer panels on the bodice, cut low at the front to accentuate the cleavage? I think these girls are all about the look and not the location. I’m sure that some will think me prudish but to me respect and a little modesty are very important in a church setting.
I think you're overestimating the amount of people that get married in a church these days. I'm 35 so have just finished a solid decade+ of attending multiple weddings a year. 2 were in a church, both Catholic. That's it. Beaches, parks, homes, and designated venues are where people get married. One of the church weddings they actually got married on a farm and then 6 months later had the church wedding to appease the groom's father.

My sister was engaged at 16 to a 21 year old and married right out of high school. I on the other hand our parents chased every single guy off so now 40 and have never been married. I habent brought a guy home to meet them in 20 years.
Ick vibes from the first family.
Sounds cultish to me
I always pause after I've seen a bit on youtube videos and I'm only at the 1:23 mark and I can tell this family is cultish and just ick. Now to watch the rest but not expecting to feel any better once I've seen more of them.
Wonder what these "young" brides will wear for the divorce party !!!
“The vigilant yet loving eye” okay so her dad is Big Brother from 1984 lmao
Ewwww! Bet Dad did pick the groom out!
Dad is gonna be watching over his daughter during her honeymoon, instructing her 17 year old husband, what to do - lol
Omg Lori looks sooo good with long hair
Why this brother has to say against his mother
I met my husband at 16 he was 19 got engaged at 17 got married at 18 and had my daughter at 19. I was married for 30 years until he died he wasn't the best but I did everything for my 4 kids to stay together. This age is way to young especially in these days back in my day people got married young. My mother got married at 19, my daughter got married at 19 all of us did not have good husbands Im the only one who didn't get a divorce my mom amd daughter got divorced because they all the husbands cheated.
That's kinda illegal
@@carly4082 back then they got married younger. I got married at 18 that's legal. He was away at college I was living at home with my mom going to school then college, until we got married that was the rules.
Yeah, but that’s not the norm, and happened in another time.
Angels5990. Thank you for sharing your beautiful love story and I am sorry for your loss.
I think it's sad that so many women are looking down on the fact a girl wants to get married and have a family at a young age but they are encouraged when they want to go out and party have good times and sleep around with a bunch of different men.
The title says shes 16. The girl herself in the video says shes 17 and the lady told ryan that shes 19😂 like how old is she really id hate to play telaphone with these people 😂
I wonder whether these young brides are still married to the same guy they were preparing to marry in these appointments or not
The first girl is not and she got away from her dad's control
Cults

People can express their views but at the end the BRIDE gets to choose what she wants. I knew what I wanted back in 1975 - went to the Pronuptia shop and explained what I wanted - first and only dress I tried on - no frilly lace, no bling and no bosoms spilling out - very classy.
She's much too young to be married. And to a much older man? That's gross.
First one is getting married to a “young man” that title was total Clickbait.
Georgia just seems like she's trying to rebel & grow up too fast...💔
These are literal children.
Dads high standards what a joke….he is on his 2nd marriage…..
I would imagine that this is his 2nd wife and he's still married to the 1st. He's got that vibe. SICK!
Lori looks younger in the newer seasons, not older, wow!
I have friends. At the time, their daughter and her bf were 18. They didn't want her to have sex before marriage, so they got married. It ended horribly.
How is this legal?! She’s a literal child and this “husband” and the father are predators!!
This episode is disturbing
Oh my god she is to young.. why could let an old man get close to his child
That is a pretty good price for a dress. I was expecting it to be super expensive, but was pleasantly surprised. :)

