her wedding, her theme. I don't know why they object. Also, when someone is super dark or light, a hint of colour really looks better. Same for pale redheads, a soft hue looks better than starch white

In the second one its so sweet and special that she brought her daughter and valued her opinion. Seeing the excitement on get daughters face clearly made her feel better about things and how the daughter said there was nothing wrong with the dress after the mother complained was so true, children are brutally honest so I'd take her advice over the mother's.

Last story: Personally, I loved the first dress on her, but her choice was also a winner. I hope she got her pink dress and if the entourage didn't like it they can stay home because who needs a bunch of Debbie Downers at your wedding. That is why I am such a strong advocate of buying your own dress and if the relatives don't like it either put a smile on their face and tell the bride she is beautiful or stay home. It is her day not yours.
Winner winner! Chicken dinner! I've said the same thing here a few times. I don't need help choosing my clothes any other day. I shopped alone, had a blast, and was done quickly bcuz I had no dissention. I didn't even care if anybody else liked it, but they said they did. 😊

I agree! I thought the second dress she tried looked perfect on her and I was shocked to hear the sister talk about how it made her look wide or made her shoulders look big and blah blah. That girl looked beautiful, and I hope she does what my own daughter did.....went shopping by herself, with no pressure about opinions. She chose the dress SHE fell in love with, and it was perfect on her.
The tradition here in Greece the groom pays for the wedding dress not the father of the bride and of course the groom buys the new bedroom set as well as some of the other things that are needed for the wedding. Peace and Love ✌️❤️ from sunny 🌅 Greece 🏖️🇬🇷

In the US, traditions have pretty much gone by the wayside, as weddings have become so costly. Everyone kind of pitches in by what they can afford. Many brides pay for their own dresses, while the families pitch in for the wedding and reception. My daughter and her husband were gifted their honeymoon by her cousin and his wife. They had a lovely day. There are still "traditions", but it's more what works best for each couple and what they wish for their wedding day. All weddings are beautiful, aren't they?!
@@Annie497 Yes they are beautiful. My wedding was THE BEST day of my life and I do mean it.💝 The tradition here still stands and has been for many years. I was born in the States, but moved to Greece and married the BEST man on the planet for 46 years and had two children. Unfortunately he passed away this last February on Valentine's Day. This was the MOST DEVASTATING day of my life. He ALWAYS brought me flowers on Valentine's Day for each year we were married. I hope you are lucky in life as I was. Again, Peace and Love ✌️❤️

One can love one's family and yet one needs to spend as little time around those caustic family members as possible. That is what I do. Otherwise, the caustic ones will do their best to ruin your happiness.
My mums only words when ordering my dress was what she wants she gets, and how much , that was her imput i showed her what i wanted , she said the style i chose was beautiful❤

These counsultants are so kind. They respect the bride's budget ❤❤❤ They never show dresses which is far more their budgets unless the bride or the entourage themselves choose the dress 🎉🎉🎉

Yes, if the bride brings you, then she wants your opinion, but you should know your opinion should not be more important than how she feels in the dress and you can tell when the bride loves the dress so if she does then just say you love it and be supportive! At the end of the day, if you love her, then you’ll think she will look beautiful in whatever she thinks she looks beautiful in, even if it’s not your style.

If the bride wants baby pink (lace, fitted, etc.) that's what she gets. The entourage can get what they want on their wedding day!

The consultants are such instigators when they ask the entourage “what do you see her in?”. It’s an act for the cameras. When I went wedding dress shopping with my daughter nobody asked me “what do you see her in”.
Yup. They showed me different styles, and I chose some I liked with my mom. It's how the bride envisions herself that matters!
why do they bring people if they don't want feedbacks? do they want their entourage to sugar coat them or help them choose a one of a life time dress?
First Bride: The third gown was the best, it lefted her bust up, not too low in the front or the back and was not as tight as the first one! The sleeves bring a touch more modest to it. Dad was right about it, thanks Dad ( I was a bit worried about him) I couldn't wear it where I would get married ( I would have to have the more sheer parts to have another layer of lining, otherwise no problem!)
Why are they restricted to fishtail or ballgown designs? My Wedding dress, and the dress I bought as my sisters Matron of Honour , both had A line skirts. This cut accentuated my small waist and flattered my figure. Plus, I could move around with ease. Both were beautiful dresses but, apart from my skirt shape, they were polar opposites. My Bridal gown was high necked, Satin and lace, and had a stunning train. The other was silk, had a flattering sweetheart neck, and a deep, plunging back . Just to show that anything can be designed with this shape gown.

Thing is, everyone has them, now. Society accepts them. When I was growing up, only sailors and bikers/biker chicks had them! Now, everyone has them! It's not my cup of tea, but when both my kids decided to get some, I had to respect it was their bodies and their choices as they were adults. Thankfully, they got really nice ones and well placed. They grew on me, eventually. I did make them promise me not to get any on the face or neck area. And I asked them to please think about how their placements would affect any choices in the future (jobs, clothing styles, etc.)

The 2nd bride loved the 3rd dress until her sister liked it too. After she found out her sister liked it she decided it wasn’t the dress for her.

Love this, because unfortunately sometimes in say yes to the dress people seem a little too eager to push the bride to up the budget which is sad when it CAN be done for less (now if only it could have stayed within budget, then it would have been totally refreshing)