Where is the 63 yr old fiancé that is noted in the title?
Clickbait I guess...
Tattoos ruin everything.
The first family is a sad example of brainwashing ur children. The whole situation is disturbing
Child trafficking? 😳💔
Back in my day that age
The people that work there should have a talk with young to be bride ALONE....talk some sense to the young girl....
I'm not judging her age .. she is getting married ( hopefully only once in her lifetime) that dress should be her choice. period.
It’s a little creepy that Daddy decides what dress his daughter wears on her wedding day. I mean when it’s time for the I do’s are the bride and groom going to have to tell the minister to hang on for a sec while they ask their mommy and daddy if it’s okay? I certainly hope the groom is also young, otherwise hubby and daddy should be on that list that says keep away from minors.
17. Not a chance . Plus dad is a weirdo
1-2K is more than enough😂
Does anyone else think the first bride is an arranged marriage? Also, dad's comments about his daughter's body is creepy and sickening.
No. Not at all
I was 16 knew him 2 weeks 53 years ago. Love him more every day
Why did the assistant say she is 19 to Monte when the “bride” said she is 17
That was a different bride
Two different brides, the one with the braces was 17.
Cut in 2 episodes to confuse viewers
I saw this episode when it first was on tv & the 17 yr old’s father was extremely creepy!
Watching it again? The dad is even more creepy & disgusting!
19 it's legal😂 n thn 17 year. Oh god... 😂till 24 I was in university❤lol...
First family creepy..
my first marriage i was 19. and not muture enough to be serious about it. i divorced him and grew up after that. i remarried, had daughters. he lives in heaven now. i would love to take the first marriage and the divorce out of my background. i miss my husband, but heaven is the greatest place to be.
Is 17 leagal! What is the legal age for marriage in america and Europe!
In the US, it's 18 without parental consent. With parental consent, it depends on which state. Some are as young as 14, but most are 16+
What is going on ?😢😢😢
Id be choosing to get my 17 year old to the school bus n time. You are legally a child until 18 yet the brain isn't fully developed until 21. Dad's creepy.
Dad worried about the dress but ok about her getting married at 17
She 19 going on 15.
17 to get marry and father is strict?????? Just imagine if he was not strict.......
The old gal is amazing looking with her hair and tattoos ❤love her
The editing makes this unwatchable 😮
Would love to know if the 17 yr old is still married & has escaped the cult & her dad!
Got creeper vibe from 17 yr olds dad like on his computer ar nite looking ar stuff. Maybe teen is preg
Thank you ❤😂🎉😊😅
I think most brides on these shows are more focused on their look and very few consider the fact that if it’s a church wedding a little modesty would not go amiss. By all means have a glam dress but sheer panels on the bodice, cut low at the front to accentuate the cleavage? I think these girls are all about the look and not the location. I’m sure that some will think me prudish but to me respect and a little modesty are very important in a church setting.
When all the bridesmaids are strapless, they look naked when you sit behind them in church!
@@Secretagent71114 yes you could be right, also I don’t know where your from but I’m English and a lot of ceremonies are still held in churches although that seems to be changing.
@yvonnescholey8972 Yup, American here. We are definitely moving away from church weddings and religion generally.
I even have a license to perform marriages from my state (cost me $10) because so many of my friends just wanted someone to sign the papers at their house etc. I married one of my friends and her husband in the parking lot of a Chinese restaurant while they waited for their take out 😄
@@Secretagent71114 o that’s so sad. I married my husband at 23 and we have been married for almost 39 years. Some of our best memories were being married in church with our family and friends there. I guess times really have changed😔
This makes me feel old.
Say after me...DEK-LO-TAAAATTTTGE
If a taliban man married a 16 year old with her father being happy for her CNN would go and make a depressing documentary with sad music in the background
Yet here comic music is played and everything is considered sweet and lovely
Back in east it’s marriage between two families and economic conditions drive such marriages to secure security and financial and sex is not in the picture till the girl is mature enough and understands
Click bait
She's 17 not 16.
DAMMIT!!!! I thought we got rid of the Duggars...ok time to set some traps...
Which bride's groom is 63?
Her fiancee is an old man. Noooo turn this episode off. Sick
Click bait alert!!! She is not 16 & her fiancé is not 63. PLEASE DISLIKE.
There is something wrong with the second dad! He’s marrying her off at 17 while still in braces for goodness sake’s. The neck dress offended him but she can get married at 17. This sounds like he’s a senior member in a religious cult. That’s crazy.
Nope..... Would NOT EVER HAPPEN
Why patents alow tgis?
Holy crap
I'm sorry I don't agree with getting married at 17 or younger.
